Belltown Modern Dentistry

Me and my family have been going to Belltown for about 4 years now. I have had everything from cleanings, filings, crowns and everything in between. I have had such a great expereince there. I even recently had a billing snafu that was partilly my issue and partially theres and their staff was very helpful in getting it straightned out. I recenty had to have two front fillings with Dr. Bienstock and was dreading it because of bad expereinces I have had in the past with other dentists. With Dr. Bienstock it didn't hurt a bit including the dreaded up the nose shots. 10/10 would recommend this office to anyone (and I do).

Very modern practice with teeth X-rays and images. Like the way dentists explain whats going on using photos before the treatment.

I am absolutely disgusted by the billing practice of this dental office. The doctors may be great, but that doesn't excuse the shady behavior of their billing department. I paid over $1,000 for a crown in March 2022, despite having double insurance, and was promised a refund as soon as they collected the check from my insurance. That was a LIE! For the next EIGHT months, I sent multiple emails and made numerous phone calls to inquire about my refund, only to be met with excuses and blame-shifting. They claimed there was some paperwork mix-up and asked me to contact my insurance to clarify, even though it was their responsibility to figure it out. I spent hours going back and forth between the insurance and the dental office, trying to get them to resubmit paperwork and process my refund. Finally, in November 2022, the insurance sent them a check, but it's now March 2023 and I still haven't received my money. Every time I tried to call the dental office, they made excuses and blamed the insurance company for their incompetence. It's not my job to do their work for them, and yet they thought it was acceptable to make me do all the legwork to get my refund. I have a full-time job and don't have time to waste on this nonsense. I would NEVER recommend this dental office to anyone, and I strongly advise others to stay away. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else where they value their patients and treat them with respect.

I have been to this clinic twice now for cleanings and had great service. Dr Fang Sun is excellent and very personable, he is quite detailed and spends time explaining what is going on with your teeth. This clinic is different in that the Dentists themselves will do your cleaning for you instead of seeing you at the last minute. I personally like that. Highly recommend.

Really great office with caring and helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone seeking a dentist. They made my appointments quick, easy, yet thorough.

*Update* Shortly after leaving my review, Jamie (The office manager) called me to apologize. She made me feel at ease and offered to make things right. We worked together to make and appointment for the SLU office. I was rescheduled to have the procedure done in March. On 2/14/23, Dr. Tae Lim Youn (The Oral Surgeon) called me to request that I take my review down. I told him I was not taking it down as everything that I wrote was true. He offered to do the sedation for free as well as cover my deductible if I took it down. I told him no. This is when things got ugly. He accused me of not being a patient of Belltown Modern Dentistry. I do not go often. However, my chart clearly shows that I’ve been going since 2021. In fact, my first extraction was done there. He basically told me that the exchange would be a “1 for 1.” He stated that he’s also the surgeon at the SLU office as well. I’m so glad that he told me that. I will be sure to not go to any of their locations ever again. I was definitely willing to give them a second chance because of Jamie. However, Dr. Youn really has bad business practices and ethics. I am so glad I recorded that conversation as well. Do not believe the hype on the reviews of this place. They are clearly offering free procedures for good reviews. The absolute worst! A procedure was scheduled for me to get a tooth extraction with sedation. When I arrived to the office at 7:30 am with my partner, I was told that I would have to reschedule as that is not what they had in their system. Now me and my partner are out of an entire days work. Then I asked for a full refund and was told that it was submitted but not approved. I honestly will never go back here as they don’t have their stuff together. The front desk rep is very passive aggressive as well!

Everyone at Belltown Modern Dentistry was super nice on my visit. The reception, the hygienist and the dentist could not have been more accommodating and patient. As a person who suffers from dentist-anxiety, they took their time and explained everything, tried different techniques until I was comfortable, and even took breaks so I wasn’t overwhelmed. The dentist was super gentle and tried to work quickly so that it was over fast! I especially liked that after the initial x-rays and superficial check, they explained what the course of treatment should be and then before any work was done, the receptionist came in and explained what my insurance would cover and what the cost would be. It was all very transparent and I appreciated that. I highly recommend Belltown Modern Dentistry!!!

Doctor Sun is really professional. I took X ray for the purpose of doing teeth whitening but then he found out I should do multiple fillings. He is nice and professional and give good suggestions and let me have good and smooth filling process. The clinic in whole is also very good and quickly responsive to things. Highly recommend to come to this doctor and also whole clinic.

This was one of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had! The entire staff was helpful and supportive from the moment I walked in until I left. Everything was explained prior to any procedures and they do their best not to surprise you with the cost for services. I cannot recommend this place enough!
