South Coast Family Dentistry

I just got back from South Coast Family Dentistry. I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. They are so nice and make you feel really relaxed which is what you need in that situation. I was amazed at how much the technology has changed too, everything is much more compact. They do in house coverage which is a fantastic way of doing things. If you're in the Coos Bay area I'd highly recommend them for your dentistry.

I have never had a better experience in my entire life!!! I have had many years of bad dental work so I've always been scared to get more work done. I started having issues with my front teeth and whole right side, from the first moment I walked in to the second I walked out everyone was so kind and personal and caring. I want to mention a few girls who went above and beyond to make my nerve raking experience amazing. Ms. Julia was the best hygienist she walked me though every step and cheered me on the whole way hahaha. Ms. Rande was so gental and knowledgeable knowing my mouth hurt but had to take x-rays she was so gentle and tried so hard to not make it hurt more then it already did. DR. Renfrow was absolutely amazing she came into the room with a plan brewing in her brain the best way to get done, what I needed and as quickly and efficiently is possible. She was very knowledgeable and talked in terms that I could understand, she also was very respectful of your feelings and the way she approach you with possible sensitive subjects. And lastly the lovely lady that checked me out before I left my other office Ms. Jamison, she was so sweet and kind and very informative when it came to planning ahead and going to the next step on getting things done also was very helpful when I came to letting me know a good time frame to call back if I haven't heard from them. All in all I honestly never thought I would say I'm looking forward to going back to the dentist to deal with these lovely ladies and finally have the mouth I've always wanted thank you so much

I have seen and been to many different dentists across the country and South Coast Family has the best and most caring dentist and staff I have come across. They genuinely care about their patients, are willing to work around your schedule and offer payment plans to meet your financial needs. Personally, I can't say enough good about my experiences with my dentist and the staff of South Coast. It's great to have such a fantastic practice in our community.

Best dental experience I’ve ever had. Highly (very Highly recommend). They have done an excellent job on everything so far. They also offer dental insurance at a fair price 😀

I’m new to the area and had a great experience here with my kids. Everyone was friendly and polite. They explained things to my kids so they could understand and feel comfortable.

Worst dental experience of my life. Upper teeth pulled for dentures by Donnick who omitted he did not “believe” in pain meds until I was leaving the appointment. Post op infection was poorly treated and when did not resolve they showed me the door. A single round of the correct antibiotic solved the issue. My last visit with Huff who took over for Donnick he told my wife to her face I had no infection even as the open hole in my gums wept pus. In all if you need a cleaning and have insurance I am relatively sure they may be competent for that. If you need prosthetics? See a denturist. My issue with the prosthetic was resolved in one visit with a denturist

This dentist office swindled me…I’m a veteran just out of the army so I don’t have insurance from my new job I told them this and tried to ask about prices over the phone they wouldn’t help me… they made me come in looked In my mouth when I already knew what was wrong and then told me they couldn’t help me then charged me for doing nothing. I left with my mouth still hurting and no help all they wanted to do was try and get me to sign up for a year long commitment for cleanings without telling me I would be in a year long contract

I have lacked the care I need due to inept dentists that only care about $$$ and constant upselling. The pain these other dentists ( yes local ones) induced by being unable to get a tooth out without feeling like I'd been to a butcher and the pain for MONTHS afterward was enough to keep me from going until I needed one out ASAP. This place is my teeth's new home.It is safe..clean...up to date..professional..human.. kind and affordable with their in-house insurance. Dr Cannon is who I went to and he's highly educated and experienced. Now I feel like I can take care of my and my husband's teeth like a normal person. Thank you South Coast Family Dentistry.

