I have been a patient here for close to two years and it has been the best dental experience I have ever had. I have seen Dr Swingdorf for testing for a sore tooth that I thought may need a root canal (it doesn’t woohoo!) and Dr Anderson is managing my Invisalign case. Dr Feiock and Dr Berdahl have seen my boys and spouse and they’ve always been gentle with my boys and kind to my spouse. I’m impressed with the things they offer in the office and am glad I can get my cleanings done there as well as my Invisalign and a crown I needed done. Every hygienist we have had has been amazing so far also! My kids look forward to their cleanings… not exactly my experience as a kid!!!

I had my handicapped daughter in yesterday. She saw Dr Anderson. He did a great job handling her and diagnosing the problem, but he didn’t follow through sending the prescription. So, now she’s been miserable for another day.

Dr Swingdorf and his staff were great! I am visiting from out of town and had a dental emergency. They were able to get me in right away and fix. I would consider flying to SD just to come back bc they were so good.

The Doctor & the whole staff where truly amazing. They all made me feel very comfortable. You all are very nice, professional, caring & empathetic. Thank you so much for everything you all do.

I am so grateful to the team at Sensational Smiles!! For years I've wanted to fix the fluorosis discoloration on my teeth and Dr. Anderson did such an incredible job. I can smile confidently now, for the first time since childhood! Everything about my experience here was better than I could have imagined. The friendly staff went out of their way to accommodate me. DJ, Christie, Claire, Dr. Anderson: you guys are wonderful! Dr. Anderson was not only willing, but excited to help me with any goals I had for improving my smile, and he took extra time to make sure I got the best results possible. He initially consulted with me via email + phone, which was super helpful and saved me from making multiple out-of-state trips to see them. He also obtained a brand new type of treatment for fixing my discoloration, which ended up being more cost-effective and less invasive than the treatment we had originally planned. Amazing. I only wish I lived closer so that my family and I could visit regularly!

I'm going to be a new patient and I am really impressed with how soon I was able to get in due to them always being booked up!! Kayla did an awesome job at accommodating my schedule so I'm grateful!!

When visiting from out of town, I needed to be seen for an achy tooth. I was referred by a relative and they were able to get me in. Staff was so great, I wish I could keep coming back!

Staff was rude. Everyone had a very egotistical attitude and was clear that money was the motivation rather than service or love for the profession. Crazy expensive and don't stand by their product. I went in with a busted front tooth. They set me up with a composite (cheaper) crown, which cracked very shortly (weeks) thereafter. I was rudely informed that "we only do one free fix on our work," so when the composite broke again, I knew I wouldn't be returning. It happened, and I went to a nearby competitor. The competition was helpful, friendly, and all around a team who care for their clients rather than solely their wallets. They removed the poorly done composite crown for a porcelain veneer (more expensive and better quality), and the total bill (not just out of pocket) was a fraction of what Sensational Smiles billed. Like less than half. So, if you're seeking rude people who want a quick dash and grab at your wallet without standing behind their work, then Sensational Smiles is the place for you! If you'd rather have a positive experience and not get gouged, try driving east a mile.

I had the unfortunate experience of being turned down treatment because I as a client did not "fit" their mission statement. As a travel nurse I was in California and had to have an emergency root canal and called from California as soon as I got the temp crown and gave them the tooth number. I explained that I unfortunately only had a week to get a permanent crown placed and had read that this office had the technology available to do so. I called back Monday morning to follow-up to see if Dr. Anderson was able to complete the task and was informed that I would get a return call back. Later in the day closer to 4pm when I had not received a call back I called again to see if this office could help. Whomever answered the phone transferred me to Kayla who was very pleasant and helpful; she said, "I don't see why we can't do this, Dr. Anderson is busy with another patient can you be here at 8:30am Wednesday morning? I responded yes. Prior to this, yes, I was frustrated because I am still having pain, and only have a limited time (which is not their fault) if they couldn't fit me in though, I would have moved my contract or called another dentist. This morning I get a call stating, "unfortunately we just don't have the time and our office isn't able to do the crown." I said, there seems to be something more and you're not telling me the full story...."well, yes, I was gone yesterday and conversations were had and you just don't fit in our mission statement; and I didn't have to tell you that either." So, this office is ok lying to people! Yes, I was frustrated and trying to figure out how to make this all work. It isn't easy on my end or theirs....but to call and lie to me and say that we don't have time and then when I call you out... "well actually...." not professional and unethical.

Dr. Swingdorf and his team are fantastic! I'll start by saying I have extreme anxiety about Dental work and as a result I have a mulitiude of procedures I need to go through. They have taken extra time and care to help me understand each step and have helped coordinate my whole process even through offices that aren't their own. They have gone out of their way to make sure that I am relaxed and comfortable with each step. The treatments have been painless and felt like they took extra time with me when I needed it. Even the front desk staff are fun and cordial and have made me feel important. I will be a lifelong patient. Always friendly and caring! Thank you guys for all that you do! 🙂

I havent seen Dr. Berdahl for 10 years, but my experiences with him changed my life. Due to a syndrome in my family, my teeth were weaker and smaller than normal. I saw Dr. Berdahl for years as a teenager to steadily correct the issues I faced. After getting braces to line everything up correctly, he crowned each of my teeth to both protect them and correct my bite. The procedure not only corrected the dental issue, but resolved my migraines and gave me a new sense of confidence. I no longer felt embarrassed to smile with my mouth open. I left the state after college, and have received compliments and appreciation for the work from every dentist I have seen since then. Each one has inquired who did the work, and told me its the best they have seen. Now 10 years later, I have a amazing wife and son, and a wonderful career. I'll take the majority of the credit for those things, haha, but I know that I wouldn't have had the confidence to put myself out there without the work of Dr. Berdahl and his team. Thank you

Changed dentists to this one after my dentist left practice abruptly and no one could tell me why or where. Dr. Swingdorf is AMAZING and I can see the same hygienist every visit which is something I wasn't getting at other office and something I feel is important to consistent oral care. Highly recommend!!

Always a good experience. I see Dr. Swingdorf. He's kind, humble, and interested in both his work and his patients. He's scrupulous, knowledgeable, upfront, honest, and trustworthy. He doesn't rush your encounter, and he explains options and everything well. I get the impression he cares about what's best for the patient rather than what will empty their wallet. His hygienists are great too--gentle, caring, personable, and skilled. I've seen Haley my last couple of visits, and she's awesome! She is highly skilled, patient, gentle, and caring. Plus, she's a great conversationalist, and I always enjoy hearing her stories! I couldn't recommend them more.

I had been longtime patient of Dr. Mark Berdahl when I moved out of state. Finding a replacement dentist and practice who provided comparable care was not possible. Upon moving back to the Midwest, it was a no-brainer that I would return to his practice. He and all of his staff at Sensational Smiles consistently exceed my expectations! They treat me with respect and listen seriously to my input. But at the same time are such fun! Sincerely you are my team forever and provided the smile that I was born to have!

The front office staff were prompt and friendly. I saw Kelly, Carisa and Doctor Anderson during my first two visits and each time they were all very informative on my pending procedures, and took every opportunity to assure my comfort. I would definitely recommend Sensational Smiles!

It's been a couple of years since I have been to Sensational Smiles. I still can't get over the chair side manner the hygenists had. Very rude and stuck up comments. I hope things have changed.

Dr. Swingdorf and the staff are amazing! Very friendly and professional, they all do a great job explaining exactly what will happen and what it will cost. Happy to have found such a great team in Sioux Falls!
