Northwest Austin Family Dentistry

I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time so I was very nervous and anxious to have treatment done especially a root canal, but Dr. Prasad and her staff were very comforting and patient, and made me feel at ease. I truly feel like I'm in great care at Northwest Austin Family Dentistry.

Like many other people, I’ve had a fear of going to the dentist since I was a kid. In my 20s, I avoided it out of fear; in my 30s I avoided it out of sheer embarrassment by how long it had been. I had gone about 10 years without seeing a dentist… (I told Dr. Prasad it had only been 5 years. She could probably tell it had been longer, but she was very kind and didn’t call me out on my lie).

Needless to say, my teeth needed some WORK. When they were explaining the dental plan, I literally started crying bc I was so embarrassed but Dr. Prasad, Jennifer, and everyone else at Northwest Austin Family Dentistry was **unbelievably** kind, comforting, and patient with me.

I saw them regularly for a few months to get everything fixed and cleaned up. They broke my treatment plan into sections and provided me with a printed copy so that I could see (1) what needed to be done, (2) the suggested order and timing to do them, and (3) the approximate cost for each item in that list. I’m fortunate to have some really great dental insurance, but regardless it was very, very helpful to have documentation of what the approximate out-of-pocket cost would be for each visit.

I will recommend Northwest Austin Family Dentistry to anyone and everyone. Thanks to them, my fear of the dentist has basically disappeared, and I actually look forward to my appts bc I’m excited to see everyone again — 10 year old me would be shocked! :)

Because of a previous bad experience, going to the dentist is a very scary experience for me. I just moved to Austin and wanted a dentist who understood my anxiety and would be mindful of it. Dr. Prasad and her staff were very friendly and kind, and SO incredibly patient with me. Offering me water, keeping up a gentle banter, trying to keep my mind occupied and away from my anxiety! Dr. Prasad was very accommodating, asking me what my preferences were and stopping the procedure whenever I needed to. They really do care about their patients comfort and peace of mind! A+ service!

Had a good experience with the staff starting from Olga and dental hygienist Jennifer. My primary dentist was Dr Prasad and it was a smooth experience for me over all.
Dr Prasad is friendly and service oriented. I appreciate the level of Empathy and the quality of her work. Her expertise is very credible and I have the confidence of recommending her to my friends and family.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Quality care. I was thoroughly impressed by my first visit and will happily come back. Thank you for making my trip to the dentist a breeze.

I was extremely nervous to go back to a dentist after not being to one in a little over 3 years. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and reassuring. Adrian and America were super helpful at explaining what was going on with my teeth. Adam did an excellent job letting me know exactly what was scheduled, and making sure I understood my insurance coverage. My dentist was extremely charming and professional. Overall, I really had a great experience, and I look forward to my next appointment.

We highly recommend Dr.Prasad and Northwest Austin Family Dentistry after our recent appointments there. Staff is very helpful figuring out details with your insurance and Dr.Prasad makes sure to explain all the details about the problem and the procedure to fix it. She and her other medical staff were so nice with my daughter, that she isn't scared to go to dentist anymore!

I am very happy with the service & Dr.Prasad is very comfortable to work with. She explains the process very well & has a lot of patience while doing the procedure. There were times where my procedure went longer than usual but she never rushed through it
