I went here for a consultation for braces as my current dentist does not offer ortho. I advised the office "manager" which I now know is just the Dentist's husband, that I was aware I needed fillings. Upon my visit, the doctor was very nice. However, she advised me that I needed a root canal and needed to go to a specialist. (I'm guessing she doesn't know how to do root canals.) I got ANOTHER opinion from another dentist after sending them my x-rays. Both dentist agree they would not perform a root canal as it was not needed. So the husband calls me back and says the doctor is not willing to do braces unless I get my fillings & a root canal. I attempted to explain two other dentist didn't advise a root canal, and I would get the filling instead. His response... "Well I guess you can't get braces here and this is not the place for you." Lol what? This is the reason I do not go to private practices. I am sure I could get braces without having a root canal. More importantly, if something happens down the line, that would be on me. & Most importantly, that's NOT a professional way to answer a potential patient.

I went here years ago and did not have a good experience. Dr. Matheson never speaks to or even looks at you. Never so much as a “hello.” She just plops down in her chair, jams a dental tool in your mouth, rambles off her assessment to the assistant, and leaves. That was weird but what scared me off this place was her husband (who manages the office). I witnessed him screaming and threatening a female patient. I don’t know the circumstances but there was no reason for him to behave like that. He was completely out-of-control. The look and behavior of the employees led me to believe that this is NOT unusual behavior for him. Very scary! I’m just reviewing this place now because a friend of mine went there recently because of the “good review” on google (which appears to be from a family member) and never went back because of the creepy vibe of this place. She said she wish she had known so she could have went elsewhere.