I live in Crescent City, CA where there's very few dentists, let alone dentist taking new patients. The ER in Brookings, OR suggested South Coast Family Dentistry knowing I needed an appointment ASAP for an abscessed tooth. I called and they got me in NEXT DAY! I couldn't believe it. After x-rays and a plan for full root canal I told the doctor I live in California and they made it a point to schedule my full root canal THE NEXT DAY! Thank you for saving me time and money! I will be eternally grateful considering how scared I was going in. The calmness and confidence of all the staff in this office is truly comforting.

Simply AMAZING!!

I just moved to the area last month and my tooth began to hurt. I was so worried about finding a dentist that could fit me in. I called South Coast and they got me on the schedule for two days later! The morning of my appointment my face began to swell and I was in considerable pain, I called and asked if there was any way I could come in earlier. The receptionist was so kind, and after speaking with the dentist she allowed me to come in hours before my scheduled appointment. As soon as I arrived the staff took me back, took an X-ray and explained in detail what the problem was. They prescribed antibiotics and recommended a pain remedy, then sent me off with a referral for the specialist. The whole thing was finished in half an hour. The dentist and his entire staff were just wonderful throughout the whole experience. I really can’t believe how kind and helpful everybody was. They even have in-house dental insurance plans, so the visit was affordable and my cleanings for the year are covered. This is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. 10/10 can’t recommend them enough.

Working offshore on boats sometimes calls for an emergency visit to a dentist in an unfamiliar town. I called on Monday with a raging toothache and SC folks were able to get me in on Tuesday and then a quick xray, diag, and extraction had me back to work on Wed. Fast efficient service at a very reasonable cash price. Thanks!

Always do a great job!

I would like to start by saying that I'am a seasonal worker at a golf course here and am 2100 miles away from home.My crown on my tooth cracked and was beyond repaired.I called South Coast an they were able to get me in the next day.they were able to build a temp tooth in about a hour.And they didn't price gouge me.I would recommend them for any dental needs.very professional.Thank you so much for everything

have a lot of anxiety when it comes to Dentists because of a pretty traumatic experience I had years ago. Because of the anxiety I always tend to put off going to the dentist for way too long. I was about 2 years overdue and not only was I anxious but I was also super embarrassed! The whole team was amazing from the time I stepped through the door until I stepped out. The assistant, dentist and hygienist were all kind, nonjudgmental and thorough while being attentive to sensitivity and pain making sure I was comfortable and honestly it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Night and day compared to treatment I received years ago (not local!). Great experience overall :)

My experience here has always been really good! When my old OHP dentist messed up with one of my teeth this place was able to help and walked me through the whole process. If you would like a dentists office that really cares and listens to their patients then this is the place for you✨

The Best dentist office in Coos Bay. I have been to several others and am so happy that I tried this one. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. The dentists here at South Coast are highly professtional and yet very friendly as well. They put you at ease. Just love it here. Also, they have a in-house dental plan that you pay monthly and is very reasonable. This gives you free cleanings and xrays, as well as discounts off other services. They have a nice big waiting room with big screen TV(cc). My dentist is Dr Cannon, and he really is kind and puts you at ease. Its now a joy going to the dentist.

The most awesome experience going to the dentist as I'm super anxiety. Completely opposite of the last place my husband and I were using (obviously we stopped going there for several reasons). My new doctor, Dr. Alexander Donick was incredible! So kind and patient. He walked me through every little step of my procedure and had such a calming voice and it was kind of spa like lol. We've found a new dental home and I highly recommend them. Oh and EVERYONE including reception, hygienist were so nice. Prices are even less expensive than our last dental office. Frosting on the cake 😁❤

South Coast Family Dentistry really cares about there patients. I just had an issue with my insurnace. They went above and beyond to help me out in my situation! I highly recommend this caring, knowledgeable staff to anyone looking for a new dentist office.

I had to have a very painful tooth removed today, and they took really good care of me! Everyone was incredibly nice and my visit was very fast, maybe the fastest I have ever had concerning any medical appointments. The Dentist was quick and very pleasant. I will be back soon for a cleaning and a consult on what else I need to do. I highly recommend!
