Pitman Family Dentistry

I clean there at night. It's in the same building as the Chevron, upstairs on the north side. The restrooms are not public, and I've never been there during business hours; so, I don't know how busy they are. From my observations as a custodial professional, meseemeth they are very passionate people who take the art and science of dentistry very seriously, and yet still make it fun.

It can be difficult to find a dentist who combines the highest level of dental expertise with a true compassion for patients and their unique challenges. Since I became a patient at PFD, though, I've experienced the best professional care along with a sense of having a whole team dedicated to making me comfortable and knowledgable about every procedure I've needed. I've had many good dentists in my life, but none like this. But don't take my word for it. If you become a patient there, I'm sure you'll never want to leave. I know I never will.

Dr Sarah is amazing. She truly cares about saving teeth and doesn’t take advantage of you as a patient. She has magic hands and does a great job every single time. She is caring and patient. I am always nervous about going to the dentist but feel relived after visiting the Pitmans.

I have extreme dental phobia and I had such an amazing first visit I’m surprised to say I’m looking forward to getting my filling fixed (from my old dentist) at my next appointment! Dr. Sarah Pitman was so knowledgeable and gentle! The entire staff was kind and professional. I was impressed with their online forms and COVID protocols. Alyssa the hygienist was amazing and made me feel completely at ease. Cannot recommended this office enough!

These folks are simply great. They clearly care, they speak clearly of all likelihoods and possibilities, and they work WITH you for solutions. Plus, all of them are nice people. I repeat: these folks are simply great.

My dentist recently retired and I was thrust into the world of searching for a new provider. Luckily I hit gold with Pitman Family Dentistry. The dentists here are incredibly knowledgeable and (perhaps more important) are great at explaining your current status, options for moving forward, and likely results -- all without causing undue anxiety or pressure. Everyone I had contact with was friendly and professional, and the facilities themselves were exceptional. As the bonus on top, the work was done with extraordinary care and they were obviously very conscientious about causing as little pain/impact as possible. Five stars!

I had an unfortunate experience here. I'm currently in the process of getting work that was done by Dr. Ryan Pitman redone by another dentist. It turns out getting work fixed is more specialized and complicated than getting it done the first time. Better to get it done right in the first place. He did a crown about a year ago and left a gap between the crown and the tooth behind it and a large gob of cement underneath the gums. I went back to them several times with concerns about it and was repeatedly assured it was good crown. In my most recent check up, he insisted on making a bite change to my back molar, saying there was a high spot. I didn't really want it done and didn't understand the magnitude of the change he was going to make. It threw my whole bite out of alignment and my teeth can no longer close together comfortably. I was so upset by the bite change that I went to another dentist. She said my teeth are no longer touching in the spot where he adjusted my bite. She then noticed the crown and was shocked and said it had to be redone. That started me on the long process of trying to getting everything redone and fixed.

Great Family dental office! Kind, knowledgeable husband and wife team. I have high dental anxiety and they are so gentle with my check ups and cleanings. Love Jennifer their Hygienist! Great location with parking. Would highly recommend!

Great care and staff made getting checked in and out, insurance, scheduling so easy. Every staff interaction was above and beyond my expectations.

I've been with them for a few years now. Always great service and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I've not had any issues scheduling, I travel a lot for work and have had to re-schedule cleanings etc. They have always been able to accommodate me in a reasonable amount of time.

BEST dental experiences I've had - both doctors are great communicators - I know what's going to happen as they work on me, and there has been NO PAIN! Super gentle and knowledgable. If you've been putting off going to the dentist, these are the folks to see. Great office staff, too! They've turned my fear of the dentist around completely - thank you, Doctors Pitman and Staff! So grateful for your compassion and competence!

I feel very conflicted. While I was a patient, they were pretty good overall. However, their scheduling is utterly awful. I've now gone without a cleaning for a year because they can't get me in. When I had to miss a scheduled cleaning, the next closest opening was SIX months out. I wasn't even a new patient, I'd been going there a few years. I guess they care more about bringing in new patients than keeping the old ones because at that point in order to keep up my dental hygiene schedule I would've had to find a new dentist! So while I liked them as a dentist, I'm not sure I can really recommend new patients to them.

I highly recommend Pitman Family Dentistry. I chipped ~20% off of one of my front teeth. The folks at Pitman were very professional and thorough in their examination, then laid out my options and the associated risks and let me make my own choice. When I chose to "just live with" the chip, they were supportive and told me what to expect. I later decided to have the chip fixed. The pride they took in their work was matched only by their concern that I was satisfied with the results. I could not ask for a better experience.

My wife and I started going to Pitman Family Dentistry earlier this year and their service has been exemplary. The staff are friendly and helpful. They really communicate well with their patients. I have always felt comfortable and well cared for when I go there. If you need a dentist I highly recommend them.

After trying out two other dentists (one a factory, one a money-grabber) I have found a home for my smile! Husband and wife team, with several hygienists, all of which seem more than competent. Very professional office, but super friendly at the same time. They run on time, charge reasonable prices, and are easy to schedule with. Zero complaints!

The Pitmans and crew are amazing! We've been with them from (close to?) the beginning and have never had a bad experience. We love their treatment approach - leave things to run their course until action is needed. A welcome change to the standard (mindless) drill/fill/bill approach. We've recommended them to countless family, friends, and acquaintances and they've all reported high satisfaction. If you're looking for a dentist, or even if you're just less than thrilled with your current dentist, you should give the Pitmans a call!
