Affordable Family Dentistry

This a wonderful dentist office. I was able to make an appointment for both my daughter and I. We were done quick and I have anxiety about being at the dentist. He was professional and explained everything to me about treatment options for both my daughter and I.

I have extensive trauma caused by multiple dentists and orthodontists, so I was extremely anxious going into this appointment (my first in at least a decade) and had barely been able to sleep due to nightmares. By the time I left the dental office, I had a great weight lifted off my shoulders. The only negatives about the experience come down to the nation's unwillingness to provide the same or greater accessibility of medical care for its citizens as countries it points to as inferior. Don't listen to reviewers who blame costs on the office staff or doctors. Medicaid and insurance companies determine what we pay.

No complaints! Quick and thorough care when I needed it!

I found this dentist via Google; they were able to provide an appointment the next day. He thoroughly informed me of my teth, gums, surrounding bone, and what options I have to help correct my oral health. This was the most straight forward information I have received from any dentist. Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover 75% of what is advised/needed. ALL dental work is expensive (for a lot of people) no matter where you go. I do plan to return to Dr. Cheng (I believe) in the future.

This dentist and Dr. C. is absolutely amazing! He was beyond professional and respectful! My son had concern and some anxiety from a past dentist experience and Dr. C made all that go away! The explanations and detail of our teeth health and the procedure for the cleaning was explained completely and beyond expectations! Kind, respectful and professional! It's my first time visiting a dentist with my son super cooperative even he was handling everything alone, detailed checkup with follow-ups.

I have lived in this area for a very long time and I have seen this dentist office a million times never once thought about going. The dentist I was using before would no longer take my son's insurance so I had to pay out of pocket and the dentist is not cheap. So I set out to find a dentist that took my son's insurance and my insurance. This brought me to Affordable family dentist in Thrasher's corner. After contacting the dentist I was sent a link to fill out all of my information, this did take some time but it was well worth it. When I walked in there for our appointments it was just the dentist in the office. He had gone through our papers and new art history and all of our Dental history as . He was very kind explain what was going to happen today for our first appointment took Jack in first then send Jack out when he was done and I went for my appointment. He did find a few concerning things decided to do the larger X-ray camera which led to finding out things that I had going on that I didn't know. The doctor was very thorough in explaining the procedure the cost and things that can help me afford dentistry along the way. He was very straightforward when it came to braces for my son he agrees that he is not ready for braces where the other dentist wanted to put him in right away. I felt they have very fair prices especially for a single mom and her 14 -year -old son. I'm happy that affordable family Dentistry is now part of my family. I would recommend this Dentistry to anyone I have already referred my Mom

I was see by doctor Chain, had a very great experience. I’ve had childhood trauma, regarding dentist. Dr Chain had me feel me comfortable and reassuring. I was well informed about my procedure. I had a 3hr oral operation and everything went well, here I am day after, writing this. Friendly staff, and welcoming environment.

i was fortunate to have selected Affordable Family Dentistry. I had an emergency and I was able to make an appointment. Dr. Chang made me feel important and comfortable at the same time. No one like being at the dentist. I'm not any different. He was able to provide me some comfort with some medication and a treatment plan to help better take care of my gums. He educated me on what I am doing wrong and what I need to do right. He made it very personal to make sure I know what I need to do to keep my teeth. Education is key when it comes to healthy gums. I will be returning for sure for more cleaning and a treatment to restore my gums back to health. He did a great job and I am happy that I have made this appointment with Affordable Family Dentistry! Great service, was seen right away. Friendly and informative. I felt as though they took the time to listen to my needs and were able to assist me in what I needed.

The staff at this dental office were very kind the dentist was very direct and to the point. He explains things to the point that everyone can understand what's going on at the point and time I absolutely will recommend people to check them out.

I am new here bring my two kids cleaning tooth. Dr Chiang was very nice and patient, he did a great job for my son. We like here and recommend.

I went to affordable family dentistry for an emergency appt. Upon arrival I was sent a text message asking to let them know when I was outside. (Didn’t seem strange due to possible Covid restrictions) however when I got inside I was greeted by the dentist. There was no one at the front counter and no assistant just me and him. Which was more than a little uncomfortable. He said “his staff was at lunch break.” That was at 1130. However, I left there at 140 and no staff ever came back. He took X-rays and proceeded to tell me that I needed a 7000 dollar mouth guard and that he would recommend three of my teeth get pulled at 4000 a piece. And that was not counting the implants he was suggesting. Oh and he wanted all the money up front. I’m sorry sir but I’m not giving anyone 11,000 dollars upfront with no documentation or a breakdown of costs. He kept saying “it’s not like I have a box of implants I’m trying to sell you” however it seemed to me he didn’t want to do anything but pull my teeth. I asked him for antibiotic he said that he would send it over to the nearest pharmacy. I then asked “can you send it over to my pharmacy?” he refused. I went to pick it up later that evening and he had never called in the prescription. When I texted asking about it he said he was unsure that I wanted them and they wouldn’t help me anyway. I then asked if he could send my X-rays over to another dentist for a second opinion. His response was check your email and good luck with that. Still have not received said email. I would not recommend this place. For a dentist that claims he’s a teacher a local university which when I looked him up and he’s a volunteer there. (Half truth) I’m just a person telling my story and we are just having a conversation (he kept saying that the whole time) So unless you have have a ton of money and want to be in tears leaving there thinking you need all your teeth pulled out. I would avoid this place all together and get a second opinion. I read his goog

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before deciding on this office. I am so happy that I picked Affordable Family Dentistry. I am in customer service and I can tell from experience that the bad reviews are not true and is written by the same group of people probably because they all wanted free work. My family had the best experience because Dr. Chiang and his staff are very straight forward and informative. Pricing is great and the work is superb. Thank you for the dental implants and TMJ devices. My spouse who hasn't seen a dentist in 20 years (out of fear) is finally going to the dentist on a regular schedule. Dr Chiang fixed the TMJ jaw problems we have had for years. I've referred basically my home neighborhood and coworkers to Affordable family dentistry. Awesome Awesome Awesome dentist!
