Nutting Comprehensive Dentistry

The best dentist I’ve ever had in 30 years of dental and orthodontics work. From the front desk reception that confirms appointments 48hrs in advance, to the kind dental hygienists and assistants, to Dr. Nutting herself - everyone at this office has exceptional customer service. I’ve been in twice in the last two weeks for a cleaning and a filling and have not been in the waiting room for more than three minutes across both appointments. Prior to my recent visits, I’ve seen Dr. Nutting for a variety of dental work; a complicated wisdom tooth extraction (she referred me to the BEST oral surgeon in Knoxville), a simpler tooth extraction, bonding work and seeking options for intense grinding and jaw pain with TMJ, in addition to cleanings and fillings. I’ve never been treated with such care and compassion as Dr. Nutting and her staff have to offer. She’s saved me so much time, anxiety, and money through her recommended alternatives for some of the more persistent issues with grinding. 11/10 recommend to any of my friends and family. Simply the best dentist and staff.

Receptionist is completely rude and unhelpful.

I was originally happy with the results and treatment i received at my 1st appt. Im non insured and even bought their Premium annual dental plan to continue to have upcoming work done. I had a general dentist that id seen for years but sought out Dr. Nutting with the hopes of having some cosmetic work done. After receiving my $ for that annual plan, the care they provided became poor. They did not return phone calls, they did not reply to requests for my records to be transferred after i chose not to go by Dr Nuttings treatment plan. She recommended that i have l all of my upper teeth pulled and let her make a full top denture plate. I did not think that that was my only option and preferred to have restoration work done. She refused to do anything other than her plan even though i was not comfortable with that. I then decided to get a 2nd opinion (totally within my patient rights) After consulting with an oral surgeon he also did not agree with her plans. he did not think that all the upper teeth needed pulled and said i only needed 2 extractions. After calling Nutting back and asking if they would be willing to do that, the answer was again No. I have been in the process of having the work done else where and during that time, i had a dental emergency with a tooth that Dr. Nutting worked on. Not only did they not return my call, but also refused to do anything to help with the emergency, reason being "because i went to another dentist". The "other dentist" was my GENERAL DENTIST that recommended i see a cosmetic dentist in the 1st place. . Although i have already paid for their annual discount plan that they now will not refund. My biggest complaints would be the lack of or refusal to communicate in a timely manner and refusal to provide care to me just because i chose not to have the work she recommended done and sought the advice of another provider. Dr. Nutting and team are the best. She always has great solutions to any problem of mine. The staff takes excellent care of my teeth and Dr. Nutting is always super conscious of pain or discomfort during any procedure, so I have not experienced either. I refuse to go anywhere else.

Dr. Nutting is great Dentist. I have used her for many years. Her staff is very nice as well.

Not only are the dental professionals at Nutting terrific at what they do, they are caring and compassionate. Highly recommend Dr. Talia Goldman and the entire staff. Lose your fear of the Dentist and go see them.

I couldn’t quit Nutting!

Dr. Nutting is very competent in what she does, but her front desk personnel need some lessons in empathy! I hope you have great insurance that will pay for unnecessary items because they like to charge you for things you don’t need, example an antibacterial rinse. Never have any other dentist I been to done this, it’s just not necessary. Plus just for a consult which they count as an office visit it will cost you $35.00 out of pocket, unless your insurance covers more than one. The three stars are for the Dr. Nutting and her dental hygienists. I give her front desk personnel a no star! I am now looking for a new dentist that won’t price gouge me. If you like to spend unnecessary money then go here, otherwise I would recommend looking around.

I love DR. Nutting and her team. They provide a wonderful environment to have work done to your teeth. They all make you feel extremely comfortable.

I went to several dentists in the area before trying Dr. Nutting. She was just the kind of dentist I was looking for, and I was exceptionally pleased with her, her staff, and her facilities. She is extremely competent and knowledgeable and skilled in addressing your issues, however, she will not try to sell you additional unneeded services. Also, my husband who had ALS received kind and compassionate care from Dr. Nutting and her staff. She will make every effort to go the extra mile. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Nutting and her staff are excellent! During my recent appointments I’ve had a crown, a chipped tooth fixed, and several great dental cleanings. All of her staff took the time to explain the procedures while keeping me informed and educated on maintaining a healthy smile! When I have an appointment with Dr. Nutting, I never have to wait long. They get me back when my appointment is scheduled. Everyone is so nice and professional and Dr. Nutting explains everything that she will be doing ahead of time so there are no surprises. Great dentist and staff!

After not going to the dentist for a long time. I finally found a dentist that I will continue to use for a long time. Dr. Nutting and her staff were very professional, honest and caring. They took the time to explain the procedures so that I understood everything that was going on. I highly recommend the practice to anyone looking for a dentist

She is a good dentist. Its not her quality work rather more customer service and communication. I was charged $25 to receive a quote on work and they are a bit slow.

I was looking for a dentist and I am glad I found Dr Nutting. She is a wonderful lady and her staff are always pleasant and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure I'm taken care of. I would recommend to anyone. David

Dr. Nutting is a fantastic dentist!! She is so knowledgable and continues to learn the newest methods of doing things. She is very friendly and welcoming, as are the entire staff. When I show up for my appointment, I never have a wait. They always get me back right away. I used to dread going to the dentist. Thanks to Dr. Nutting and her team, that is no longer an issue. I would definitely recommend going to this office for your dental care.

The service is definitely good and they seem to know what they're talking about. But I don't like the fact that I came in for a routine check up and had to pay a bill for $100. They just do things without telling you you're being charged for it and the insurance does not cover it. Then they told me my 2 fillings would be $400 (I took care of my fillings at another dentist for $60 with insurance). I wouldn't recommend them just because it seems like they try to bill you for everything and you can find the same quality dentist without being charged an arm and a leg.
