Cedar Park Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics

I am so humbled by my experience with Dr Guan and Modern dentistry in Cedar Park. The staff was amazing and they treated me as if I was the only patient that existed. They put such care in the treatment they gave me and took every issue serious(even the cosmetic issues that mattered most to me). This is now my new family dentist office and I highly recommend this place. I will never forget my experience :-) . Thanks again Dr Guan. I am so pleased with my experience.

As a future health professional and previous medical student, I’m very particular when it comes to choosing my health providers. I initially came to this practice because I was unsatisfied with my previous dentist because of long gaps in future appointments. This has not been an issue with Cedar Park Modern Dentistry. Dr. Guan is very good at what he does and he’s quite fast. So far, I had two extractions, two root canals with crowns and several fillings. My oral health has immensely improved in the past month, along with a highly aesthetically pleasing smile. Another reason I decided to try this place was because they have their own CAD/CAM tool to create crowns in two hours.

I was hesitant to come here at first because of some of the bad reviews but most of them were from years ago. Dr. Guan took over this practice two years ago and anything beyond that should not be acknowledged. Be cautious of some of the negative reviews, especially if they come from people who have few reviews, no history of a health provider review or if their complaint is short and unjustified. This is not a restaurant and it should not be reviewed as one.

His staff of women is also fantastic in terms of friendliness, knowledge of their duties and attractiveness. The office exudes a very happy and fun environment for their staff with their pumpkin contest, company events and recreational activities. If you keep your employees happy then it’ll show in their work, which is evident here.

My only issue is that is does get slightly cold on the office, especially when you’re there for a while. I would suggest wearing pants and a sweater but they will gladly provide you with a blanket if needed.

Despite all the work I’ve done, I still need more including wisdom teeth removal and implants. I’ve been nothing but satisfied with all the treatment provided. If I wasn’t, then I would’ve definitely transferred dentists again. I wish I came here first and I don’t see myself going to another practice.

UPDATE:
Several years later and I finally completed all of my treatments! I had numerous cavities filled, extractions, all of my wisdom teeth removed, multiple root canals and crowns, implants and veneers all in the same place. Some of these treatments required specialists but they rotate here a few times a month.

I am very pleased with my teeth now because I recovered from what I thought was not fixable but Dr. Guan is wonderful! I never had any issues from all of the work he has done because everything is still in tact and functioning.

Now my teeth are completely healthy and cosmetically great! I would recommend Dr Guan to anyone looking to receive any kind of dental work!

I have been a patient of Dr. Guan for the last 4 years. Dr. Guan takes time to explain in plain language to explain the issues so that a non-dentist like I can understand. He has a lot of patience and makes you feel very comfortable and at ease while he is attending to your dental issues. I would very gladly recommend him to my friends.

I had somewhat difficult issues with my mouth, and these folks were able to resolve them fairly smoothly. The technological advances they employ are impressive--all digital and very accurate.

They also offer a dental discount program that has a reasonable yearly fee and reduces the charges significantly. They still are not inexpensive, but there is some relief.

I have been treated by two different dentists, and both were very professional. The staff is also very welcoming. I recommend them highly.

I can't speak highly enough about this place. I set up an appointment and was invited to enter my history online. When I got there, I only had to sign a couple permissions as per standard practice. After only about three minutes, the dentist came out and walked me back. We went over my history and he gave me a chance to bring up any concerns. I didn't have any so he introduced me to the assistant. She took pictures of my teeth. The dentist went over them with me and he recommended a mouth guard for at night due to some signs of grinding. It was not a hard sell. He merely suggested that was the only thing he could recommend for me. I felt it was very low pressure. Next the hygienist cleaned and flossed my teeth and we were done. We set up the next appointment and we were done. Everything went smoothly and everyone was very nice. I highly recommend them.

I went to Cedar Park Modern Dentistry for a second opinion after receiving a treatment plan for 2 full crowns at another office. Dr. Guan and his staff were able to squeeze me in the same afternoon and he offered to save the healthy portion of my tooth and do an overlay, which solved my problem and kept the healthy portion of my tooth in tact. For the other tooth he said it was far too early to redo the crown, which I was very pleased to hear. His conservative approach made me feel he was more concerned with my health than maximizing profits. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for an honest opinion. The office staff and his assistants were also all very welcoming and helped me feel much more comfortable with everything. They were even able to mill my partial crown while I waited, and Dr. Guan made my bite perfect in minutes. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Cicone was very professional and explained all my options for a filling. She was super friendly and I would def recommend her to my friends.
Amanda was great and got me back and x-rayed super fast. Suzanne was super nice and gentle with me while polishing and cleaning my teeth(I've never been crazy about going to the dentist).

Great people! I found myself needing some serious work done on my teeth. Dr. Guan has been wonderful. He took time to explain everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. He has a compassionate manner about him and is very skilled.
Everyone I have made contact with at Cedar Park Modern Dentistry has been professional and friendly. I would recommend them and Dr. Guan in particular to anyone that is in need of great dental care.

I had the most amazing experience of my life when it comes to dentistry here. For years I’ve felt super nervous and uncomfortable about dental work. At this location, that is definitely not the case. The staff up front got me situated and good to go quickly and with little fuss. The back office made me feel calm and relaxed for my long visit. Dr. Ferrante even offered me water or a protein drink to stave off the hunger for the long visit. At the end, I left with an amazing new smile and finally able to smile and laugh without feeling self conscious about myself. CerecFired all the way, these crowns are amazing! Thank you cedar park team! You guys are amazing!

Just saw some of the reviews below and can honestly say I am shocked. My experience over the last couple of years has always been outstanding. Are they the cheapest option in town? No, but frankly when it come to my healthcare (and dental health is just as important as any) I prefer to spend a bit more for quality. One can look to Yelp for some more reasonable reviews, including one from me from over a year ago.

I had on my long term plan to have an implant done to replace a 30 plus year old root canal and crown. Due to a restaurant accident, I had to move up my plans to immediately and just had the tooth extraction, bone grafting portion of the surgery yesterday and today I am mostly pain free, the temporary tooth (flipper) fits perfectly and is comfortable. Couldn't be happier even if I am now out ~$2.5K. When this is done, it should last the rest of my life!

I should also comment that these guys just may have saved my life. I was originally scheduled a month ago and they found out my blood pressure was way too high and insisted I go get treated. I have since been able to get the problem addresses and am looking forward to increasing good health and a better life because of that one simple catch!

Thanks guys - keep up the great work. I feel bad for anyone who has had a bad experience but don't let that stop you from giving these guys a try and decide for yourself.
