Center City Emergency Dentist

Most of the staff is excellent. As someone with severe anxiety and a fear of needles, going to the dentist is something I dread. I had an infected tooth and the pain was so severe I could barely tell what was happening around me. The non surgical side was very pleasant I had my jaw numbed and was told I would be able to see a surgeon in an hour. When I was filling out paperwork the pain returned so the surgical doctor came to give more. He was cold and down to business. The second shot of localized anastasia hit something hard in my mouth and my pain flaired. This sent me into a panic attack and the doctor just kept telling me to calm down. If you are familiar with panic attacks, that is one of the worst things to say, let alone repeat while walking away. He then left me for another hour while I finished paperwork and waited. I was sobbing this entire time. A lovely woman in the office was able to get me tissues but when the doctor returned he was dismissive and lacked any empathy he told me I needed to calm down. I said don't tell me to calm down, it's not helpful and he looked incredulous. He told me if I wasn't willing to cooperate I could leave. I was having a panic attack and in insane amounts of pain. I was not able to calm down especially not with a doctor who had such a horrible bedside manner. The entire time there he made me feel like I was interrupting his time. I understand that it is not ideal for a patient to be sobbing but he needs to learn how to work with people who are having very normal reactions to extreme pain. The environment in the office is already overstimulating. I do not need to work witha doctor who lacks empathy and gets upset when I say something he did makes me uncomfortable.

I came to support a friend she was in pain a great deal of pain not only that my best friend just lost her mom so to be honest it was hard to get her to understand anything but I was in the room she saw the doctor Cabrere AND his Assistant dee it’s embarrassing to hear you have to remove most of your teeth but which she clearly wasn’t going too until de explained to her the doctor is looking at your teeth long term no one wants to remove their teeth without options my best friend has A Pretty smile now because of CCED the information that she and I learned in that room was A-1 i have never had a experience like that ever from the beginning to the end was great

I made a last minute appointment at this place, when I had dental nerve pain and a broken tooth. I had arrived on a very busy day for a Saturday, the assistants took me in as soon as they could. Even though they was some miscommunication in regards for the treatment, between the assistants and dentist; very friendly service. Also want to give a compliment to an employee named Donietta (idk if I spelled her name correctly) she pulled me aside and made sure I fully understood what I needed done and I appreciate that due to the miscommunication.

Every one I encountered MADE sure I received the VERY best possible care. I highly recommend them.

I called and was able to make an appointment that day for a cap that came off. They moved super quickly and I was in and out. The employees themself were kind and helpful the whole time. It was my first time there and I’d definitely go back if I need anything else !

Front Desk reception was very ignorant upon check-in 😒 I left embarrassed and Disappointed 🙁

This place is shady. Insurance Fraud is at it’s worst. Ran from there! They come up with crazy prices and made up procedures. All procedures and prices is given after the work is done. You sign your receipt of payment than there are other payments, other sheets of payment you knew you didn’t sign but they tell you, you signed it, No one tells you the price or talk to you about the procedure before or after. All they say is hear is the cost when they bill you. Once you see the amount you been hoodwinked into believing what they say. I been lie to and Rob of my money. Need Help I Been Rob!

Failed to provide the treatment narrative to my insurance company (Cigna), so my claim for over $1300 is unable to be properly processed. Called to have them fax it over, but the person I spoke with sounded so disinterested who knows if they ever did or will. Avoid at all costs.

Really went out of their way to calm my anxiety and had one procedure done same day and now have a follow up appointment in a week for my next procedure.

The dentist who provided services was efficient and made sure I was at ease and not in any discomfort.

Came to Philly to watch the Super Bowl and celebrate the win with the great people in Philadelphia. During my visit, I broke my tooth while eating at a restaurant, so I had to fix it. CCED saw me the next day, and they were wonderful and so efficient. If you’re in Philly, and an emergency dental issue occurs don’t hesitate to reach out to CCED first!

This place is nothing but a gimmick trying to get your money I was referred to get an extraction by my dentist who’s booked up so I went here for them to try tell me I need a whole new mouth and disregarded my referral on top of that I was told my insurance would only cover 600 of 1900 dollars worth of unneeded work Update I’m currently headed to get everything you guys said I had to pay 1300 out of pocket for, for 74 bucks you guys are horrible 2/10

Everyone here had great bedside manner. The actual tooth extraction, infection cleaning and bone graft took about 5 minutes. I would recommend this place to anyone everywhere else had weeks long wait and they hustle to get everyone in that needs help.

TLDR: Friendly staff but long wait time and quick fixes that cause problems down the road. I've been to CCED three times: once to get a filling, and twice after that for cleanings. The staff has always been friendly, but the first time I went, there was computer trouble that didn't allow them to check me in for my appointment even though they could see my appointment in the computer. I ended up waiting over an hour to be seen. Another time I went, the dentist was AWOL and I ended up talking with the hygienist (who was wonderful) for half an hour after she cleaned my teeth while we waited for him. But the reason I'm giving one star is that my filling broke and fell out in less than a year. I went to a new dentist, and he said the decay from the cavity hadn't been completely cleared out before CCED put the filling in. So my tooth continued to decay under the filling and into my gums and I now have to get a crown. Will never be going back to CCED.

They professional, but services are a bit expensive, I also now have a credit card bill for my services and I had dental insurance. I also have employment..They never discussed payment plans and when it came down to that, I was left in the room a long time and the doc disappeared. For 2 teeth to be removed cost me over $1200 and since it's healed, seems like it was a rushed job. I'm a bit sad, but it's done. Hindsight, I should have prevented this. Please don't wait or it'll be either costly or your death. Thank you

Ohhh Lord , The team is amazing. Specially TEE AND Dr CARLOS . They go above and beyond. They are really good for emergency dentist.

I had an appointment at 11 am and have waited until 1.05 pm to see the doctor. The front desk staff is ignorant, unfriendly, and unreliable ( I had to call twice to make an appointment because the first time, they forgot to schedule it in the system). When I asked to see the manager, no one showed up to speak to me!!! I have been using CCED services for three years, but I WON’T COME BACK THERE ANYMORE. I would not recommend it to anyone who values their time and like quality services

Incredible! Everyone was absolutely wonderful. I called in with a very extensive emergency and they were able to have me seen only an hour later. Staff was so thoughtful, helpful, and had excellent bedside manner. The doctors took the time to explain every step. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to dental work due to some really horrible past experiences, but the staff immediately made me feel comfortable. They 100% earned my trust. All of my concerns were addressed, and they didn't let me walk out the door until I was feeling pain free and beautiful again. Will definitely be recommending CCED to everyone I know.
