Cave Spring Family Dental

My young child went here for his second dental appointment. The first time he went was great, everyone was super nice. This time not so much. The dentist herself was nice, but the dental hygienist was not. She was very impatient with my child. She snapped at him a few times during the appointment. With this being his second time ever at the dentist I hoped for some more patience on their part. This place may be good for adults, but my child will be going somewhere else from now on.

We traveled 6 hours every few months for Dr. Lubeck to work with our son. We were told by our local dentists in VA Beach that we would have to put our son through expensive and risky general anesthesia to have his teeth worked on because of his severe phobia of dentists and horrible cavities. He had lost two teeth to decay already. We tried over 7 dentists. He had panic attacks, and once a mental breakdown in the dental chair and developed a severe facial tic that lasted over two years. My husband and I sat there with the medical permission forms looking at the possible side effects and complications, one of which was death, and we felt there must be a better way. Dr. Lubeck was that way. He was willing to meet with us outside the office to discuss our son's case. He met our son and spoke to him very lovingly. Then when we saw him in office, my son trusted him. Lubeck was so kind, so caring, and careful. He never pushed our son too far, and always showed him respect. It wasn't overnight, but Dr. Lubeck was patient and gradually gained our son's trust. He bore with our son through all the ups and downs. Now, three years later, my son says he wants to be a dentist like Dr. Lubeck when he grows up. His cavities are filled, his teeth are normal, and he no longer has panic attacks in the dental chair. His last cavity was filled with no tears, which was a miracle. Dr. Lubeck is a miracle worker.

I’ve called, no answer. I’ve texted per their request, no answer. I’ve requested an appointment online, no answer. Not sure what else to try. Update: technical difficulties were resolved and hopefully their online portal will be available for use soon. Response was efficient and thoughtful and I’m updating my review to reflect their efforts to resolve my concerns.

Dr. Lubeck is a stellar dentist that is skilled and cares. I very much appreciate the time and effort him and Jessica have put into my care. This is an excellent dental office and you won’t regret seeing anyone here.

Dr. Lubeck and his dental assistant are great, sorry i can't remember her name. He takes very good care of his patients and actually cares! I would highly recommend dr. Lubeck

Hands down the best dental experience I've ever had. Dr. Laing and her staff are extremely friendly and foster a relaxed, no judgement environment. As someone who suffers from dental anxiety, it really speaks volumes that I'm looking forward to my next visit! My family and I have been patients of Dr. Lubeck for several years now. Before becoming his patient I had some unpleasant dental experiences which led to some anxiety. Dr. Lubeck has always been very kind and mindful of this and made sure that I am comfortable and as pain free as possible. He, his dental assistant, Jessica, and the front office staff recently went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed and quickly. All of the staff here are very friendly and professional. Initial visit with Dr Laing based on recommendations from two of my friends who are also clients. Paperwork process went smoothly. Front office staff very friendly and capable. Dental assistant did a fantastic job of taking x rays and prepping. Following a thorough oral exam Dr Laing spent a great deal of time describing to me and educating me about my dental issues, treatment options and prognosis. If you have any anxiety about dental procedures, Dr Laing will address those concerns and set your mind at ease Examination room has a large window view to outside with bird feeders and squirrels going about their business .. makes for a very relaxing distraction! Positive experience with both regular cleaning and a couple cavities getting filled today. I hate needles and have been known to faint in the past, didn’t even feel a thing. Much appreciated.

I have had a long history of feeling fearful to go to the dentist. I no longer have that fear. Dr. Lubeck is amazing!! He is patient. He is kind. He is helpful. He answers every question that I have and never makes me feel like he is too busy. My daughter had 2 fillings recently. She left the office smiling and was completely unfazed! Dr. Lubeck talked her through step by step in terms that my 6 year old could understand. His entire focus was on her. He treats me the same way when I am in the chair—he is completely focused on my needs. I never leave his office feeling shaken up. Ever. He is gentle. I do not have continued pain after my visit. Absolutely. Hands down. Choose Dr. Lubeck to be your dentist!

I am not fond of dentist,, but going to Dr Lubeck is so pleasant and his whole staff is so friendly and caring. They put you at ease when you walk in the door. I live in Salem, but so worth the distance to go find a Dentist that is so caring.

I was a very nervous person when it came to dentists, but Dr. Roach changed that! My visit was pleasant from beginning to end. The staff is excellent! They made us feel valued as people. Dr. Roach took care of my emergency painlessly and quickly. I started out tense and ended up relaxed in his chair. His personality is very humble and kind. You can’t go wrong choosing this dental office. They are top tier!

Dr. Lubeck is amazing. He cares about you and makes sure that you are comfortable and that you understand what is happening inside your mouth. He loves music, any kind of music from bluegrass to any kind of rock. It is fun to talk with him while you are in the chair. Our family loves him and we would recommend him to anyone!

I absolutely love going to this dentist office. There is always amazing service, everybody knows what they’re doing and are super friendly at the same time. Especially Dr. Lubeck, he’s a quality person and dentist, and will always make you smile.

The staff are friendly and welcoming and great with kids. Dr. Lubeck is professional and helps you feel at ease, delightful and conversational. We have been with them for years now and are not going anywhere anytime soon!

You won't find a better Dentist anywhere. ESPECIALLY for kids...Dr. Lubeck is top notch! Dental Assistants are super nice...front desk peeps are professional. They even called my insurance before the visit so I had zero surprises!

I had a wisdom tooth and moler extracted, dr Gary roach was very professional and did the routine without a hitch. Very pleasant atmosphere and very professional staff. Top notch service and very straight forward and pleasant experience thank dr roach and all the staff I am very well pleased

Hands down the most incredible dentist on the face of the planet. My entire family sees him and we all feel the same way. If there was a way to give a rating higher than five stars I most certainly would. I will extend this rating to his entire staff. They are not just professional they are personal. The dental hygienist have got to be the best in the business. If I'm not mistaken the entire staff has been working there for a long time. That professionalism and Personal Touch has made me a fan of the entire experience. Which speaks volumes when I make those comments about a dentist office. I have never had positive experiences in the past and was more than a little hesitant when I first started seeing Dr Lubeck a couple years ago. Let me state again, this is the best staff and dentist quite probably in the entire United States. If you have a dentist and they are good I dare you to try Dr Lubeck. I would be willing to bet even money that you're going to drive back to your old dentist and slap the taste out of their mouth. Yes they are that good.!
