I moved to Kingsport after 22 years with the same dentist, and missed my scheduled cleaning in the move. I was nervous about booking a cleaning after only an internet search, because we knew nobody in the area to ask for referrals. From the beginning, everyone was very nice! I asked to be put on a cancellation call list because I was already overdue and the first opening was two months out. After the third call, I was able to get in a month before my originally-schedules appointment. Once there, I was impressed with the facility and their state of the art cleaning and preventative dental procedures. They even have an emotional support dog named Remmy! Everyone was super welcoming and eager to serve.

I had an implant done today performed by Dr. Eric Rustemier. He was very conscientious and the whole process a great experience. I would highly recommend him for your dental needs. The staff there was also helpful and friendly.

I seen Vonda today, and she was the sweetest! I usually see someone else but I was very pleased with the service I was given! This place has been so amazing, I can tell a huge difference since I started going here! If I could give them 10 stars I would! Highly recommend!

# 1 I absolutely fear and hate going to a dentist!! #2 I can’t even stand the smell of a dentist office literally makes me sick to my stomach!
So with all that being said, I couldn’t have felt any more comfortable and cared for without fear, if I had ordered it up myself! The dentist and staff was really kind and caring right through my whole experience even the check in and out staff was nice! And believe me that was really a wonderful experience

This office is impressive in so many ways. It started from the moment I walked through the doors. I was greeted in a warm and friendly fashion when I asked to fill out new patient paperwork. After I completed my paperwork and sat back down in the waiting room, I was updated by the ladies up front on when it was my turn to be called back for my appointment. Wow! Impressive. Keep that up! (Please note: I waited only 10 min after completing my paperwork).
I am a detailed person, so I noticed each assistant or dental hygienist coming out to get their patient with a smile and true excitement to see them.
Grace, who is Dr. Eric Rustemier's assistant, came to the lobby to get me and she was both professional and friendly. She asked for history and listened intently as I told her my reason for being there.
She and Dr. Rustemier worked seamlessly together throughout my visit. She anticipated both his needs and my needs perfectly. She obtained my history and took me to get several types of x-rays to help establish me as a patient. The x-rays were state of the art and helped Dr Rustemier in making decisions based on need as indicated in the photos. (3 types were obtained).
Now, lets talk about Dr Rustemier. He is absolutely brilliant and knowledgeable beyond measure. His background alone is impressive, but how he treated me was a true delight.
He took the time to discuss my issue and offered his professional advice on how best to tackle the problem. He discussed the ideal situation in which he stressed that it was likely to happen that way, showing me the x-rays as a resource for his decision, but if it didn't work as planned there was another option. (He discussed the alternative route also). He spoke in such a way that made me feel confident in my decision to be sitting in that office, in that chair. He was fun as well, and that means a lot to me. I like having fun in an environment that seems to be a stressor for so many. I cant say enough great things about him.
Many times, patients feel like cattle in a dental office, "move em in, move em out", but not at Martin Dentistry. You will feel welcomed like family and at ease from check in to check out.
Oh, and my check out experience was outstanding. Sherry is one of a kind for sure. She had the daunting task of discussing payment and ways to pay if needed, but she did it like a champ. Sherry was easy to open up to and seems more like a sister or favorite aunt, than a financial person.
I can say this with complete confidence---I will always be a patient at Martin Dentistry.
