Just had my first appointment here at Center for Advanced Dentistry and I am already blown away. As soon as we walked in Angela made us feel welcome and she was so unbelievably kind. Crissy, their new patient coordinator, is incredible. She was so in depth and made us feel like we were the only other people in the building. To experience a dental office that is equally focused on functional wellness not just pretty teeth is an amazing experience. I went in super nervous and left already looking forward to my next appointment!

I had an amazing first experience at the Center for Advanced Dentistry. I felt prioritized, taken care of, and respected as a customer. For most people, the dentist is not their favorite place in the entire world, but they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and taken care of!

If you have dental anxiety, this is for you! In April of last year, I had to have a molar extracted (from a different dentist) and the experience was quite horrible. I had already developed some dental anxiety prior to this, but this particular visit sent it through the roof. I knew I needed a new dentist and I wanted to find a holistic one who would align with my values and refer out to other practices as little as possible. I found Dr. Forbes at Center for Advanced Dentistry and scheduled a consult knowing I would eventually need an implant to replace my missing tooth. Crissy, their patient coordinator, spent almost three hours with me that first day! She was incredibly kind, great at helping educate me about the root causes of the issues going on in my mouth, patient answering all my questions, and so encouraging when I shared with her how much I struggled with anxiety when getting dental work done. Her passion for helping others in this field radiates through her and quickly helps build an immediate trust. We discussed several different options to best fit my timeline, budget, fears/anxiety, etc. I chose to have two additional teeth extracted (both were root canals that I had wanted out for years) and have implants placed in the, what would be three missing areas. At first, I had decided I wanted to be fully put under with anesthesia because I was so nervous about the procedure. But as we got closer, I started to wonder if I could do it without since it was so expensive, and overall not the healthiest option either. Dr. Forbes and Crissy encouraged me that I could do the procedure with alternative calming methods that they offer and that if at any point I felt like I couldn’t handle it, we could stop. When you have dental anxiety and past horrible experiences with dental healthcare providers, when you get HERE at Center for Advanced Dentistry, you will be able to exhale. You will be able to look forward to your next visit. You will finally be understood. The team took the time to understand this patient as a person with real emotions and feelings so that they could tailor a treatment plan and approach that will RIGHT the path of oral health. From understanding diet and oral hygiene practices, offering suggestions and products to build oral health from the inside to recommendations for follow-up myo therapy to their own treatment during the visit, this is a full service office who understands the body inside and out and the goal is total health, not just getting through an appointment time and neglecting overall health advice for the patient to create TRUE health. so happy to have found a dentist that feels like home :) i was looking for a holistically minded practice, and CFAD checked all the boxes. our initial meeting with crissy was SO informative (and FUN) and we honestly can't wait to go back. the staff all treated us like family and we LOVE supporting other freedom minded folks in TN!

It has been several years since I have seen a dentist. I have been hesitant to make an appointment. After my initial consultation with Crissy (New Patient Coordinator), she put my fears/hesitations to rest. She is super knowledgeable, helpful and kind. This is exactly the type of practice that I need. She covered A LOT of information and educated me on several different things, in my consultation. I am actually looking forward to my cleaning and exam, later this month.

I was extremely hesitant to try yet another dentist. I needed to get another opinion for my own peace of mind though, so I gave CFAD a try. I had seen multiple friends post about them and from the look of their website and social media they looked like they aligned well with my holistic approach to health in general. Backstory: I have had a handful of dental emergencies as an adult, that always led to tooth removal. They were at traditional dentist offices that seemed to want the quick fix to everything. I believe my teeth probably could have been saved if I had known more about preventative oral health and the holistic mindset around teeth in general back then. Most dentists (at least the many that I have seen) do not educate you on full body functional health. They focus on service level in my opinion. I needed more than this. I was tired of not understanding. So I learned more about holistic options. I have a lot of anxiety seeing dentists because every visit for over a decade was always bad news. I need my bite corrected, a few implants, and some small fires to be put out. I don't need a celebrity smile like other doctors have pushed, and I very much like my smile how it is. What I need is better function of my overall health. I didn't want braces at 33 and the suggested gameplan from another doctor was many years of work. Going into CFAD today, I felt this huge weight and confusion over me. I was nervous and defeated, but I walked out empowered and confident! My consultation was more like having coffee with a friend. Crissy immediately helped my nerves dissipate with her personality and gentle demeanor. We talked for hours. The wealth of knowledge that was poured into me was exactly what I was searching for. She was very likeminded about health in general and made me feel safe to ask questions. I trust Dr. Forbes totally. He is very thorough in explaining my procedures and has a calm nature and put my dental anxiety to ease. I am extremely happy with the results.

