Total Care Dental

As most of us do, I have VERY HIGH fear and anxiety about going to the dentist, due to several past experiences! However, my time at Total Care Dental, with Dr. Clark and Rachel were BEYOND my expectations! They are extremely patient, kind and compassionate! Treat you with a case by case basis and help explain evrything along the way! Could not be more pleased with my experience so far! Thank you for changing my mind abt dental visits! Highly, Highly recommended!

Just because i couldn't figure my dental insurance out they would not let me come at all anymore

I came to tdc from another office in the area with some gum issues that is been fighting for YEARS, without resolve. Within 3 months my gum tissue is healthy, they offered me soo many ways to regain the health of my gums that my previous dentist just didn't. And I'm a few weeks out from getting braces! I'm Thrilled to have found Dr. Vandahar and tdc!

Dr. Vandehaar and the team are incredibly friendly and offer explanations for everything they do. I admit I was not a regular flosser until the hygienist explained why the process is important. She also introduced me to a tool that makes flossing so much easier. I’m so happy I found them and so are my teeth!

I had an amazing experience with Dr Kalsow. She is kind, compassionate, and highly skilled. She and her awesome assistant Kelsi made what would normally be a stressful appointment easy, fun, and most importantly completely painless! I really appreciated Dr Kalsow’s close attention to detail. I would highly recommend Dr Kalsow and TCD.

My husband suggested I go here for dental pain after I bumped my crown over the New Year. It was the best dentist experience I've ever had outside of my dentist of 20 years in Chicago. Their advice and consult aligned perfectly with my dentist in Chicago. They didn't try to push any services or agendas or insult the work I had done before. They were so kind, really cared about me, and explained everything so well. I felt like I was in the right place.

Dr.Clark and his team are absolutely amazing,I literally just left their office!Iam extremely impressed by the care and professionalism they provide!I had a chipped front tooth and a complex due to bad dental experiences in the past,when I say they are the best,I mean the best!Iam 35 years old and have never been as pleased as Iam with the work they performed and care they showed for me as a person not just a patient!! Dr. Tammy and her team were absolutely wonderful! I have anxiety from bad dental work in the past and they made me feel very comfortable! It was an overall pleasant experience even with a root canal done on my first visit! TCD also made me as a patient feel important and took time to explain my insurance coverage and out of pocket cost.

Total Care Dental is the best, seriously you will not find a better care team. They are extremely thorough and thoughtful, from your dental health, overall health to billing. I can’t recommend them enough!

I'm concerned that Total Care Dental does not perform tooth extractions and root canal procedures safely causing dental cavitations which are about a 90% probable if done traditionally. These are dangerous highly toxic infections in the jaw bone leading to widespread systemic chronic illness. I ended up with a cavitation after having a tooth extraction and was never informed that this would be a likely possibility or that these cavatations trigger Lyme disease from the toxic burden on the immune system.

Beautiful office, friendly staff all around. I saw Dr. Streff, Kelly and Erin all at my first visit and they were so kind. Even the treatment coordinator (Amy) was extremely friendly. They educate you on what their talking about and do an amazing job making sure your comfortable.

Great professionals at Total Care Dental. Everyone is friendly and genuinely cares not only about your teeth but you as person. Even though they are located in Madison the atmosphere feels like a small hometown dentist. I highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Vandehaar and his team at Total Care Dental. As someone who has extensive dental issues and a long road ahead, Dr. Vandehaar took the time to listen and understand my specific needs. I reached out to him through a virtual consult and received a quick and informative response. Since then, I have communicated with him regarding my needs and decided to come in to further discuss my concerns. As someone who is very self conscious regarding my dental issues I was so impressed during my first visit at how at ease his whole team made me feel. I look forward to continue my dental care with Dr. Vandehaar.

As long as I can remember I have not liked going to the dentist. When I was little my family would volunteer to be the first live patients for new dentists. They were nervous. I recall my gums and even tongue getting cut at the dental college. Virtually every dentist I dealt with over the next forty years made me anxious. Most were just people who made me uncomfortable. That feeling makes it virtually impossible to truly trust them. Flash forward my first son goes to a pediatric dentist recommended by our Aurora children’s doctor. They guy was an aging zombie man who seemed to not like children. He scared me for my son and my son didn’t like, trust or want to be there. Flash forward a few more years. With three children two who had never been to the dentist, my wife not going to the dentist in maybe ten years and me only going if I had a problem, I met Dr. Brett. I said to myself this guy is different. The kind of person all of our friends are, sincere, honest and just nice. While we meticulously brush teeth with the children it was long overdue that they see a dentist so the whole family went to Total Care Dental. For the first time in my memory I can relax at the dentist! My wife loves them and the children… LOVE GOING TO THE DENTIST!!! Even our son who made no bones about it he did not like or trust the first dentist LOVES going to TCD. We live in Delafield so a 50 minute drive is a commitment but every person from the people who check you in to the people who clean your teeth to the dentists is worth it. If you never felt good at the dentist and you want a dentist you just know you can trust try TCD and you will at least not mind going to the dentist from that point forward. Highest recommendation!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE TCD! Kelsi and Dr. Vandehaar will be my go to for the rest of my life! I kept pushing off picking a dentist in Madison because I was afraid of the pain/process. Kelsey did an amazing job taking it at my pace, providing any comfort I needed, and generally being down to earth and fun to talk with, all while being very professional! Dr. Vandehaar is very experienced and did a wonderful job understanding my needs. Would 100% recommend!

I’ve been going to tcd since I was a kid and I refuse to go anywhere else. Always professional and caring staff. I feel like the staff are family to me. I’ve known Scotti for years and she’s the best! Always fun and is super thorough :) love her!! Dr. Clark is also awesome! Tcd is the best!!

This place is Amazing! They are very thoughtful and friendly.Not only is Dr Vanderhar a GREAT dentist but him and his crew are very caring. I’ve been working with them for years now and would highly recommend.
