The Dentist - Dr. James L. Johnson

Very pleased with this dentist! He is kind and listens to what you want. Staff is awesome! Prices are fair, and I like that there isn't alot of fluff (thereby driving up the prices)

I came here over 2 months ago to have fillings done and I still can't/don't chew on that side of my mouth because they are too high, or something. (There is pain) I refuse to go back in to him to have them fixed, again. I honestly think hes a real nice guy but maybe not the best at getting things done accurately. I think it says enough that im going to a different dentist soon to get my wisdom teeth out and have my fillings checked. Also. The office itself is not very sanitary looking or smelling. It's an okay spot to go if you need quick work without breaking the bank. Quality isn't something I associate with this dentist though.

Smells like a barn house, dirty outdated equipment. Animal hair all over the chairs. Smelled like cigarette smoke. The guy is old, no longer in his prime. Was not very thorough. Do not go here.

Well my first and second experiences were wonderful, but I fell on hard times and HAD to file bankruptcy. Now I NEED my teeth fixed and refitted and because this dentist lost a measley 800 dollars during my bankruptcy they REFUSE service to me...even though I have offered to pay CASH up front!!! Shame on this office and their discriminatory practices!!! I also have sent MANY patients to them who have had extensive work done. LITERALLY tens of thousands of dollars he has made off MY word of mouth!!! Now I wouldn't refer this office, its receptionist or Gregg for dog catcher. I hope for their sake they are NEVER treated the way they have treated me!!! No good deed goes unpunished. Ridiculous that they are more concerned about 800 dollars than another humans quality of life. I am APALLED!!!

This is by far the best dentist. His bedside manner is on point and his prices are amazing.

Dr. Johnson and his staff are very kind and helpful. They made me feel safe and welcome, I had a very plesant experience in His office. He's gentel "considering he ripped open my gums to extract a tooth" (Which is the nature of what HAD to be done) and caring in his demeanor and was helpful in answering any questions I had. Thank you very much, I will most definitely be recommending and returning for all my dental needs. P.S. I apologize for the late review, I visited his office on 03/15/2021.

Horrible customer service, my mom had a tooth break on her dentures after only having them for less than year. The man at the front desk just kept telling her “you broke it, I didn’t “. He should be fired.

Very charming and funny. I went in for dental work while uninsured. I was able to get what I needed without breaking my bank. I would recommend to anyone needing dental work done.

I have been a patient of Dr Johnson since I was probably 4 I am 26 now and there is still no one I would rather go to than him. I will continue to be a patient until he decides to retire hopefully long into the future.

Absolutely amazing. A few years ago, I had another dental office really screw up my mouth, resulting in two emergency root canals. Both times, Dr. Johnson was able to get me in immediately & his prices were extremely low (I paid something like $400 for my second root canal, as at the time I didn't have insurance). I highly recommend & tbh, he's the only dentist I'll go to.

Wonderful dentist! Great staff, reasonable cost. Small office but great service.

I love this guy he saved my life o was in the worst pain I have ever been in one place wanted 700 to do what he did for 300 the lady at the desk was really nice it was just great I fill like a new man now definitely will be going back to him for the other work I need do I recommend going here to others they have great prices and are straight forward no up sells and all that just get the job done you can tell they care more for the patient then getting there next Benz! I have been to now 3 dentists one whom I thought was as decent as his father whom passed a few years back (Rest in peace), the son took over the well established business with having my full trust. I paid cash for everything I had done and I'm not talking a filling I'm talking thousands of dollars for every single tooth needing to be re-repaired, root canal or an extraction performed. Next dentist I'm simply going to say the plan provided wasn't even accurate I found out today again many errors made. Now getting to this amazing dentist I was recommended to I wish I would have known about him years ago. He is professional as we all expect but down to earth made me laugh even as I cried during my inability to control my emotions knowing what those people did by damaging trust issues I suffer from. I value honesty more than most people with what I've dealt with. I do not feel in any way taken advantage of in fact I feel safe. I haven't smiled, smiled in awhile and I'm so ready to smile as I once did. I have to share this because he is honest and funny... My first visit I asked "You don't have an assistant??" Dr. James Johnson replied "NO, I don't have the patients or time to hear about their weekends!" Lol I laughed because I see all these memes for *example attached* and he's an older gentleman making his own in my eyes lol haha (That's my daughter in me) ***HONEST, WORKS HARD, DEFIANTLY NO TIME FOR DISRUPTIONS BUT LISTENS AND IS POLITE***

Dr johJohn is the most amazing dentist I've ever been too. He knows how to numb you without hurting you like most all dentists due. He's been my dentist for alot of years . He pulls teeth like a champ and does dentures wonderful. I recommend everyone going to him . I come clear from Roy to see him in West Jordan. So tell your friends and family...😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Best darn dentist that doesn't charge arm and leg. I would give him more stars if their where more. Great Dentist. I had to have 2 teeth pulled, today. Cost was not large amount and I don't have insurance. He is a great dentist.

It's not Dr. Johnson that's the problem, but it's the other guy Greg, he started scolding me right when I walked into the office, first it was because I had put adhesive on my dentures, then it was because I didn't notice there was a crack, and also he asked if I grind my teeth, then I got a call that I had to answer and he got upset that I answered it. He dosen't know how to talk to people without belittling them. Very unprofessional.

Many dentists are shady. They over diagnose. They charge a lot. They are not honest. Dr. James is different! He is transparent with his costs. He works with you on a dental plan by giving you options. He is also super nice. I drive a long way to his office and it is totally worth it.

Dr. Johnson is an amazing dentist, and person. He kept my focus on his funny personality. Literally had me laughing several times. And it was much less expensive than expected without insurance. Simply put I've found my new dentist.

I had recently been under the care of a dentist who told me I needed 2 implants and 3 crowns to replace 1 crown that had come off and the teeth adjacent to the one where the crown was missing and it would be somewhere around 8 to 10 thousand. Dr Johnson did the work he considered necessary for less than 1/4 of that. The work as far as I can tell is perfect. Thank you Dr. Johnson!

I have tried to get a refund for the money I have over paid for over a year now, I guess I will have to file legal action.
