I’ve had dental anxiety and long-ignored issues for quite some time… My initial ‘new patient’ call assured me that Asheville Smile Center is a no-judgement zone. I’m now two appointments in and cannot believe how well I’ve been treated. Kaitlyn is incredible - seriously, I feel comfortable talking with her about anything, but especially my treatment moving forward. Dr.Yee is extremely kind and professional, making sure I was at ease throughout talks of my plan and during my procedures. I was also blessed by the hands of Gigi and can tell she’s invested in my well-being. In fact, the entire team clearly has my best interest in mind. They’ve been especially helpful in assisting with planning the costs and timeliness of my treatment plan. I could go on and on… after many stress-ridden visits to doctors that just weren’t a good fit, I feel grateful to have found Asheville Smile Center. Kaitlyn & Dr.Yee - thank you, thank you, thank you.

The dental assistant said in front of dentist and lady who said it was her job to take payment that the 95 dollars I'd prepaid covered the appointment since they had only taken a single x-ray. She and the dentist then walked away. I said well I guess it's covered. The money lady said " no it's not"!!! She then hustled me for 40 More bucks. I said but the assistant said in front of you and the dentist that there would be no extra charges. The money lady said, well she wasn't talking about....?.... Her words we unintelligible, quickly and DEMANDED, the 40!!!!! I really didn't get a thorough exam, like every other dentist I've ever seen before . The dentist had said you need a teeth cleaning when I was at the desk leaving and I said okay let me set up a appointment. The appointment lady was right there but he responded,no, you need to call to get the appointment. Anyway I wasted my time and money. Kinda a kooky place who act like your at a bar with a prepaid drink minimum in a seedy pat of south Florida... Don't be fooled by the decor, very nice, what matters though are your teeth!!! Liked the dentist but the assistant and money women.,,..... Not at all. Bossy, opinionated and threw down my partial dentures and could have broken them..I told her they can break but she responded she didn't care. The dentist nor the tech cared about my issues and made fun of me. I was in a argument with the tech for 20 minutes about my concerns..I told her I needed to get a sealant to prevent caries and had to convince her and the dentist to apply She told me she would get me the high level floride paste i required and she said ok but never told dentist so I left without it. I returned later and he sent me out with a RX for 3x . Stay clear of the tech and the Moneee women. She Proudly said, " I'm the Moneee person like her's was the MOST important job of ALL!!!! and watch your money with her. The dentist didn't tell me what I should do about the problem. I’m immune compromised and have become weary of what little tolerance folks have for my subtype in the “post pandemic” world. But I had a dental emergency and was kindly given the first morning appointment as requested. Not only were my particular needs met, but the staff couldn’t have been nicer. The prices are very reasonable, especially given the thoroughness of care. The place is clean and modern: you won’t feel like you entered a time machine just to be treated respectfully. I highly recommend them.

This was by far the BEST experience I have ever had at a dental office. All of the staff are great. I want to specifically recognize Angela. She was so professional and absolutely a pleasure to work with. She is the fixer of everything!!!! I will recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new dental team.

I had an appointment with Dr. Port on Monday, September 12,2022. I was greeted with a pleasant lady to check me in. Then I met Mary, Dr. Port's assistant. She immediately put me at easy with her welcome and helpful spirit! Dr. Port was even better then I expected. He was friendly, gentle, put me at ease right away! He explained all he was to do. He had studied my records and was well prepared for my appointment. I highly recommend this office. It is modern, pleasant and I was extremely happy with my appointment. Thank you all! Ann Hykin

Visited this office two weeks ago. Still waiting for a treatment plan. It doesn’t take two weeks to determine the course treatment for one implant ANYWHERE. During the initial consult they seamed very nice and attentive. Clearly there is a major disconnect here. I have called twice and been told the dentist is working on it…..really 2 weeks!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Today was my first visit after recently moving to the area, and all I can say is wow! The entire staff was welcoming, efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. The environment was clean and cozy. They deserve more than five stars!

I had an unfortunate facial trauma with concrete this weekend, office staff got me in immediately, and Dr. Yee and Kaitlyn were extremely gentle, patient, compassionate, and got my teeth right back where they needed to be. Very thankful for this office and their staff. They're basic care is always above average, but today they were a 10/5.

The absolute best office staff in the world and I hate the dentist! I would recommend them to anyone with dental fear! Gigi is awesome and super fun!

Asheville Smile Center and there staff has provided awesome service and deserves a rating higher than 5 stars. I have been to multiple dentists over the years but none compare to Dr. Yee and the staff at Asheville Smile Center. These guys know how to treat patients and are light years ahead of the competition. Ensuring you feel comfortable at all times throughout the procedure and making sure you understand shows how much personal interest they invest in each patient. Smoothest visits I’ve had in years !!! which included an extraction, root canal and crown in back to back visits(7-10 days apart) but 0 down time!!! No pain, no discomfort! And just to show how well Dr.Yee and Asheville Smile Center take care of their patients, I received a follow up call the day after my root canal from Dr. Yee to make sure I was doing okay!!! I was surprised but also impressed at the same time because in all my dental trials and tribulations I have never received a quality and level of care like this. Truly a great place especially one that knows how to take care of patients! Highly recommend coming here your search is over !!!

1st time at Dentist in almost 10 years. Back molar cracked and had to get a crown. Then a cleaning, now with Asheville Smile Center, I will be back on track for regular visits. Everyone has been super friendly, like really friendly. Dr Yee and Kaitlin did my crown and they were very easy going and kept me entertained with conversation. Seriously, NO PAIN at all. Best visit to the dentist ever. Rachel cleaned 10 years of junk off my teeth in what felt like minutes. I couldn't believe how great my teeth looked. Thank you all!

Angela is amazing! She is incredibly thorough, gentle, and takes her time with you! I’ve been other places and feel like they rushed through my teeth cleaning, but that’s never been the case with Angela. She will make sure to address all your questions and concerns. Doctor Payne is great too! Very thorough and patient. Highly recommend Asheville Smile Center!

I was so pleased with the way I was treated by Dr. Payne and his assistant Kaitlyn. A procedure that I dreaded turned out to be a nothing like I expected. I would call it gentle dentistry for a procedure where it is is hard to imagine that could even be possible. THANK YOU.

Excellent Experience!. 5 stars!!! Dr. Payne GiGi and Angela Made me feel comfortable through the whole process ... Not being at a dentist in several years I was worried about what some of my issues were going on but Dr. Payne was very Patient and Transparent about how they could help me. I left knowing that I was in great hands and had a plan for taking Care of my Dental needs.. I would highly recommend Asheville Smile to anyone.

I have such high anxiety of going to the dentist. Haven’t been in 4 years because of it. Alivia talk me through what they do for patients with anxiety and made me feel easy about coming in. Then Melissa my hygienist was so comforting and made me feel easy through my whole cleaning. She also listened attention to every concern I brought up. I would recommend 100%. Thank you Asheville Smiles for making this experience awesome and helping me look forward to my next appointment for the first time.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Port for over 20 years I highly recommend the Asheville Smile Center!

My first visit was the best dental cleaning I've had in years. My hygienist Angela was not only a great hygienist, but she was engaging, not just "doing her job", I actually had fun! I also liked that Dr Payne commented on the quality of my prior dental work. He noticed it and is confidential enough to mention it, gaining my confidence that he knows good work and will provide it.The staff was friendly and professional, all and all a very good new dentist appointment.

I had to reschedule due to work and covid 3 times, and I work in healthcare so I understand the inconvenience, but keeping the $100 I had paid upfront seems unreasonable. Guess I should have known better.
