Dr. Petrutsas is wonderful. I tend to get nervous before appointments but his calm demeanor puts me at ease. He is informative, diligent, trustworthy and patient! Equally important, he and his team are conscientious about my treatment needs, avoiding unnecessary billing add-ons so I can afford to prioritize my dental care. The hygienists are attentive and fun to talk to - I talk a lot! The front desk is always a pleasure and considerate with my scheduling needs.

Summary: They boost their bottom line through unnecessary treatments.
I usually do not like to write bad reviews for businesses, though my experience here requires otherwise. I am fairly religious about my teeth and oral hygiene (floss every night, etc.). I went in for a repair of a minorly chipped tooth and a routine cleaning. I received neither. Instead, the hygienist notified me that I had "unhealthy gums," showing me a video about periodontitis that was conveniently saved in the favorites bar. The "recommended" treatments ensued:
- Mouth wash for gingivitis treatment
- "Best of class" laser treatment for gum disease
- Teeth whitening because my "teeth were yellowing"
- A nightguard for grinding
- Fillings for "recesses" that were not yet cavities but later might be
- A Phillips water pick flosser for which I could receive a rebate
- Treatment and appointments every three months to monitor progress
MOST IMPORTANTLY: Sensing some funny business, I had the x-rays and photos sent to a second dentist from my hometown. They DID NOT agree with the treatment at all and recommended I go somewhere else. I then went to another dentist here in Dallas, and they too expressed serious doubt as to the propriety of the treatment.
I am not the only patient to experience this. Check out the other reviews.
Your wallet and teeth deserve better.

Dr. Hubbard has been my dentist for years, and his team is just the best. My main hygienist is Elena, who keeps my smile in tip-top shape. Everyone from the front desk to dental hygienists to dental assistants are super friendly with great bedside manners (they even text if needed to remind you of your appointments!). They can make their crowns and veneers in-house, so I was happy that those procedures do not require multiple visits. This is not cheap dental care, they are thorough, and they do it right.

I wish I read the reviews before. Scare tactics are absolutely real here. Adding on plans and services they have said are “time sensitive”. Even when I’ve said in my first visit I’m not doing that because I wasn’t expecting to pay for all of this right now. The dental hygienist proceeded to say “you don’t have a credit card you can use?” I wish I realized sooner but the scare tactics clearly works for them which is why they continue to use it. I found them on zocdoc hence why I didn’t see these google reviews. Being in a new city and choosing a dentist of my own for the first time plus this scare tactic, I honestly had no chance.

Astoundingly inept front office that is incapable of providing answers to general inquiries. I’m not sure they know how to bill insurance? In fact, most procedures they recommend are not covered by any plan. Zero communication with the patient regarding the time/procedure expectations. Inexperienced dental assistants who have no business working in something as delicate as the mouth. Hubbard brings a wave of tension when he walks in the room that increases with each sharp comment.
A very intense and unwelcoming series of appointments that made it clear this office cares more about billing patients than treating patients. I found a new dentist immediately.

Park Cities Family Dentistry was top-notch; it made me think of this quote I read years ago!
"Whatever you do, do it well. Do it so well that when people see you do it, they will want to come back and see you do it again, and they will want to bring others and show them how well you do what you do."- Walt Disney
They have a State of the Ark facility and gave me the
most professional healthcare experience I ever have had. Easy scheduling, great location, and lots of services offered.
Dr. P is fantastic, and Ola THE FLOSS BOSS was soo impressive at her job; I'd vote for her if she ran for President.
110% recommend Park Cities Family Dentistry.

If you’re considering giving this practice a try based on the positive reviews (like I did), please BEWARE.
My dental experience with Dr. Hubbard has been extremely disappointing and concerning. Came in for a crown replacement after my crown popped off. My exposed tooth was extremely sensitive. The dental assistant began working on my tooth until I requested localized anesthesia to help with pain management after experiencing excruciating pain that had me in tears. Dr. Hubbard then came into the room without acknowledging me and shamed me for needing anything stronger than laughing gas. He then proceeded to inject novocaine before the topical anesthetic had time to numb my gums, and upon seeing and hearing my discomfort, said to his assistant “are you sure about the laughing gas? she’s getting really worked up” (I had previously refused the $76 laughing gas as I have had it before and am not a fan). Instead of speaking TO me or addressing my needs directly, spoke about me to his assistant. Wildly unprofessional and rude.
Additionally, I was not informed about what was happening at any time during the procedure. The dental assistant was in the drivers seat of the whole procedure, with Dr. Hubbard passive aggressively instructing her from the sidelines. It felt very sketchy that the assistant was doing what seemed to me like the dentist’s job.
Bottom line, they 100% do not care about their patients here and it shows. You’re just a walking dollar sign to them.
After my experience here I am honestly shocked that there are so many great reviews. I would highly recommend choosing another practice despite the positive feedback from others. It was a horrid experience and I will not be back.

Edit:
I had a (very long and through) call with a rep from the dental practice, went over aspects of the process of insurance claim filing and processing that I don't care to know but were needed to understand what happened to my claim. I'm amending my review to 5-stars to reflect the work done by the hygienist and the time ultimately put today by the admins. The bad side on billing and insurance claims is unfortunately built into the system of receiving healthcare in the US (and as I learned today, not only it's not being simplified, it's getting more complicated). Part of me wishes they had better explained it when I called before, but it wouldn't have been possible without putting a lot of time into it, which I understand is unmanageable for them and would have made me very impatient.
====================================
First, the good thing. The cleaning was very through, and I believe effective. The hygienist took her time with both the Xrays and the cleaning and I believe did a very good job.
The not so good, they try to up sell on everything. They were very pushy for me to get a specialized and expensive mouthwash, which I ended up buying, and to get a laser treatment for extra cleaning, which I declined. They also tried to sign me up for botox treatment without explaining anything about the procedure after I mentioned I had headaches, which I also declined.
Now the terrible. They charge up front for procedures covered by insurance, like the cleaning, offering to reimburse after the insurance pays the claim. I thought it was reasonable so I agreed. But now it's been two months after the claim was paid by the insurance, according to the Explanation of Benefits and a customer service rep from the insurance company, but they keep insisting they don't know if the payment was made and that they can't reimburse until they're sure. After calling them several times to follow up over more than three weeks, it's evident they have no intention of reimbursing me, whi
