Highland Park Dental

I had an amazing experience at Highland Park Dental. They were very personable and provided excellent customer service. Morgan, the dental hygienist was very thorough and personable. I would highly recommend this dentist office to someone.

The HPD family is a dedicated team and holds themselves to the highest standards professionally. Never dismissing personal and emotional needs, they are the best. My extended family and I have been with Dr Jones and his team for decades, I have the utmost respect for what they do. EWG

Highland Park Dental is super nice, just not for me. I noticed some black streaks on my back molars and decided to get them checked out, though I hadn't been to a dentist in over ten years. I found Highland Park Dental on google maps and was really impressed with their reviews, so I booked an appointment online (which was super easy - online checkins are objectively better than on the phone).

I don't have dental insurance, so was sure to get the price up front. I was charged $329 for the checkup, which included xrays (and with a quick email I got a copy of all of them with my chart). Through the xrays they found periodontal disease, which they were very patient in explaining to me was plaque buildup below the gumline that causes bone loss. They quoted me $1,260 to get it treated with a deep cleaning over two days, plus a filling for $235.

That sounded high to me, so I googled around and found another nearby practice (Mint) that said they could do a deep cleaning in cash for $400. I went to Mint to get my deep cleaning done instead and they were really fast and did an excellent job. They're definitely not as patient as Highland Park Dental, but the tradeoff was that my cleaning and fillings got done a lot faster and cheaper (I was in and out in the same day for a full mouth deep cleaning and two fillings), which is my preference.

The difference between Highland Park Dental and Mint feels to me like the difference between a fancy restaurant and a high end grocery store. If you already know what you want, it's cheaper and faster to get it at the grocery store for a better price and a little more work.

Save yourself time and money, go somewhere (anywhere) else. I had the same experience as other reviewers who gave negative ratings. Dr. Jones and his staff do not offer anything special, which is putting it nicely, there are lots of great dentists out there and he isn’t one of them.

Dr. Jones has been my dentist for more than 10 years. He and his staff do excellent work, and the front office is always pleasant and efficient.

Such a great experience every time my 4 year old goes to the dentist. Starbucks when you arrive and treats for the kiddos when they are finished with their treatment. Miss Landry is the best!

Best dental experience ever! They really took the time to get to know me personally. They even had my favorite Starbucks treat waiting for me after my visit. And you can watch anything from Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon while you get your teeth done. I highly recommend.

Feel very comfortable at my dentist’s office. At appt today, gum recession even reversed in a couple of places thanks to the care I’m getting. People there are always pleasant, extremely professional.
