YES! Dr. LoPour. This whole team is so warm and caring. They really specialize in making scared patients (me) feel safe, heard, and comfortable. I avoided the dentist for a decade until I just couldn't put it off anymore. When I called the first time to schedule the appointment I told the team that I have anxiety about the dentist and it's hard for me to get numb. They flagged this in my chart and when I arrived the team took extra time and care explaining what was happening, talking through options, making me comfortable. I've now been seeing Dr LoPour for a few years and I plan on staying. Also — the whole team is charming and genuinely kind.

Everyone here are literally the sweetest people. From front desk to medical staff they ALWAYS have a smile on their face and such a great attitude. I always look forward to coming. Isn’t that crazy to say? Thank you!

I recently began looking for a new dentist after 25 years with my current one. Now that I have been to Smiles by Design for two cleanings and a crown replacement, I have to think I've been missing out on one great dentist all these years! I can sum it up in three categories: technology, people, systems. At this office, you'll see an abundance of impressive high-tech equipment and procedures to use them. This says to me that Dr. LoPour stays o top of emerging technologies and dental methods. Secondly the people using them are warm, engaging, and knowledgeable. You won't experience the "cranky receptionist syndrome" that you see so many places around town. And lastly the systems. As a Certified Quality Engineer, I know what to look for in understanding how the invisible back office processes work well to provide service at the delivery point. I see lots of clues that Dr. LoPour and his staff have worked hard to design interdependent systems that work predictably. This is a top-notch dental practice and I recommend it.

I have been a patient of Dr. LoPour for preventive care, and most recently a major cosmetic improvement via veneers. The attention to detail and caring nature of Dr. LoPour and the entire office are amazing, and have helped me achieve better dental health and an incredible smile!

It has taken me some time to try to figure out how to say this. To say I have dental anxiety is a gigantic understatement. More like dental terror. Dr LoPour has managed to work with me despite this and has helped me in recovering. He is empathetic and beyond patient. I have put him through some difficult times. He stays engaged, he does excellent work, he conveys compassion and concern. Yes, he is my dentist and has done my dental work; and he has done so much more than that. How many people can say they love going to the dentist? This girl can! I had my teeth cleaned yesterday, and I felt so safe and at home. Not only did Shelley do a spectacular job with my cleaning, she also provided invaluable insights about how some of my habits affect my oral health. She's so real and genuine. I also loved spending time with Brandy - her humor and kindness makes my heart happy every time. I highly recommend Dr. LoPour and his entire team!

Dr Lopour is such a great Dentist and I trust him 100%. The staff that works for him you can tell that they truly enjoy their job. I was a very happy patient of Dr LoPour’s for years before moving away from Albuquerque two years ago. Recently, my new dentist prescribed some questionable treatments that had me concerned and wanting a second opinion. I had a trip back to Albuquerque coming up and Dr LoPour graciously made time for my last minute request to see me. He gave me a full exam, took the time to walk me through everything he was seeing, and ultimately recommended against the treatment that my new dentist had prescribed. I’m so appreciative of both the time and recommendations that Dr LoPour gave me. He saved me from unnecessary and costly work!

I received fantastic care from Dr. LoPour and his team this week. Not only did they do a great job cleaning my teeth, but they also found time to fix a last minute problem. Their Covid protocols are first rate. I am fortunate to have found a professional and caring dental practice.

I luckily found Dr. LoPour in my veneers research. I had expected at least six before my consultation appointment. After an eye to eye conversation about my smile goal, Dr. LoPour took a look at my teeth. Within less than a minute, he walked me through, with a mirror in my hand, what would actually be minimally necessary to achieve my cosmetic goal. And it wasn’t six but actually just one veneer. Dr. LoPour was also very consultative in general care of my teeth and gums. Turns out I had been getting subpar cleaning treatments. And after a routine cleaning visit, I see how this practice leverages technology for optimal treatment. I haven’t had that in any dental office here or in other cities. After a veneer procedure and routine cleaning visit, I am so incredibly happy with my smile now. I’m still amazed it’s mine. On top of all this, the customer service is top notch. This office is dialed with their patient workflow. I’ve hardly had a wait before getting back into a chair. And their financial information sharing and insurance coverage process is precise and transparent, something hard to come by in today’s US healthcare system. When I receive care from a team this friendly, supportive, and encouraging, I think of their office culture and how that must have been created by them for their patients. It’s tough to do and this office nails it. In close, I highly recommend Dr. LoPour for veneer work and routine dentistry. I have switched to his practice for good.

Dr. LoPour and his staff deliver outstanding customer service at every level! From the sweetest receptionist/billing ladies at the front desk to the very knowledgeable, wonderful assistants (Michelle and Laura) working hand in hand with Dr. LoPour, I had an a great cosmetic dentistry experience. Following is a short synopsis of my story. I had been a road warrior working throughout southeast NM (and had not seen Dr. LoPour for approximately 4-5 years). My job transferred me to Colorado last spring. While working in CO, my teeth started to bother me due to the fact that I am a heavy grinder. I went to see a local dentist and he told me I needed a full mouth restoration to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars! I was shocked, and after considering what I needed to do, I contacted Dr. LoPour. He called me one evening after work and we discussed what I had been told and what my options were. I flew to ABQ for an initial assessment where Dr. LoPour took the time to explain and answer all my questions. It saddens me to write this however I have to share my experience with this dental services provider. I recently had a crown that Dr. Lopour do for me completely pop off while I was eating a piece of candy that otherwise should have stayed on. I get there, assess the situation with his staff and him, a financial person comes in to tell me that it is going to cost me over $300 for him to fix something that he did 3 years ago and has now failed. I previously had other crowns done by another dentist in San Diego that had stood the test of time being close to over 25 years. BIG second part to this, I had another crown crack into 3 pieces that he and his team did and when I told him about it at this last appointment, some how that was NOT showing in my records. How convenient!! I was utterly and completed insulted and will never recommend this practice. EVER!
