Dr. Shaw is a great and affordable dentist who does NOT take advantage of patients to earn a few extra bucks. He is one of those rare dentists that will only recommend cavity fillings when you actually need them. Once you find a dentist like this, I recommend holding onto them as long as possible. I live in Colorado and my new dentist there told me I had 4-5 cavities. This was a shock after not having any cavities for over 10 years. I decided to get a second opinion while I was in Utah and went in to see Dr. Shaw. I didn't say anything about the other dentist, but after evaluating me he said I didn't have any cavities. What a relief and he saved me a lot of money. My whole family visits Utah every summer and we always stop by Dr. Shaw's office for our checkups. Highly recommended.

Dr. Shaw and his staff are amazing. They always make me feel comfortable and are very friendly. Recently Dr. Shaw has started using Biomimetic Dentistry which replicates the strength, function and esthetics of the natural tooth. The filling he did on my tooth using this technique has been wonderful. There was less pain and discomfort after the procedure and no sensitivity. I would highly recommend Dr. Shaw

Dr. Shaw and his staff treat me like a queen even though I didn't have have to have crown ;) You read that right! I didn't have to have a crown after my root canal! How is this possible you ask? Well, Dr. Shaw is one of only a couple hundred dentist that has been trained and has experience doing Biomimetic fillings. Crowns crack, break and fail. When it happens, it HURTS! With a Biomimetic filling you keep as much of your healthy tooth as possible (which is stronger than anything a dentist can put in your mouth) and then it is filled with the Boimimetic filling so the tooth is stronger! If the Boimimetic filling for some reason is compromised, there is minimal pain and its just a quick patch to fix it! You can say good-bye to your crown too and still get first class treatment! My kids love Dr. Shaw and his assistants are so kind and gentle with them. We are so glad he is local and we don't have to travel far distances to get quality, friendly and affordable dental work. Thank you Dr. Shaw and Staff!!

My family has been going to Dr. Shaw for years and we couldn't be more pleased. Dr Shaw and his staff are always very friendly and helpful. Recently Dr. Shaw has begun using biomimetic dentistry. This is dentistry that mimics normal tooth structure and saves as much of the healthy tooth as possible. Using these techniques, he was able to fill one of my teeth that would have otherwise needed a crown or possibly even a root canal. The filling is amazing! There was less pain and soreness than a normal filling and no sensitivity. The filling feels and looks great. I appreciate Dr. Shaw's willingness to do his research and make sure he's giving his patients the best treatment possible.

So, I live in China and really needed some reliable same-day work. Gary was amazing and despite the inconvenient time and scheduling was able to help me fix a tooth that had been bothering me for some time. I thought for sure I would need a crown and that it would be an expensive two-visit process - he did this thing called a biomimetic filling and I didn't need a crown. Basically, he "mimicked" the natural biology of the tooth without drilling it to a nub like was done with other crowns I'd gotten. It was really cool and I was able to enjoy a good American cheeseburger that same day! Thanks Gary and please thank that wonderful assistant of yours, as well! You guys were lifesavers! :-)
