This office has been caring for my dental needs since I moved to this area in 2018. They are always pleasant and get the job done.

Oct 2018, I went as a new patient for a general cleaning. Dr. Downing said he needed to get below my gums with this laser surgery he performs. The surgery would run about $4000. He offered a cash payment discount, to which Caycee in billing said he shouldn't have told me that, and Dr Downing insisted I get this done immediately, to avoid permanent bone damage. I cleared my schedule for that afternoon and had step 1 of the procedure. I had to pay 1/2 up front and the other 1/2 4 days later at the 2nd appt. We asked in November if a refund was due to us, Caycee hadnt heard anything from our insurance company. I overpaid them by $620 which took 3 months, 4 phone calls and 2 in-person trips to finally obtain my refund. My husband reviewed dental bills during Christmas holidays and reaIized we were due a $600 refund. The insurance document shows 11/8, they returned the portions covered by insurance to Dr Downing's office. We didnt see this until late Dec. We both went to the office on 1/3 to inquire why it hadn't been refunded yet. Caycee told us she submitted that refund to her office manager "yesterday" when she discovered it. We were told by Caycee it takes 30 days to get a refund, but she submitted it. We were told end of January that the refund check got bumped because it was unusually too large. They canceled it. At one point on a 3rd inquiry, the Columbia office manager said she really didn't know where the check was and Dr Downing had to sign the check but he was on vacation. Integrity is not their strength. I now wonder if I even needed the surgery he insisted on I have. During those 2 procedures, I had to listen to his assistant hover over me talking about her personal problems, her back pain and her ADHD issues. She seemed like she was overly medicated or needed to be medicated, she was not professional at all. She was loud and anxious, causing my anxiety levels to rise, bringing me to tears with the stressful situation I was in while they worked on me. I wanted to believe in this Dr but we have had consistantly miscommunications from him and his staff. We canceled my husbands appointment after they botched his dental hygienist preference in scheduling. I do NOT recommend this practice to anyone. Teresa was my hygienist, she was excellent and in my opinion, doesn't belong with the unprofessional staff at White Knoll Dentistry.

Professional, well educated staff that makes sure you understand your needs. Completing a care plan and flexible to changes as indicated. Glad I found this group.

WKCD is by far one of the top notch dentistry in Lexington that I've been to. My hygentist did an excellent job and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I definitely recommend them!!

My husband showed up at 750am for his first appointment with this dentist office schedule for 8am. When he went to go inside he noticed the door said they didn't open until 830am, so he sat in his car and and waited until 8am and tried to call the front desk.

The phones went straight to voicemail and had no information about their hours. The place appeared closed, so he sat there until 830a and when he went in they told him they've been open since 8a and since he was late he couldn't be seen today.

They didn't apologize for the misunderstanding. Tjey just told told him hed have to reschedule. There was no confirmation call/email /text to confirm our appointments or give any instructions. The front desk seemed as they didn't care and came off rude.

I called and cancelled my appointment which immediately followed his, as soon as he got home. Told them we'd be switching to a different dentist.

Poor customer service, acted like they don't want our business.

Dr Downing and his staff is amazing. From the moment you walk in the door they make you feel like family. I have high anxiety coming into the office and they put me at ease. I will never go anywhere else!

I just had my 6 mos. Check and had Jaime as my hygienist. She was very personable yet very professional. She was gentle, thorough and explained what she was doing and why. I also had Dr.Mineheart, not sure of spellig. Excellent dentist. Very professional.

Great customer service and friendly doctors. Coming to the dentist isn't always the most enjoyable thing to do but knowing that I will be greeted with kindness and treated nicely makes it easier!!

Great local dentist office within driving distance. Very courteous and professional staff, I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new Practice that's in the areas or anyone needing to have anything done.
