Hillcrest Family Dentistry

I was treated so unethically by Dr. Dimitrios that I feel a review is a must. I want to warn anybody that likes to question their treatment, look at all the options and be in control of their own dental health to stay clear of this office. I must admit I am not an easy patient. I am very leery of dentists and their procedures. I believe a lot of them prescribe unnecessary treatments, so I ask a lot of questions, do my own research and do not always agree with their diagnosis. I went into Hillcrest Family Dentistry for a replacement crown. I had zero pain or discomfort in the tooth but was told that the crown should be replaced due to receding gum lines and possible decay could get under the crown. After going against my own better judgement, I went ahead and agreed to the replacement since the crown was about 18 yrs. old. Not once was there any mention about possible further decay requiring potential root canal, nothing. It was a routine replacement crown. Had I been told any of these other concerns, I would never had agreed to replace the crown since it was giving me zero issues. Dr. Dimitrios removed my crown. Then refused to replace it with a permanent crown after he found "more decay". He put on a temporary crown and gave me a referral to an endodontist. I told him I was not comfortable with a root canal and needed him to replace my crown. If my tooth became a problem, I would seek further care at that time. He refused. Unfortunately, I had taken a pain reliever pill and was in no state to argue further. I believe he took advantage of my drugged state to not complete the treatment and sent me on my way. I guess he believed I would change my mind and get the root canal. I am not comfortable with root canals and was never going to agree to one. A month went by with the temporary crown and no word of follow up from this office. I finally called to ask when I would be able to come in for my permanent crown. I might add it had already fully been covered by my in

Dr V. Is the smartest, kindest man, he has fixed my husbands and my smile. It’s really a pleasure going there, he makes sure there is no pain!! His wife Debbie runs the front and is the sweetest lady. We actually like spending our $ there as we know what a deal we are getting. I couldn’t smile before. My teeth Dr V. Office management and reception area staff were very thoughtful and friendly. Ashley was fantastic with getting photos and X-rays completed. Jessica is a wonderful hygienist and had recommendations for all my questions and concerns. I'm looking forward to my future interactions with this awesome dental practice!

8/11/21 Brandy does excellent, thorough cleanings and investigates any concerns I bring up, no matter how minor. Dr. V explains well any treatment he recommends, and also explains when other minor treatments we considered would bring more risk than benefit at this time. Brandy and Dr V are both attentive, respectful, conscientious and kind. I always get excellent dental care here. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, skillful, caring and friendly. The office is meticulously taking all precautions for Covid-19.

Dr. Vareldzis and staff are very accommodating. They squeezed me in when I needed work done. They are highly professional, friendly and helpful. I drive 140 miles round trip just to go to their office. I highly recommend Hillcrest Dentistry!

Everyone from the front desk to the back room are just amazing!! It’s Hands down the best place if you are looking for a professional and friendly dentist. Doctor Vareldzis is a rock star! He really does great work! His support staff is just as deserving of the compliment! Not only am I impressed with how quickly they got me in and out of there today, but the quality of their dentistry is something to be recognized. Always a quick, comfortable visit and everyone there is so nice and accommodating. Best dental experience I've had hands down.

This was my first visit to the office. Unfortunately I did not meet Dimitrios Vareldris, although the Hillcrest Dental staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming! The entire experience was very enjoyable. My appointment was for a Zoom treatment, and my teeth lightened several shades. My husband claims he’s blinded by the brightness! 😂

Dr V. and his staff have taken such good care of my mouth! I was new to Hillcrest Family Dentistry, with very little hope for my poor jaw. I had heard Dr Vareldzis specialized in helping people like me, so I gave it a shot, throwing caution to the wind! I was miserable. I suffer from pretty severe TMJ as well as moderate bone loss in my left and right condyle. At my complimentary consultation, he suggested I explore the idea of using a MAGO device. It was the best thing to ever happen to my jaw and I could not be more thankful for him!!! If you've tried everything and suffer every day with jaw and neck pain like I did, PLEASE do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment to discuss a MAGO device. Its pain free and easy. I was a skeptic turned believer and all I can say is THANK YOU DR V.!! :)

You guys were great when I went and Brandy dealt with me for a teeth cleaning. The problem was I went in for a teeth cleaning and to have them shave a tooth down. Next thing I know the actual dentist comes in for less than a minute saying I need a mouth guard at night because I grind my teeth. This costs over 1,000$, and I know for a fact I don’t grind my teeth. Talked to some family members that also go to him and he told all of them they grinded their teeth and needed mouth guards as well. Didn’t even shave the tooth down and charged me over 600$. Then came in AGAIN just to shave the tooth and they tried charging me another 600$! Won’t ever go back.

You certainly want good people when it comes to your healthcare- and Dr. Vareldzis and his staff are the best! I truly look forward to my cleaning visits so I can catch up with Jessica, she is so fun (we're both sci-fi movie fans.) When it comes to the procedures; Dr. V is the best I've ever had. He is so conscientious and caring. He gives the best novocaine shots because he is so gentle, and because his equipment is so modern, sometimes I don't even need to get numb to get the work done- which is a special bonus on its own! They start early in the day, 7am I think, which great to get in early before work when I can. I doubt there's a better dentistry office in the Rogue Valley, so look no further- you can't go wrong with these great people.

World's best dentist ! You will not believe how great a crown experience can be.

As I sat literally terrified of a needle and irrationally sobbing, the Dr and his whole team were nothing but kind and supportive of my crazy self. I will literally never go to another dentist, anyone who puts up with that level of emotional is a great crew in my book.

As a new patient with an emergency, they were able to get me in right away. The entire experience was amazing, from the greeting by Debby to the staff and Dr. V. Very professional, kind and thorough. This office is top notch and they make sure they are covering all the bases. From the best in dental care to compassionate interactions. For a long time I looked for an affordable dentist who also was aware of the neurologic health issues associated with amalgam implants. Dr. Vareldzis is the professional I have been looking for! He has extensive experience with proper techniques of amalgam removal and understands why proper nutritional support is required for this procedure. I have referred my patients (as well as myself) to Dr. Vareldzis since he established himself in Medford; I regularly receive feedback about how wonderful he and his staff are.
