Melinda at the front desk was extremely kind and patient with helping me find my insurance details. She even printed me off a copy of my details for future reference and walked me through my coverage. A front desk angel. I have not had my appointment yet, but I am confident from the care and attention I received from the front desk that the rest of my visit will be just as friendly and professional.
Edit: it was.

I had an absolutely horrible experience. Cap Hill Dentist were good at cleaning my teeth but they wanted give me several unnecessary cavity fillings.
I have had 1 cavity in my entire life (after not going to a dentist for 3 years). I now get my teeth cleaned every 6 to 9 months. Cap Hill Dentist said I had 8 cavities. I was shocked and didn't believe them, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. This dentist said I had 0 cavities! This 0 seems much more likely given my lack of cavities in the past. I can't believe Cap Hill Dentist would so blatantly lie and make up cavities just to make extra money and damage my teeth.
I would give Cap Hill Dentist zero stars if I could. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I had not gone to the dentist for much too long and the entire team made me feel so welcomed and not judged. Melinda at the front desk was warm and welcoming! Frank who cleaned my teeth comforted me with humor and took a genuine interest in my life. Dr. Linda Kim was professional and kind. Can’t say I look forward to fillings but this group makes the pill go down easier.

Very nice staff, dentists, and facilities. Melinda went above and beyond in scheduling via email and working with my insurance (a tedious task since I didn’t have all of the info). The girl at the front desk was funny too :)

The best dentist I’ve ever been to. I’ve had terrible anxiety about dentists in the past, and I actually look forward to coming here. Every person working here is friendly and great at their job.

REVIEW STRICTLY FOR RUDE SCHEDULING STAFF: First off, I just want to say that I have not had the chance to visit the clinic itself and based on the other reviews, I am sure the dentists are actually really good and professional. However, their scheduling staff was just extremely rude on email. After attempting to schedule an appointment online and providing all the information they asked for (since I am a new patient), I have not heard back for a week and decided to send out another email to follow up. Even after I attached our previous email exchanges (with all my info included), they rudely replied "I am not sure what you mean by, "you just want to follow up on your cleaning appointment". I do not have you in our system." Oh let me tell you why you don't have my profile in your system...cause you never bothered to enter the info I already sent you a week ago!
Take your business elsewhere unless you want to deal with the terrible attitude and serious lack of professionalism of the scheduling staff.

Both my husband and I have been coming here since 2018 .. needless to say, we love our dentist. However, I cannot give 3 stars due to front desk staff, specifically Melinda's attitude regarding scheduling/arriving late. This office is located in a busy area of Seattle'a First Hill / Capitol Hill neighborhood .. some times arriving a few minutes late due to traffic is unavoidable. Today I was given a hard time post-treatment for being late when I was not even able of engaging in dialogue since I had gauze in my mouth. Telling a patient that next time their appointment will be canceled and a $75 "family cancelation fee" (when it's just me) will be charged for being 15 minutes late after they just struggled to get there on time and fished out $543.00 is a sure way to push long-time patients away. They could have certainly communicated that my late arrival would be a problem when we spoke on the phone while I was on my way there and I would have just canceled, went back home and they would have missed out on $468.00 profit. Not to mention that I have have another $1,000.00 treatment scheduled for next week and my husband has a $1,200.00 scheduled next week as well. Friendly reminders are one thing but lecturing patients with a demanding attitude after they just rushed to get there AND gave you money is another thing entirely + an easy way to lose patients /money.

I was referred to Seneca Dental by my dentist for excessive gum recession after Invisalign treatment. I had four large areas that needed to have a gum graft, and after visiting another periodontist and getting quoted ~$17K I was hesitant to say the least.
But now I have completed 2 out of the 4 gum graft surgeries and couldn't be happier with both the results and cost of the procedures. My procedures were with Dr. Hong and he truly is a perfectionist - which is everything you want from a doctor right? His assistant was also great, checking in to see what my pain levels were etc. Overall a very comfortable experience.
TL:DR
Highly recommend. Patient care 10/10. Doctor visit 10/10. Cost 10/10.

Never thought I’d be reviewing a dental office, but wow do they deserve it! This office is full of kind, empathetic, and helpful humans. I have pretty bad dental anxiety and avoided the dentist for years. When looking for a dentist that would work with my anxiety, I found Seneca Dental and they made me feel calm and welcome from my very first experience. I never feel judged, pressured, or uncomfortable. Everyone here is wonderful, straight forward, and will get it done. 10/10 will recommend forever.

Best dental experience! I received a root canal and crown in one day. Dr was concerned with my experience, professional, and nurse was friendly. Highly suggest.

First off, I would like to say that this was probably one of the best experiences I have had when visiting the dentist. I don't have many issues with my teeth or in general with the dentist, I just usually do my routine dental cleanings and since switching insurance plans, my other dentist was no longer in network. I found Seneca Dental through my in-network plan by looking them up on the website that my insurance lists options. I read reviews and did my due diligence and scheduled an appointment immediately. When walking in the door, I was pleasantly surprised - the office itself had a very home-y feeling and had plants everywhere, which I am a big fan of. You could tell that the people who worked here took pride in making sure the office looked nice. I am use to dentist appointments taking quite some time from the moment I check in and then am finally called to come back, but the staff was very prompt in fitting me in in a timely manner. My dental hygienist was Ms. Ly - who was so helpful and very informative. She took the time to get to know me and connect on a personal level. She also did an amazing job on my cleaning. My dentist was Dr. Linda Kim - I really enjoyed having her work with me. She was so friendly and had lots of words of encouragement for me when I had to get procedure done (which I wasn't initially scheduled for, but they found a way to fit me in). I would definitely recommend going to this dentist office. The whole staff is very welcoming and Dr. Kim and my dental hygienist Ms. Ly were a great team! I am looking forward to my next visit with them :)

Perfectionist, detail-oriented, compassionate dentists and hygienists. I’ve had a lot of really good work done by the people here and have always been happy with the results.
The office is located in a quiet area just off the main roads - very easy to get to.
Fun fact - Herbert Selipsky, father of Adam Selipsky, used to work here as a periodontist until his recent retirement. The tech workers out there might recognize the name - he’s the father of Adam Selipsky, CEO of Tableau.

I've been going to Seneca Dental just a year or two and have had a great experience with everyone so far! Then recently I had the unfortunate experience of messing up an old tooth filling while chewing on a mint at my wedding. Luckily the awesome team at Seneca Dental worked me in to the schedule within a couple days and it was a quick and easy fix of the filling. And just in time to celebrate a little honeymoon with my husband! Thank you!

Dr. Lao has been taking care of our family for many years now. Like any child, our daughter is always anxious about going to see the dentist, but Dr. Lao makes her feel at ease. A good dentist is hard to find and I would definitely recommend Dr. Lao to anyone.

Dr. Lao is the first dentist I’ve found that I haven’t dreaded to go in to get my teeth taken care of. She makes it quick, painless, does an awesome job all while somehow making the trip kind of fun. Couldn’t recommend her enough!! The office staff is friendly and on top of their game as well which makes it an overall great experience!

Dr. Lao at Seneca Dental is great! I followed her from her Northgate office to Seneca Dental. Always a good experience and I would highly recommend this office for any dental work you may need done.
