I visited there from out of town to have a tooth fixed. Saw the younger partner. Despite having insurance they wanted entire payment up front, which I did not have a problem with. The problem I have is that they over billed me once I reconciled it with the claim from insurance. I called, and they said they apply such things to “future visits”. I logically told them since I live across the country, I would rather just have the money. They said they would send a check, which never came…. This was over 6 months ago

They saw my son on an emergency when he completely broke out his front tooth all the way to his gums. They fixed him up with a retainer that looked so real. He was very happy as was I. I think this is one of Carlsbad"s best dentists.

I highly recommend you find a different dentist to go to. After being deceived by this business that's what I did. In order to even see the dentist you first have to go get a cleaning at 32 pearls, which is owned by his wife then you have to make a separate appointment and pay the office visit fee again in order to see the dentist at a different location. The problem being that I had double and triple checked with both sides of this business before making an appointment to see the dentist and they assured me that there was no separate fee. I have never seen a dental practice set up this way and I have been to quite a few in different states over the years. I tried to work it out with the office manager but in her ever so snooty manner she made it clear that wasn't going to happen. I will be filing with the New Mexico dental board to look into the fraudulent business practices of mccauley.