The new owner of Center For Advanced Dentistry, Dr. Mckinnon Forbes has done several procedures on me when was practicing in North Carolina and I must say that Dr. Forbes has greatly exceeded my expectations. I still travel to Nashville to his new office to see him. After having dental procedures by a variety of dentists in the past, I found Dr. Forbes to be extremely knowledgeable, gentle and explained my options in a manner that was understandable while not being pushy. Dr. Forbes has a great demeanor and chairside manner and I am exceedingly happy with the results of his work.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Dr. white changed my husband's life, from a childhood tmj disorder, and went thru a list of dentists this year until July 2019, Dr white is the only dr. who took time in listening to our needs, we came for one thing, to get the tmj get resolved but dr. white made sure he gave my husband a holistic peace of mind, ever since dr. white I have not heard any complaints, my husband doesn't night grind if he does I can't hear it, he always had teeth issues, my husband has perfect smiles now, it changed my husband's outlook in life, he is more out going and sociable, it's like a new husband 😊. I was a patient of Dr. White's ever since he bought his current practice - until February, 2019. I felt like his prices were over the top but I didn't realize how over the top they were until a treatment plan was designed to correct my bite (which couldn't be seen by the average person OR MY NEW DENTIST). I paid $4800 for an orthotic that I wore for 8 months. All the while Dr. White told me how great my teeth were, how healthy they were and how beautiful they were. Suddenly, the price of the second phase of work was $49,000, which had never been mentioned. He wanted to grind down all of my beautiful, healthy teeth and crown each one of them, not to mention that his staff pressured me to make my decision in December - before the year end. Proceed with caution. After all these years, I believe that he preys on people such as myself who might need a little work and then takes the work to an entirely cosmetic level. Part II - July 10, 2019 While this is not the forum to send a rebuttal, I feel compelled to comment on Dr. White's response to my review where he expounded on respecting my privacy; however, he neglects to say he shared my PHI (Personal Health Information) with another patient, including showing my X-rays without my permission. Violating HIPAA can be viewed as a criminal violation with a minimum penalty of $25,000 and up to one year in jail. I chose not to bring legal action against Dr. White. Additionally, Dr. White states that I was given ALL details of my treatment plan prior to the work, which is not a truthful statement. Not only was the full scope of work not relayed, the total dollar amount for the full treatment plan was never disclosed ahead of the treatment beginning. I am certain if I had been advised that the cost would be $55,000+ in the beginning, I would have said "no thank you".

Seriously the best! Dr. White and his team do an outstanding job educating and caring for our dental needs. I saw Dawn last week and the experience couldn't have been better- from the blanket and neck pillow to the thorough cleaning and good conversation. Grateful!

Every day, throughout the whole day, I am constantly reminded of the best work Dr. White provides. I was so self-conscience about my smile. I did not even want to smile when I knew no one would see it. How I feel today about my smile is the difference between night and day. How I feel about Dr. White and his office? I feel like having my smile worked on changed my whole life. Still amazed.

There are dentist and then there’s Kent White and his team. His knowledge and skill far surpass anyone else. I have been blown away with the care they have given me. I had extensive work done. They not only did an incredible job, they made me feel comfortable during the process. I highly recommend Center For Advanced Dentistry!!!!

I went so unsure of what to expect Cannot tell you what a wonderful experience it has been beginning with the receptionist to Dawn and Dr. White. So professional and caring. Been going for a month and I’m so excited with the work so far. A great group. I highly recommend. Have a new smile and confidence that I haven’t had in years. 👍

Dr. White is an amazing dentist, and he has a dedicated and skilled team working with him. Having full mouth restoration, I have only good things to say. Dr. White is extremely skilled and genuinely cares for his patients. He listens and hears what his patients say all while applying his professional and knowledgeable expertise. He explains what he does, before and during the procedure. Dr. White and his staff are cutting edge always continuing their education in order to provide the best for their patients and the dental profession.

Whenever I am at Dr Whites office the entire staff makes me feel like I am the most important person on earth.
