I used to give this place 5 stars because they had great customer service and I do like the quality of the care that I received there. However, lately it has been extremely difficult to get a call back from the office within a timely manner. They keep blaming everything on the coronavirus, I get that part. However, because of the coronavirus, I need a lot more notice at my job in order to keep my appointments as well. I called their office seven times in a one month period and I got a call back once and unfortunately I just happened to be in the shower, the one time they did call me back. (See call log)By the time i did get to speak with someone, I didn't even receive any kind of an apology. And frankly, if it takes this long to get a call back and consultation, I am concerned that once I actually start having this extremely expensive work done, that if there are any problems, that it will get handled in this same unresponsive way. I can't take that chance. I need to feel like iam an important part of their business, not an inconvenience. Everybody's busy. everybody has too many customers.(which I am remedying that by going elsewhere)everybody this, everybody that, blah blah blah... I am so sick and tired of all these excuses. if I did my job like this I would have 0 customers. I will say that there are some staff members at dr. Rios office that do a pretty good job, but I have to have to be able to rely upon good communication with the rest of the staff in order to make it a mutually beneficial relationship with dr. Rios office.

Great Experience! Both my wife and I were down from Northern Minnesota and hadn't had any dental care since COVID. With my wife's systemic lupus we needed to have dental staff vaccinated - entire staff is vaccinated! Moreover, facilities were super clean, spacious, modern, and very welcoming. Furthermore, staff was friendly, helpful and outgoing - kudos to DDS Tara Rios! Veterans with Delta Dental, through FEDVIP, are covered.

Great service as usual!

My appointment was at 1:00 but I wasn't seen until 1:40 I think the Dental Hygienist was very fast, it only took him 15 minutes to clean my teeth.

Knowledgeable, professional, and efficient.

Excellent service from the employee staff to the professional staff. No waiting time. Questions, doubts, and concerns answered in a professional manner and friendly.

Waited for a hour. Appointment 320pm. 420pm is when they started Appointment .

Esta mañana fui a las nueve por primera vez porque mi seguro médico me la recomendó pero las secretaria de front después dos ni siquiera te saludan me dejaron sin contestar ni los buenos días. Ni siquiera preguntaron k necesitaba yokeria hacerme un dentadura completa pero a ellas no les interesa atender al paciente muy mal servicio 😡 buscaré otro dentista

Beware they charge a 4% if you pay with credit card. And suddenly they changed there prices the very next day when we went to get service! they gave us a print out of what we had to pay the day we went in as brand new customers. so I told them I would pay in cash the next day to avoid the 4% charge if I pay with my credit card that day .the very next day the price on the print out they gave me CHANGED!! also we asked if they took our insurance when we went in as brand new customers and they said yes and now it turns out they don't.

I had really bad irritation of my gums and I went in so they can help me out. I needed a specific type of cleaning and it happened to be the one my insurance doesn’t cover. I asked for a regular cleaning instead and they told me they couldn’t because “i’m going against medical advice.” My gums have been bleeding and are easily irritated, so i asked this dentist how can he help me or what does he suggest that I do for my gums, and the only thing he told me was “you need that specific type of cleaning” if you’re really seeking dental medical attention, i don’t recommend coming here. Find somewhere else, where they’re not trying to drain your money and where they actually care about their patients.

We have used this practice several times because it is so close to our home. Although the setting is beautiful, the work they have performed has left both me and my husband with problems and they have acted in an unprofessional way: bone spurs, missing obvious dental issues on X-rays, different practitioners within the office offering differing diagnosis, quoting different prices, saying they would offer treatment and then claiming that they can not help us...the list goes on.

i am happy with the dr. his bedside manner is great. he couldnt do the work on my tooth because it wouldnt go dead. i'm hard of hearing but i thought i was being refered to a dr. that could deaden the tooth and do the job. not so. the dr. in mc allen who i thought was a specialist wasnt. he was a referral for a second opinion. i didnt need a second opinion. he tapped my tooth and said he couldnt help me. took 5 minutes and $165. i am not happy!

My crown fell off so I need to see a dentist, preferably the one who put the crown on. I called yesterday and no one answered so I had to leave a voicemail. I still haven't heard back. I called today and someone answered but didn't say anything. I called back twice and got hung up on. I guess I'll seek help from someone else.

I had set up my First appointment more than 3 weeks ago scheduled time off from work for said appointment only to get a call the day before that my appointment time was given to another patient because I didn't confirm my appointment through text. I had never received a text and only received a call to be told my appointment had already been given to some one else and I needed to reschedule. Waste of my time and they had no courtesy what so ever. Take your business else where.

Where Can I start, was there for my routine check up and as soon as you walk in you feel a sincere welcoming from the staff, no wait time to be seen, everything was fully explained by the Dental assistant Ommar which by the way he did an amazing job, Dr Castell also explained in detail everything during my consultation, but the best part was during my teeth cleaning the hygienist Pree did a wonderful job , definitely going back fully recommend this place 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Horrible receptional work ... very inconvenient for a working mother of 2 to make it down to an appointment and have the receptionist not include you in the schedule when you've clearly made the appointment and even showed the email confirmation. Have been a patient for years love all the Dentist in the group.. but you'll have to clearly work on your clerical staff. Since they are the first image to your practice.

Horrible bed side manner from "the"Tara Rios. It's a shame because all her staff is excellent. It is horrible how she made me feel so insignificant due to the insurance I have, as if I couldn't afford treatment. I am shocked and horrified by her lack of respect and lack of professionalism. I had to ask for the treatment plan because if I hadn't, she would not have explained anything at all to me. She seems so nice in pictures and says the right things in video, but in person she is absolutely negative and arrogant. I am in disbelief. I had heard so many horrible things about her but never thought they'd be true. Please do yourself a favor and head to Dr.Osborn in Valley Dental. He knows how to explain treatment, tret patients beyond expectations and has great bed side manners. Please don't let people, simply because they have a medical background, to treat you like anything less than you deserve. These people..Doctors..need us for their practice. If they are not good and make you feel like you don't belong or ashamed of why you're seeing them, fire them. We are the patients and we call the shots when treated with such disrespect. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!

Check your insurance benefits and network status if you plan to go to this dental office. This dentist was in-network with our dental plan (I checked prior to going) and yet they were unaware of it. They checked my plan incorrectly and said they were out-of-network. I was blessed that our medical insurance covers some dental and they billed that. I was still charged over $70 for costs that are covered under our dental plan. Our dental insurance had to call them the next day to notify them they were in-network and that I should not have been billed anything. Even then the office manager, Rose, argued that they were not and told me she would look into it to verify. She called me back and was like ok we had to redo your file because it turns out we are in-network with your dental plan. I just asked her to refund me what was owed to me and that I would be going to another dentist. Although the staff is nice and the facility is clean, their lack of competence with billing/insurance benefits deterred me from continuing to go to their office. They could have avoided all this by checking my dental insurance benefits/network status correctly.

I love the service provided at Tara Rios Dental Group. Haidee and Jackie are very helpful and sweet during each visit. Definitely recommend this location to anyone needing dental services.
