Dr Zavala and his staff are genuine, caring and interested. For me, this is best dentist and associates I have ever experienced. IF a dental visit can be top shelf, this IS. They have met every dental need I had. I trust their expertise, knowing that my needs are important to them also.

I’m in the process of having two dental implants performed. This was a follow up visit to take 3D Imaging to fabricate the two teeth or prothetics for the dental implants. Simple process and much cleaner than the old method of taking molds of your teeth. I was put at ease by Jasmine and feel confident with Dr. Lewcock’s work and methods. The facility is nice, modern and easily assessable from major roadways.

Tried to make an appointment, receptionist told me they were booked, and would talk to her supervisor about open timeslots which she clearly had no intentions of doing so. I have insurance, and are more than capable of paying, I wouldn't trust my mouth with people who couldn't be bothered to show you any interest.

My entire experience for the past 10 plus years with Old Settlers Dental has been great. They made me and my two son’s feel so comfortable every time.

My routine visit for teeth cleaning went well. My dental hygienist, Alyssa was a pleasant surprise. She did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. Over the years, I have had extensive dental work making my cleaning a little more difficult. Alyssa did an excellent iob cleaning all around several crowns and bridges. Her hands have a soft touch which resulted into a pain free visit. She also took the time to explain everything that she was doing which I really appreciated. I believe Alyssa has a bright future in dentistry and I would highly recommend her to anyone. THANK YOU ALYSSA for such great work!

Just tried to set up appointment as a new patient for a hurting tooth and they just hang up on me. Pretty unprofessional customer service. Conversation lasted maybe 10sec while I was giving my info.

Been going here for years. You don’t have to fear dentists. Dr Zavala is gentle and explains everything! The dental hygienist is great too! I drive 45 min and it’s worth it. Love it.

Dr. Zavala is hands-down the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Not only is he honest and conservative in his treatment recommendations but he’s great at educating patients. He also is super gentle and where I normally get very anxious when going to the dentist, overtime almost all of my anxiety has subsided because it just doesn’t hurt as much. After waiting years to get a crown on a tooth, literally the same day that he placed the crown my tooth feels better than it has in as long as I can remember. I can’t say enough good things about him as a dentist as well as all of his office staff. You’re in great hands at old settlers dental.

I had a cleaning there, and it was honestly one of the worst dental experiences I've ever had, despite their assurances that my insurance would pay for it. however, a month later, a $455 charge that the insurance doesn't pay arrives. I called the office and they essentially said I was lying when I said "their office said insurance will pay for it." I thought they were quite sneaky with payments and nasty with the overcharging. btw, cleaning costs $455. How much do they charge for a filling a "kidney"? Edit: The owner lies I asked about whether there was an out-of-pocket expense, and the front desk said that insurance will cover it, as it does in all dentist offices except this one. The staff said that they received extensive training in how to speak "legally"? who does that? but someone who wants to engage in shady business.

I just had two old fillings replaced after 25 yrs. Dr John Zavala and a wonderful Dental Assistant did the work with no pain, anxiety or fear. Not once did I have any pain or discomfort. Having this work done was the last thing on my list to do At Christmas time. I can’t say enough good things about my experience there after not having any dental work needed in past 20 years. His practice is a 5 Star rating. Old Settlers Dental in Round Rock, Texas. Try them; you’ll be glad you did!

This is the best Dentist office I’ve ever been to! I needed an emergency root canal done because the pain was very severe… I called them around 9am and they had me in by 11am. The dentist and staff were very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this place over any other.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Zavala’s for a very long time. I had an appt the other day and haven’t been in a long while. When I made the appt, I gave my insurance info (was told they take it) and expressed my concern w/ a crown and also needed an exam and cleaning. The girl also didn’t mention the crown issues in her notes so Dr Z didn’t know about it. I’m not very happy after the appt when I’m told they don’t take my insurance and I’m stuck w/ a $455 for my cleaning. My card doesn’t mention HMO. First of all, when I’ve made appts anywhere in the past from dental to medical they at least tell me if I’m in/out of network. They should of ran it prior to me coming in. Their answer is..I guess you’ll just have to get care credit. I’m already struggling right now financially and trying to keep my CC score up. I can’t be applying for care credit right now. I’m really turned off now from visiting this place other than that Dr. Zavala you’ve been great.

From the front office to the back, Old Settlers Dental is the place to go for excellent care and service. Having been in the dental field for almost 30 years, I was paranoid about finding someone in town to help me with a broken crown. Dr Lewcock and his team were wonderful and I would highly recommend the office. Very professional, clean, and it's obvious from the treatment you receive that they take pride in being a great office and keeping up with the latest technology. My best friend in California has been my regular dentist since 1996, so this change was hard, but Dr Lewcock and Ana made my exam and crown preparation visits very comfortable and super easy. My hygiene appointment was just as wonderful and easy. You can rest assured that you'll be getting excellent treatment from a highly skilled dentist and caring team at Old Settlers.

The staff are great, informative and help with various plans, financing and appointments. Dr. Lewcock is great and thorough on every visit, often answering questions and providing guidance when needed. I look forward to my cleanings and invisalign updates. Cant wait to do other smile related procedures :D

My husband had an appointment at old settlers dental Round rock dentist. when he came home, he said he had the worst experience he's ever had at a dentist office. He is most easy going non complaining person. He was treated so poorly. People are rude there. They just waste your time by photography. very bad service. Worst staff ever. Won't recommend for anyone.

Dr. Zavalas is great. Gentle. Talks you through every step. And ensures you are comfortable and pain free. Highly recommend him ! 😁
