Reason for low low rating is that last year I went for dental procedures and the estimate was $3600.00 but something happened and couldn't follow to the the procedures. Went this year and they gave me a new estimate for the same identical procedure but this time the estimate was $9400.00. I know prices increase but from $3600 to $9400 is a pretty hefty increase. Needless to say looking elsewhere

Hi last year I went to the dentist they refill my teeth an no pain at all wow awesome job.

The staff and doctors at family dentistry really set the bar and taking care of their patients, I mean be honest no one enjoys having their teeth worked on but I'm glad I chose family dentistry when I did needs work done on mine.

Friendly Dental hygienist. Friendly staff. Yay, No cavities. Definitely My New Dental place.

Had a root canal done. I was so scared but it was total opposite no pain also went back a week later had fillings done. I am so happy and pleased with all employees and the dentist awesome group

I had such a GREAT experience with Dr. Ahmad Rabata, that I felt I had to write a review to help someone else that might be looking for an AWESOME dentist. I needed a root canal and had initially gone to two different dentists before I found Dr. Rabata at Weslaco Family Dentistry. (Read last paragraph if you’re pressed for time) The first dentist I went to was not only extremely overpriced but also seemed to be unsure what he was doing. After the initial exam his exact words to me were “You might need a fill in or a root canal (examines my teeth for 5 seconds), yeah ummm…. I’m leaning more towards a root canal.” my response was “what do you mean you’re leaning more towards a root canal? Do I need one or not?” he replied “Ummm.. I’m 99% sure you do.” Those are not words I want to hear from a medical professional, who is talking about preforming a procedure that is going to cost me over $2,000 out of pocket. After going home and researching root canals, I decided against getting one because I read a few negative articles online about root canals. The articles stated that if the Dr. does not do it right, it might cause other medical problems. So the only alternative was getting my tooth pulled. I went to a different dentist for a 2nd opinion, he also told me that i needed a root canal. I told him that I would rather get my tooth pulled because of the negative things I had read online. He laughed and said “Okay, you’re paying for it, I’ll do what ever you want.” he made NO attempt to make me change my mind or advise me about the negative effects pulling my tooth might have in the long run. I scheduled my appointment for later that week. That night I was in so much pain I looked online and saw that Weslaco Family Dentistry took in walk in patients with dental emergencies. That morning I called the office and the staff was able to schedule me for that same afternoon. When Dr. Rabata saw me he actually took time to examine my tooth and explain that I needed a root

I had an awesome experience at Weslaco Family Dentistry. Dr. Rabata and his staff handled my situation , which frankly wasn't an easy one like pros..even though I was embarrased of my teeth, they made sure I felt at ease and offered me the proper options that would benefit me on the long run. I smile with great confidence now instead of hiding my teeth...thanks Dr. Rabata..God bless you and I hope you continue helping others like me that felt little hope in having a healthy pretty smile. 😀

I had an awesome experience. I went into this knowing I had a lot of fillings to be done and feeling very nervous about the pain and discomfort of the work I had to get done. Dr. Rabata and his team were very friendly , professional and thorough and I felt little to no pain . I highly recommend.

Been going since they first opened, but sadly the dentist that was there before isn't there anymore. Decided to come back with my family because I like that we can all go in at the same time. The front office staff and the dentist assistants are excellent, it's the new Dentist that's the problem. With dealing with adults he has no problem, but when it comes to children he specifically wants them to not cry, or show any emotion. If they do he will send them to the specialist in Harlingen. Four patients are going to have to take our business somewhere else.

I came here for a root canal while pregnant. I've never liked going to the dentist due to bad past experiences but the pain was so bad that I had to do something about it. The doctor and the staff were so amazing and considerate during the whole procedure. They took extra care to ensure that I would be pain free during the procedure. I had such a great experience that I decided to come back to get some fillings done (I even brought my husband along to get a cleaning and his filling done) and again, they did a great job. I really recommend this dentistry, especially if you are afraid of the dentist like I was! They'll definitely change your mind about dentists.

The doctor is extremely considerate and knowledgeable with his patients. He provides and explains information in a way that is easy for the patient to understand. Staff in the back are very friendly, and do a great job in making you feel at ease while at the dentist office. The biller is very nice and beyond competent with billing details and patient information. Receptionist is very nice, and pleasant with the patients. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this practice, specially for those that are nervous of dentists, I had a good experience.

Doctor and assistants were great but the girl at the front desk was completely incompetent. First of all she charges me up front for fillings and sealant, I trust that the charges are valid and pay the amount she places in front of me. As I start to leave she hands me a receipt for the procedure and that's it. I even asked if I needed a copy of the prescription or not, she says, 'no, I'll call it in for you at any pharmacy you want'. I'm thinking, that's great I'll just pick it up on the way home. I go to CVS and sure enough, she hadn't called in any prescription, my name wasn't even in their system and without a copy of the prescription I couldn't just ask for what I needed right then and there. I also found that I had been overcharged, wasn't a considerable sum by any stretch but not something that would've been overlooked if I was short on cash when paying for the procedure. She then tells me it would take a month for the refund!! I decided to not get a check and told them to keep the money. Needless to say, I will not be going back there again. Again, the doctor was great but I wouldn't risk any overcharging on bigger procedures. Something tells me this wasn't the first time this had happened...
