Dr. Ku is an amazing dentist!! Our entire family started seeing him when our long time family dentist retired. He has done such a terrific job taking care of us (and our teeth) in all the ways you hope a good dentist would, but went above and beyond when I chipped my two front teeth this summer. It was quite a tough experience for me, but Dr. Ku used thoughtfulness, expertise and technology to give me my smile back before I even knew it and I could not be more grateful. If you are looking for a dentist he is your man. Thanks Dr. Ku!!!

I've been going to see Dr(s) Ku (James and his wife Julie) since 2013. Dr. Ku took over the practice that I was previously using. He has modernized the practice with high technology, moved to a new beautiful office that feels like home. When the COVID-19 pandemic started Dr. Ku put in multiple hepa filtered units, in addition to the standard COVID requirements (temperature check, questions, etc.). The office is welcoming, kept very clean. The staff is pleasant and friendly. After my wife suffered a stroke in 2019, I took my wife to Dr. Ku because she required special attention. I felt my wife was in the best of hands possible for her dental needs. Not only because Dr. Ku was a former teacher of dentistry, but his background is very impressive. I've had long discussions with Dr Ku about his career. Finally, Dr. Ku did some restorative bone work for an implant I required. His attention to the patient is amazing, IMHO, as he discusses what he, involves you with your procedures. One very comforting aspects of his office is the imaging he is able take and explain so you can clearly follow the health of your teeth. Dr. Ku has some caring, knowledgeable assistants that clearly are trained well.

From the moment you walk through the front door, the staff are welcoming and pleasant. The technology used in this office is out of this world! Dr. Ku is warm and friendly and his dental work speaks for itself. I've heard horror stories about root canal pain lasting days after the procedure, and crowns that don't fit correctly or are of poor quality. Aside from some expected tenderness over the next day or so, I am so grateful to say that I have had no issues since my procedure and am extremely happy with the end result.

Dentists need, for me, to be more than competent. They have to be at the top of new technologies and materials. This office combines experience with evolving science. Punctuality and smooth paperwork have been exemplar during three years. The Ku office has my total trust.

In thirty-seven years, I have never been to a more friendly and professional dentist. Thank you very much. The staff was also knowledgeable and courteous.

Dr. Ku is conscientious, focused, and meticulous in all details of his practice. His training at (USC), School of Dentistry and his experience as a USC clinical faculty instructor serves him well. His vast knowledge and experience in proper dental procedures allow him to explain the best approach to solve any issue you have regarding your dental care. He has done great crowns and beautiful implant restorations for me and I am very grateful that we have such a qualified dentist in Albuquerque.

Dr. Ku is an amazing dentist. He is very thorough, mindful of the smallest detail, uses the best equipment, and keeps up with research in his field. He was a dental professor, and his mastery of work shows in his interactions and outcomes for patients. We have been with him for 2+ years, and highly recommend his practice.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Ku since he first moved to Albuquerque. His office is modern and has the highest level of cleanliness and PPE. He is a wonderful and kind man. He is a great dentist, with the highest quality of equipment. All the dental hygienist in his office are efficient and also gentle at the same time. My husband and I just had some reconstructive work done and both his upper dentures and my front teeth and it all looks amazing and we have had no trouble with any of it. We thank Dr. Ku and recommend him and his office for any dental work. Thank you.

Very knowledgeable and up to date on current technology. So nice and professional both doctors James and Julie and the staff. If Dr Ku recommends a procedure he provides the risk of waiting or not doing in a very common sense way. He understands sometimes you can't afford the procedure or can't afford to not do the procedure. I always feel like im getting the straight answer, no bull.

Came here for an emergency for my husband, everyone was nice and professional, respectful and took my husband in as fast as possible. We filled out some of the necessary documents and within 5 minutes he was in getting X-ray’s and getting his tooth extracted. Within 45 minutes we were out. Fast and efficient and not expensive. Awesome job everyone. Thank you so much for your wonderful help. We will be coming back in the future!

I came in as a walk not expecting to be seen, this was the 5th place I had visited, had horrific pain in my lower molar (#30), I was assisted immediately after seeing in how much pain I was in. Forever thankful for the care and professionalism show today, from office staff to the attending. Would highly recommend visiting here before other local places.

Dr. Ku and everyone at his office are always kind and accommodating! All are knowledgeable, up to date on the latest dentistry methods, professional, and patient. Dr. Ku is a true master! He has given me fillings, crowns, and recently an unplanned root canal. I dreaded them all. But my experience has always been positive! Dr. Ku takes the time to inform me about the procedure, what to expect, and answer ALL of my questions. He is the right mix of professional and personable that I value in a doctor. I enjoy a good laugh with him and his assistants while in the dental chair. The front office staff are stellar! They inform me of what is and isn’t covered through my dental insurance before my procedures and are willing to work with my insurance company if needed so I don’t have to. I am always in good hands and well taken care of with Dr. Ku and his wonderful staff!

Best dental office in Albuquerque! The whole staff treats you like family and yet they are very professional. The front administrative staff goes above and beyond to take care of patient needs and issues. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ku's office and staff!

After 15 years of not being able to afford dental insurance, I was pretty nervous about going into the dentist. I was so glad to find such a kind, competent, and easy-going dentist. I ended up having some big work done on one of my teeth and he did a great job. Great staff too!

Dr. Ku is a very personable dentist . He makes every patient very comfortable at his practice and tries to make everyone laugh or smile. I’m glad I get my work done by him because it is exceptional. I highly recommend Dr. Ku and his staff to anyone I know !

I have been seeing Dr Ku the last few years since he opened his office on Montgomery. It has been typical teeth cleanings for me until I chipped a front tooth last week. The staff got me scheduled for today. Dr Ku is no doubt a master of his craft! The results from my procedure to fix my chipped tooth were way better than anything I expected. The level of professionalism and technology throughout his office is impressive. I have never reviewed a dentist but Dr Ku is the exception and I will never consider using another dentist.

The VA had sent me to Dr. Ku's office for treatment. Not knowing what to expect, I was very pleased, as the staff were very friendly, putting me at ease. Dr.Ku was extremely good natured and his professionalism was 100%. Highly recommend.

I had the good fortune to meet Dr Ku 2 years ago when he arrived in Albq from Calif to take over the practice of my wife's dentist, Gary Schroeder, DDS who was retiring. My previous dentist had abruptly left town. Dr.Ku immediately responsed to my need for a dental implant which went extremely well and has continued to provide me with comprehensive dental care.
