My name is Sylvia Thompson, wife of Delbert. I am 67 years old and have gone to a lot of dentists and have had a lot of dental procedures done. This is by far the worst dentist I have ever gone to. This so called dentist can't be bothered to first numb your gums before inserting a needle with Novocain. While drilling to remove an old crown every piece drilled out fell into the back of my throat. The whole time of drilling I was choking, grabbing pieces with my fingers, gagging on everything falling into my throat, and swallowing chunks of the old crown. Never once did he stop drilling, change the procedure, adjust the suction to keep this from happening. FINALLY, he puts on the temporary crown. Doesn't ever bother to remove any excess glue or smooth the outside of the crown. For the next two weeks, it felt like sandpaper in my mouth. I can only imagine how much plaque and bacteria stuck to this crown. Oh, and after he was done with the temporary crown, he said he would understand if I would want to go to the emergency room to have my stomach xrayed to see where the materials were that I swallowed during this procedure. Talk about a nightmare. Don't be abused by this dentist practices or worst yet put your children in this type of dental experience.

Teeth cleaning day!!! The staff at The Smile Center did a great job of making me comfortable, and explained the changes in the cleaning process due to Covid. Dr. Johnson always communicates what he is doing and does a great job of really thinking thru the best options of dental care.

Dr.J is a nice and friendly dentist all tho I had a Root Canal done by him 3 years ago and developed a twitch in my face the very next day. When I went in for my recheck I told him about my face twitch..... He automatically said it was stress related.. which I know for a fact stress makes my heart weird not my face. So I finally switched dentists got referred to a specialist for the root canal as they found an absess and had to redo the root canal. And it has been almost 1 week since the redo root canal and MY FACE IS TWITCH FREE!! Best feeling in the world!! It was aweful wondering if my face was going to twitch from day to day especially when I deal with the public for my job!

The staff is very nice however coming in with an issue, Dr. Johnson makes you feel as though you are making it up or that you don't know what you're talking about. I had a root canal plus crown and had issues afterwards, rather then taking an X-ray to see what could be the issue he just sanded down my other GOOD tooth so that my bite would be less. Come to find out I had an infection in my tooth that he had performed the root canal on. Never once did he take an X-Ray after my complaint and now I had an upper GOOD tooth that was sanded down for no reason. If I hadn't followed my instincts and gotten a second option I'd still have the infection in my tooth and possibly lost the tooth in the long run. He is very cocky and each time I went in with a question on the tooth having issues I was treated as though I didn't know what I was talking about or that I just didn't know what tooth I was having issues with. I went to a specialist and they did 3D X-rays. There exact words were "There is def. room for improvement on this root canal".
