This place used to be great. We recommended them to everyone. In the last year, they’ve either become too busy or are just losing customer service skills. Now it’s all frills and no real medical care specific to the patient. I requested a standard cleaning (instead of deep because deep clean isn’t allowed while in third trimester of pregnancy) and they wouldn’t perform a standard cleaning! They advised me to come back for deep clean after I wasn’t pregnant which would be in three months! So instead of getting a standard clean as I requested I now have to wait six months for a cleaning?!? I have moved to another provider since this isn’t care that’s responsive to the patient. It’s all about the $$$.

State of the art facility. Very clean with nice amenities. Everyone was nice. I received a gift and the person who referred me will receive a thank you gift as well. If it is your first time going and you will need X-rays, you should prepare for a longer than normal cleaning and X-ray visit.

I don’t even know where to start. However, my visit was very pleasant and I’m terrified of the dentist but they treated me so nice that I didn’t even care any longer. It started with Kendall, she’s a sweetheart and she did an awesome job! Made me feel very informed and gave me great recommendations on dental care. Followed her was Mrs. Chrissy, super sweet and definitely took care of me with the mild cleaning she did for me. We shared a few laughs, it was great! Then came the De who welcomed me with joy as well. She promised me that we were gonna be best of buds because she was gonna be taking care of me lol. To sum it up, they have a wonderful staff there! I have been a patient of this office for over a decade before it was bought out by River Run. My last 6 month appointment they told me they could not fit me in until nearly a month after my desired window (I'm a school teacher and have two weeks in December I can fit in any time or day). They told me they had NOTHING for me until mid January. I get two days prior and they cancelled my appointment due to an 'emergency with my provider' - as if they don't have two major locations with dozens of hygienists who can do a routine cleaning. I don't even know the name of my hygienists because every time I go in for the past two years it's a different person. This office does not value relationships and is just overbooking tons of patients to maximize profit. I am done and will be finding a better office that can uphold commitments to loyal patients.

I liked River Run Dental initially, but after being a client for several years now, I’m really not impressed. All the nice amenities stop appearing once you’re a repeat patient it seems - I haven’t been given a “menu” for a year+ and there’s all these review mentioning massage chairs and I certainly have never had one. All of that doesn’t really matter overall though, it’s negative experiences that have made me hesitant to continue receiving care here. I’ve had a crown where the bite was off so significantly it ended up causing significant damage to another tooth. I had to bring this up twice in office before anyone addressed it and by then it became a $2000 problem. I’ve brought up other issues in appointments as well that are just ignored, or forgotten. They certainly don’t ever forget to push Invisalign on me though, no matter how many times I say I can’t afford it (I can barely afford their normal bills!). A major reason I began using this office in the first place is that I appreciated online booking - I have severe dental anxiety, even just calling the dentist I’ll panic and forget basic info, which is just embarrassing, so online booking is ideal. Now that isn’t available and I’ve been waiting months for someone to respond to my several emails requesting an appointment to get temporary work finished. I know it’s busy at the end of the year, but my first message was the beginning of November and it’s now January. Despite all of that, most of the dentists I’ve seen have been very good during the actual treatment and seem to actually care about making the experience as not-awful as possible. That makes up for a LOT of other negatives, but I don’t know for how long.

I had to change my review from 5 stars to 3. First, when I first started coming here things were going fine, & I even referred a friend. They had a special where you would get a $20.00 or $25.00 gift card for each referral of a new established patient and I never received it even after speaking with several people about it on several different occasions. They acted as if the issue was resolved, and I’ll receive my gift card in the mail & I’ve never seen it or received it! At that point I was wondering why they couldn’t just hand one to me in person. Anyway, since then they gave me scammer/liar vibes - anything for them to get more clientele to increase THEIR pockets. Secondly, things progressively got worse. They were never consistent with offering me something from the spa menu (with a full visit), and they are super rude and pushy with billing. They want you on auto payments instead of giving you an option of receiving an invoice. Unfortunately, it doesn’t stop there. Once you have set up a payment plan, & follow it they still harass you to the tenth degree and mail you nasty, threatening letters. Nothing makes my blood boil more! The only thing that saved them from a solid two star is my Invisalign treatment was nice, and my teeth look amazing. However, I would not recommend them for a 6 months cleaning or even Invisalign treatments given my experience here with the lies, billing issues and lack of knowing what insurance should be coving for services, and overall inconsistencies and disappointments.
