Great experience.. I usually have a ton of anxiety at the dentist but the staff was super nice and comforting. The dentist who removed my tooth was amazing. The numbing injections were on point and the extraction was perf. Hommie was also very comforting and straight to business. Honestly after my last visit I'd like to put 5 stars but I had a really frustrating time getting this appointment to happen because they had canceled on me twice already. Even so would recomend.

I arrived at Timber Dental for a routine cleaning. The insurance professional there told me my Providence Gold dental plan would fully cover this. After gum measurements, Timber Dental said they would not allow me to proceed with the routine cleaning, and that a two-day "deep cleaning" (periodontal scaling) was all they would perform. I said I would much prefer the standard cleaning, had no willingness to pay a meaningful amount out of pocket for either cleaning type, and was glad to simply leave with neither performed. In an act of fraudulent inducement, Timber Dental emphatically assured me that my "deep cleaning" would be "fully covered or have the vast majority covered" by my dental plan, because such cleanings are categorically "medically necessary." On this assurance, and only on this assurance, I proceeded. Timber Dental has invoiced me for $692.00 for the periodontal scaling; Providence is covering none of it (reasonably so, I now believe). -From my lawsuit.

This is the second Timber Dental location I have been too and it was wonderful! Everything was clean, welcoming, and had a homey feel. The staff is professional, friendly, funny, and overall just fantastic individuals. I would recommend to anyone!

Do your homework. When looking for a dentist in the Portland area there are good ones and there are those like Timbre dental. only interested in what they can make off of a patient rather than the patient being what's important. Very questionable business ethics they're clearly only interested in profits They are a horrible business with even worse business ethics!

The office gave me the "in network" estimate and I signed up for the implant placement. But then they replaced the doctor with the one who is OUT of network and my true cost went up more than 50% without warning while I was in the middle of the process. I will update the review if they find the solution

My daughter and I were patients of Timber Dental MLK for a year or so. Their office seemed a little busy but the care was fine. Recently, this branch added my ex husband to my account (we have been divorced for years - we never saw this dentist while we were married) and started sending my bills for his care as well as detailed information about what care he had received from Timber Dental Downtown. This same portal contained detailed information about my dental care - a clear violation of both his and my privacy. I called twice and eventually received a text message stating he had been removed from my account but no apology or explanation of how someone had been added to my account without my authorization or how they planned to ensure this did not happen again going forward. I work in healthcare and cannot imagine not having a system to verify a patient’s consent before adding someone to their account and sending them bills for that person’s care. I would recommend finding a different dental provider if you care about your privacy or financial security.

Location did my post-op after surgery. Went today and they have automated the process with iPads. They expect people to just stand there forever filling it out. The new system sends out a text message so it seems you are a first-time customer. Which again can be annoying and it wouldn't load properly for me hence why i had to use the iPad when i went. They don't have any record of me being there 6 months ago for post-op or 7 for surgery. I know new process are difficult and have its headaches but this was aggravating. I don't live downtown so it was a wasted trip. As I couldn't get my insurance card from the app.

I have had the best experience at this location with Dr. Burton. He placed a dental implant in September which has meant plenty of follow-up appointments, and I have felt so respected and cared for at each and every appointment *especially* when I have lots of questions or I'm feeling nervous. Dr. Burton's expert care feels very personal and genuine. I'm so glad I chose him over going elsewhere for an implant. Today's appointment was as great as always - big shout-out to the dental assistant Coco (I hope I'm getting her name right!) whose sense of humor made my day and who made an effort to switch up her method on the x-ray to make me feel just a little more comfortable, even though I didn't ask. Going to the dentist can easily feel stiff & uncomfortable & "just business" - you know what I mean? - but with the care team today I felt like I could relax and be myself and I actually had a GOOD time. Whoever reads these reviews, please pass along my thanks from me and Marsha the implant!

Unfortunately I've had the most unprofessional medical experiences with Timber Dental. My appointments with Dr. Darvishi were cancelled consistently for 7 weeks, which required me to take unnecessary days off work. They ask for patients to cancel at least 2 business days before, but I was cancelled on by them within 24 hours sometimes. The doctor only works TWO days a week, so having him cancel every single appointment didn't feel considerate to my time at all. It would've helped a ton to feel heard in my frustrations, but I was met with condescending replies from the office. I still had to pay them over a grand, and then my stitch came out the same day as the surgery- but I can't be seen for another week because the doctor's not in (and I guarantee my appointment will be cancelled). I would not recommend for surgical appointments.

I have extreme anxiety revolving dentists. I’ve had so many bad experiences I pretty much gave up hope and just expect to be in pain and terrified the whole time. But this place is different! The team never once made me feel silly or like I was bothering them for my requests and didn’t rush the visit. Sal especially, as well as the hygienist and dentist all put me at ease and walked me through everything that was happening and made the time fly by. I was calm and felt no pain. I am so relieved and so happy to have found a dentist’s chair I can feel relaxed in and get the work done I have been putting off for years. I am so happy. Highly recommend!!
