When they found out I was paying cash for cleaning and x rays up front they were not interested even stopping from answering my second call. The girl that answered the phone is the problem not sure if she was told to do this or not.

We LOVE Los Fresnos Family Dentistry! They have a very welcoming atmosphere for my family and me. We always have a positive experience when we go to either their Rio Hondo or Los Fresnos facilities! Dr.Voreis and her staff are wonderful and patient with my kids. They explain what needs to be done in steps and they'll also help you find financing. Dr.Voreis and her staff are very professional and courteous and so far my family and I don't have a single complete about this dental practice. 😁

Save your money and heed this review. For a little back story, my family and I always went to Dr. DeLeon in Harlingen up until he retired. We were very happy there and never had any complaints. Being that we are from Rio Hondo, we were very excited when Dr Voorhees decided to open up a local office for our Dentistry needs. Being that we like to support local business / small business, we decided to try them out. Down to the nitty-gritty. Not only does their staff come off as unprofessional and inconsiderate, they make many avoidable mistakes when dealing with their patients. One example, I'm supposed to go in on a scheduled morning appointment to have a check-up regarding a toothache. Not only was I in that office for about three and a half hours, I only saw Dr Voorhees for less than a minute. And I'm not trying to exaggerate when I say less than a minute, it was literally about 30 to 45 seconds of her consultation before she walked off to the next patient. Oh and her consultation was just pretty much her telling me what she was going to charge for a root canal versus what she would charge me for an extraction. Not to mention all the waiting before I even saw her, which could have been cut down had they not over booked and communicated properly to the patients. I was sitting in an x-ray room for about an hour, and had multiple X-Rays done, either because the machine wasn't working or the technician did not know what she was doing. Either way, you don't x-ray a patient 5+ times, you stop what you're doing get someone who knows what to do and get them to attend the patient. Another example, my son had an appointment a few fays ago. Not only did they make us drive to the Los Fresnos location (and inform us with short notice), when we arrived to set appointment, they claimed he didn't even have an appointment. Just moved from Virginia, we are a Military Family who have been in many states and to many dentist, with that said, we decided to give this practice a try. I was not impressed at all. The office is nice but the courtesy of the staff and dentist are not there. Most offices i have been to the dentist comes out and welcomes you to their practice not this one she is too busy. Second issue, they make you seem like just one more...you go in, you come out, nothing else. They have no chairs for the family members to sit and i can go on and on about little but importent issues i found very unsatisfactory about our experience.
