Clarksville Modern Dentistry

Some of you know I, have a fear of dentist. But you don’t know the reason. When I was about 8 years old. I had some work done, I told the dentist he was hurting me, I can’t remember if I was getting a tooth pulled or a filling. But imagine as a child you have someone hurting you and they don’t stop, it can traumatize you.
The dentist didn’t listen, and I screamed he was hurting me, he didn’t stop so as a child my natural reaction was to fight back. I recall this dentist being over me, being very forceful with the dental work he was doing.
At some point I, had enough and I kicked his very hard in the " gonads" which left him in pain on the floor. .and my mother called to the back of the dentist office to see her child in pain crying.
Since then. I have had a fear of dentist.
I have had cleanings done, but with a lot of anxiety and fear that I would go through the same thing again.
Throughout the years, you name it I have bought it. Toothpaste, dental cleaners, mouthwashes, waterpics, top of the line electronic tooth brushes to avoid the dentist.

Later part of 2017 I was eating one of my favorite snacks. Crunchy munch , I bit down and heard a snap. I felt something crumble in my mouth that was not crunchy munch lol. I cracked my #4 tooth on my upper right. A cavity set up. I visited one office a few days ago, they made only one recommendation which just didn’t seem right, so I started to see out other options.

I visited my new dentist today, I had x rays, and a full exam done. The Doctor came in a made several recommendations, was very through. Not only that she was kind, explained everything to me step by step. More importantly they took their time, I did not feel rushed, nor did I feel a bit of anxiety. For the first time in my life I felt relaxed, imagine that using the word relaxed and dentist in the same sentence

I had my teeth cleaned today as well, and the hygienist was so gentle, I fell asleep several times and she cradled me like a baby while cleaning my teeth, I know many of you reading this will laugh, but I cried during the treatment and especially after. I cried simply because of the experience as a child. It truly scared me. But today, my fears have disappeared, vanished into thin air.
I never thought in a million years, that I would be able to say that I am no longer afraid of the dentist. Sometimes all it takes is to explain to someone, what your fears are and talk you through it to get you to the point of relaxation.
The other thing is this if you don’t trust your dentist, doctor there is no way to truly build a relationship with your patient. Tomorrow(1-9-2018) I am scheduled for major dental surgery, I am at peace with the procedures. I must have done, if you are looking for someone to take their time, explain to you what they are doing, and you want to feel like you are loved, cared for. I highly recommend Clarksville Modern Dentistry . This book used to be a favorite of mine as a kid. I have plans on buying it to add to my library to mark the day I was no longer “ ascared” of the dentist…. Thank for reading guys..

I called early morning to get a appointment for a infection. Stacie U. got me scheduled quickly and was in same day. Everyone that was there in the office was super friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this office to anyone!

I saw Dr. Francis and he was fantastic. Actually, the whole staff was amazing. I always new what they were going to do and what to expect. They always took the time to explain procedures to me. As far as novocaine shots go, Dr. Francis is the closest to painless that I have ever experienced.

Professional and courteous. Mrs.Kerstin was especially diligent today.

A broken tooth became infected n my face was swelling up not to mention the pain. A co-worker/girlfriend Pam told me about this Dentist n how welcomed she felt being there. I called them before lunch today n they made me an appointment for 2:30. But told me it might b awhile. I told them that’s ok, I have patience. Lol. I was seen n out by 4. With a prescription for an antibiotic n a appointment for tomorrow to have my tooth removed at 12:45. The entire staff made me feel right at home. I have recommended them to other co-workers/friends. N they r planning on giving them a call soon.

This is the best dentist i have ever been to. They are all very friendly and try to make your visit comfortable. they are understanding and even have a dental plan for people without insurance!

Got a crown put on. Larissa and Kandati made sure it was painless!

They are a good place to get your teeth exam very closely, even good with get financing plan for those expensive procedure. My only concern is when you have put something on order, they never call and inform you about it arriving in their office.

Excellent service and very professional from the front desk with Hillary and Dr k and Faria and shay. Good experience. My whole family are patients except one.
I hope it continues.

Love Clarksville Modern Dentistry , Dr. Kandati is the best! I have a phobia about going to the dentist and Dr. Kandati's calm demeanor soothed all my dental visits. The staff and dental assistants and dental hygienist are wonderful! Highly recommend Clarksvill Modern Dentistry.
