There isn't much good to say about this place. If I could talk about my experience, I would give detailed instances of why I would strongly suggest not going to this practice if you have other options available. It would take a lot of time and typing to go over everything. Literally the worst dentist I have ever encountered.

I've been a patient for nearly 20 years. I now bring my 6 year old and 2 year old and they both do incredibly well. For kids- going to the dentist can be scary but they love going. Their office is very patient with both kids- making sure they feel comfortable and calm throughout the entire visit/exam. They are efficient, thorough and friendly. I've had to come in an emergency and was seen immediately. Highly recommend!

Visited Dr Starcher for a filling. He was short with me and acted as if he was disgusted that he has to deal with the public. He injected a numbing agent into my gums and within seconds started drilling. I told him I wasn't numb yet and he angrily put down his drill and without asking, injected me with an additional syringe of numbing agent. His secretary raised her voice at me when I asked how they send bills out to their patients. It's almost unbelievable to me that his office is as popular as it is. I understand he has a number of patients who have visited his office for years. I also understand that he has lost a few due to his unprofessional behavior, myself included.

Disclaimer: I only had extractions done. Between the current pandemic and not having dental insurance finding a dentist that would accept me was difficult. They (he and his staff) took me in, treated me well and were very friendly all while practicing good pandemic guideline procedures. I will be going here for all my dental work from now on.

My husband got tooth abscess. Went to Dr Starcher and was put on antibiotic. A week later pulled his tooth but was still infected, painful and draining pus. After a couple of days, called Dr Starcher to inform him of pain and pus and he said, “no I don’t need to see him. It will get better. “. So my husband went to CAMC urgent care and they irrigated it and put him on different antibiotic for 2 weeks. TooK about 1 month to heal, now he has a crater in his gum. After going to Starcher for about 10 years, we will NEVER GO BACK.
