Do not go here for an emergency! Also, working with this practice felt like buying a used car when dealing with Dr. Pollan, who is the owner. I went here for an emergency tooth infection and wisdom tooth is broken, I paid for X-rays, I paid emergency consultation fee, I have face swelling and am in excruciating pain, but the dr was only interested in booking procedures and cleanings and all of that - which I agreed to, but he REFUSED to give me antibiotics for my swelling, which was causing me a ton of pain, and health issues. I have an emergency, and he is telling me how the history of antibiotics, and his father gave too many out, then he told me it won’t “work until Thursday” and then a few minutes later “it won’t work until Saturday” and I should take work off ( I own a small business, I can’t not take off on the holiday season, I explained before) and get a tooth taken out by a surgeon same - or next day… I already have a scheduled appointment to get the tooth out, and I agreed to move it up to Monday, and he knew the ENTIRE time my insurance coverage begins Jan 1, but keeps telling me to get surgery and not wait the two weeks while not providing me with antibiotics I need , because his wife, who looked at me, told me I have an infection! He told me it was probably a “money thing” why I don’t want to get it out now but I explained it was my schedule and my time, trying to humiliate me??? All I wanted was some antibiotics to help mitigate the threat to my surrounding tissue and bone while waiting to get the tooth out early January like we planned, and he only wanted to try to get me to pay out of pocket the full bill, when I’m paying for coverage soon. Overall, DO NOT go here for emergency expecting to be helped for severe tooth pain or infection expecting to get antibiotics or real pain relief. I left with a $250 debit card payment, a list of over the counter drugs, and I’m still suffering! They just use the emergency tooth pain to funnel leads. Disappoi

Excellent team. Doctor did a lot of great work on my teeth and my teeth finally feel good and healthy. Great preventive care as well. The implant that the doctor installed is 10 of 10. I will highly recommend University Square Dental

Great team of dental professionals! Dr. Pollan is great at answering all my questions and addressing my dental concerns in the least invasive way. Sue does an amazing job cleaning my teeth! All the staff are friendly and great with my 10-year-old daughter as well. I highly recommend!

Even Dentistry can be FUN! I love the crew at this office. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and truly enjoyable to be around. Going to the dentist isn't typically a blast but the numbness and drilling are worth it if Sue, Paige, Mya or Rob are around! Thank you for your knowledge, flexibility, options and most of all... jokes. YOU GUYS ROCK!🏆👍

Dr. Pollan helped me out in a tough situation and gave me an opportunity to reclaim my dental health. The personal attention and encouragement helped me get ahead of my dental problems and now I feel in control. It's hard to overstate the positive effect this has had on my outlook toward overall health, including mental health. The atmosphere is fantastic, every one of the team is great to be around. I would (and have) recommend University Square Dental.

Best dentist ever! We have been going here for over 15 years, and feel so lucky to have such great care: thorough cleaning, preventative care, fun folks. We are especially happy to have Rob (Dr. Robert Pollan), who has now taken over the practice. He is precise, patient, and genuinely interested in us, always taking time to care for the whole person, not just the mouth. I used to assist in a dentist office, so I am particularly particular ... and, really, you'll never find anyone better. Even though we live away from Madison most of the year, we make sure we make it back for regular care. Thanks Rob, Vicky, Sue, Amanda and Connie...and Chamfer!

Wonderful service, pain-free and as pleasant of an experience as you can ask for from a dental office. I hope that they are taking great care of me for another 20 years!

Hey dr pollan an staff i use to be a patient years ago i don't live in Wisconsin any more. .i now reside in quartz hill California ..needing my dental records if i have any..i will be calling today for them if possible. .needing my last wisdom teeth pulled out this week. ..California. Is not anything like Wisconsin

I've been going to Stan and Sue for almost 10 years now -- best dental experience you can have, hands-down. Sue is very gentle and does a fantastic job with regular cleanings, Stan is great at what he does and has a great sense of humor to boot, location is fantastic and the prices are spot-on. I can't recommend them enough.

When I walk into University Square Dental Associates I expect the highest level of expertise and friendly staff. The people who I worked with would have served as fine company trapped in a little log cabin in the dead of winter. My mouth upon exiting the establishment after a routine cleaning was so clean I was purifying the air simply by breathing.
