Family Dental Group had been taking care of my teeth for a few years now and I tell everybody to go there. I not only feel cared for when I get my teeth cleaned but also empowered to continue caring for my own oral health. In my experience, they are honest in their recommendations and care; not always ambling for the upsell. The front desk employees are usually quite approachable. My only issue has been that sometimes, as with everywhere lately, the response time regarding scheduling was slow. Still, highly recommend!

The only reason I give FDG a one star review is because I could not give a -5 star rating. I lost a filling 12-29-22, there was discomfort so I called and made an appointment the following day. FDG said they could get me in 12-30-22 in the evening. Great! I went in, full of hope I would walk out with my tooth taken care of. I made it back to the chair, had a couple x-rays and then the dentist, Jacob Roper entered, introduced himself and extend his hand for a shake. From the moment I shook his hand I felt some thing was off. As Jacob proceeded he asked me which tooth I wanted him to fix I told him but he didn't seem to hear me, and he asked again, I told him again. He tapped the tooth with the blunt end of his instrument to which I told him it was painful. Jacob was then going to apply freezing cold to the tooth to determine if it needed a root canal or a filling. I immediately resisted the idea and expressed, cold would send me through the roof. At this time Jacob told me he felt uncomfortable to continue and implied he felt I didn't trust him. I tried to understand what he was saying which only made things more uncomfortable. He said there needs to be trust between the client and provider. What he really meant is that my appearance and everything about me, made him feel uncomfortable. From this moment on Jacob was unable to maintain a professional demeanor. He told me to make a new appointment with someone else because he was done working at FDG in two days and didn't want to get involved with my case. Moments before he told me I have a nerve hanging with a thin layer of tissue, but he was too uncomfortable to make sure I would be taken care of. I was nervous to have freezing cold touch my tooth and this was enough to send this guy over the edge. The icing on the cake was when management was told about the issue, they were nonchalant and acted like it was no big deal and nothing had happened.
