I can’t say enough how amazing Pioneer Dental Group is! My daughter (11) and I had the best dental experience there. I want to thank Angie, who helped coordinate our appointments and getting us in so quickly due to our dental needs. My daughter saw Dr. Allender and he was so patient and gentle with her knowing she has anxiety when it comes to any form of dental work. He made sure she was super comfortable and not in any pain. Along with the assistant Trisha who went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and constantly reassuring her that she was doing a good job. Mandy also came and checked in and helped with X-rays and making sure my daughter was ok. Everything was very well explained and it was followed with time to ask any questions I might have. At my appointment I saw Lauren (my hygienist) who was also amazing. She listened to my needs/concerns and made sure I was as comfortable as could be. She took the time to make sure all my questions were answered and explaining things so clearly. I saw Dr. Neeka, who was just as amazing. She was very thorough and also took time to explain everything and making sure all my questions were answered. All the office staff were great too! It was by far the best dental experience we’ve had in quite a long time. I highly recommend them as your dental provider!

Took my daughter in today and we had a great experience with Dr.Callan and the hygienist Carol. I love it when my kids are in great hands.

Dr Allender and Carol are absolutely amazing. I had contemplated going elsewhere and I'm so glad I didn't. The amount of detail and explanation provided by this dynamic duo was outstanding. Made my entire day better talking to them about my dental needs and expectations.

Dr Callan & Carol Super friendly, and excellent at there jobs! Explained all options for my care clearly, and did not pressure at all, go at your own pace. Very satisfied.

First the Good: The dental hygienist was super friendly and attentive to my needs. Being in the chair makes me uncomfortable and nervous and she did a fantastic job of making me feel comfortable. Now the bad: I came in with swelling and severe jaw pain. The dentist identified the issue and provided a treatment plan. Upon checking out and trying to schedule, I was told that there was nothing available for another 25 plus days. Then I was asked by Melissa, "Can you pay for the scheduled service in full? NO?!?, ok... then how much can you put down because we will not help you if you can't pay." She said it in a rude and judgey attitude. I never said I was expecting free work, just that I did not want to pay over $1200 at this moment as I had not expected so little to be covered by insurance. This was for a visit scheduled 25 days out, after all, so I expected I could be billed when I showed up for that appointment. She was super pushy and made me feel like I was at a used car dealership. The dentist also did not provide an antibiotic for my infection, nor did he provide any pain management direction. Because of the experience and the long wait time to be seen again, I decided to look around and found another dentist with much earlier availability. Being in great pain for almost another month was not something I wanted to endure. I have since called and asked for my medical records to be sent but was told Melissa would have to call me back. I have called 3 days in a row, still not return call. I am in pain and this dental office is incapable of something as simple as returning my phone call so I can be seen by another provider. This is not how patients should be treated. My new dentist is appalled that no antibiotics were prescribed and described this as "negligent!" and I happen to agree. Also the treatment plan was FAR more excessive than it needed to be. Feels like they are prescribing work that doesn't need to be done just to make the bill larg

Went in with a cavity that really started bugging me. They did X rays and didn't even use the vest to protect me, the "Dr" didn't even explain my x-ray to me just put some ice on my tooth, looked around and told me I need 2 root canals, and because of my dental anxiety/gagging issues. I would have to be put to sleep. $6000 for that.. I decided to get a second opinion. Come to find out all I needed was 2 small fills and to just have the back tooth removed $700 and he gave me a helicon to get me through the appointment. This place tried to give me a procedure I did NOT need at all. I the whole experience was extremely rushed and it made my fear for dental a lot worse. But gentle dental came to the rescue. Don't go here if you want an entire mouth full of root canals. Also paid $170 for them to do 3 x rays with 0 care and lie to me. Wish I could get that back

These people made all the difference in my visit. Dental can be so scary but kindness and laughter diffused all my fret. Thank you all for all you do for all of us!! And thank you for Genny! Always a kind word, contagious laugh and she really knows her stuff. Well done!

January 24, 2023 UPDATE Start off by saying I have insurance elsewhere and CHOOSE to be a cash patient here because: I had to get a crown😔 BUT- look how ADORABLE this porcelain crown is! They do teeth tattoos (inlays) As always EXCELLENT staff. A HUGE shout out to Kay for telling me about the membership program$$$, Dr. Allender, because he's a great dentist with a genuinely extra great personality and has saved three teeth in this gorgeous mouth of mine🤷🏻‍♀️AND Mandy, there isn't enough space here to say how grateful I am for her. Beyond amazing. 2022 update Above and beyond I can't say enough, there aren't enough thank you's to the staff. I went in for a root canal and am going back for my Crown in 2 weeks. My tooth was a challenge, they found more damage once inside the tooth, and went way over the scheduled time. The staff kept at it as though I was the 1st patient of the day and did everything in their power to make me feel comfortable. The doctor followed up with me twice at home to make sure that I was OK afterward. The office staff called ahead of time to put together a treatment plan, including the comfort aspects of the treatment. So very grateful for this office. 2021 Great Experience! Went in for annual checkup and cleaning. My first time at this office. Kay was welcoming and made the check-in process easy. The staff were prompt, professional and got me out of the appointment in a timely and efficient manner.

Great people! Everyone treated me with wonderful care! Carol, Dr.Neeka, Morriah,and Melissa were all spectacular! Would highly recommend!!

I originally went to Pioneer Dental after having unsatisfactory results from a different denture office in Wilsonville. I came to Pioneer dental to get a new lower partial made. After the new partial was completed I developed an infected tooth at no fault of theirs which led to the need for implants. Dr. Raleigh went above and beyond to make it possible for me to get implants both emotionally and financially. The entire office from the front desk to the financial staff to the dental crew and the doctors were always so very kind and understanding. They were also able to work around my work schedule which was awesome. One thing I have never before experienced from a dentist ever was an evening phone call. Dr. Allender called after each of my procedures to see how I was doing. The feeling that they cared about me was above and beyond the normal doctor patient relationship. They don't just do the job they do the job right. I can't put into words how grateful I am to the entire team at Pioneer Dental and the Revolution office for the results I have today. Very friendly staff and very polite. Carol was very easy to work with and Dr. Allender was very knowledgeable.

Found it off putting to be pushed pretty hard at my first appointment to write a review, and bribed with a Dutch Bros coffee card for doing so, which I declined. Very glad I held off until a few more appointments had happened, to get a better feel for things. Was told I needed a crown for a 'fractured' filling, and given no other options besides a crown (had same thing with prev dentist on a different tooth, who optioned crown, or removing and replacing filling.) When I asked about this, was told no, crown is the only way, and obvs, it's the more expensive of the two, $70 on prev tooth at different dentist, vs just shy of $600 for the crown here. But, they're the experts, right? So, I go ahead and speak to billing who checks my insurance, and I prepaid the full the amount for the service and was told on each following appointment I owed nothing more. Then a couple months go by, and I start getting bills. Called today to find out if they are legit, not an error, and was told that though I prepaid the full amount, "that it may have been true at the time I paid, it was the full amount, but "things must have changed" afterwards, and did I want to pay my bill?" Nope. And cancel my next appointment and don't contact me again. Bottom line...wonderful hygienists and assistants, doc was only seen briefly and spoke to me as if reading the legal disclaimers at the bottom of a car commercial, seemingly could not wait to get out of the room fast enough...and I've always thought of myself as a good patient, as I like going to the dentist. If you do give them a try....I advise you wait a bit on putting in your own review.
