Desoto Family Dentistry

I took my 3 year old son to see Nikki and Dr Varkey for his first cleaning. He now loves the dentist and insists that it is now Mom and Dads turn. We will be making our own appointments soon!

I had no complaints during my time at Desoto Family Dentistry. Everyone was nice and even have conversations with you most times.

The physician is very thorough and is excellent at listening and comprehending patient expectations. I am most appreciate his honesty and professionalism. The staff are very cordial Thoughtful towards the needs of the patient. I appreciate my experience At Desoto family dentistry.

After the initial consultation which went very well, my scheduled visit was enlightening. The physician shared that the previous dentist split my tooth during another procedure. The previous dentist repeated the procedure three times and I had to pay for it out of pocket each time and of course I was still dissatisfied with the results . The physician with DeSoto Family Dentisty was very thorough as he explained his findings and what the plan was to repair the previous dentist’s errors and he made sure I understood and agreed with his efforts.

For the first time I am happy. The physician explained that the look I wanted could not be achieved without repositioning my bottom teeth so I have braces. The braces were placed without any discomfort absolutely no pain at all. As a matter of fact I didn’t know the braces were on when the technician said she was finished. I literally was in tears because this was the best experience imagined, Excellent, work!!!

So, I have temporary teeth across the top of my mouth until the permanent teeth are made. What is most awing is the temporary teeth created in the office at DeSoro Family Dentistry look better and appear more real than the permanent teeth the previous dentist provided me that cost me thousands!!!! The teeth the previous dentist provided made me appear to have bucked teeth or teeth the looked like I sucked my thumb all my life.

The previous dentist sent molds to the lab repeatedly that took three and four months to return and when the molds returned the previous dentist didn’t even bother to call and notify me. When I happened to call and find out my teeth were at the office I had to sign paperwork as if they were the final fit when in fact I should have been able to wear them to determine whether or not adjustments needed to be made.

DeSoto Family Dentisty said exactly what anyone want to hear as a patient, “when you return you will be able to wear your teeth and make any adjustments necessary before the final fit”. They want to make sure I am completely satisfied!!! Guess what, I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED.

I have referred six other families and if you need a dentist that really cares and is honest and ethical then DESOTO FAMILY DENTISTY is your answer.

This is by far the best dental experience I’ve ever had. The staff and doctor was extremely courteous and professional. They were able to fit me right in. He is also correcting a prior botched dental job that I rencenty had performed by a dentist in Dallas. 5 star treatment!

Worst ever experience. Not only did the dr smile at me acting as if he was about to laugh as I cried from the pain I’m in. He threw a fit about prescribing me anything more than antibiotics.while the pain is so severe over not been able to eat or drink anything for two days. He treated me like a drug seeker cause I even asked for something telling me nothing short of morphine would work which he wouldn’t do either. Then top of this experience with the sliding scale payment options they CLAIM to have. I was told $150 per tooth based on income $700 month was sliding scale. They told me I was paying for full exam. He told me after the fact I only paid for limited exam so never addressed all my dental issues just the ones he felt necessary. I WOULD NOT RETURN HERE NOR WOULD I TAKE A STRAY ANIMAL TO THIS DENTIST. Very unprofessional lacked compassion and very judgemental and prejudice. I wasted my money. Don’t waste yours!!!

The staff is very nice and friendly ,I’m very happy with my result after my fast braces treatment although I had some difficulties. 😊

Dr. Varkey and his staff are very knowledgeable and courteous. Our appointments were always set at our convenience and always on time. We were always greeted with a smile from Amanda at the front desk to Darcie in the procedure room.

This was my first time going here. I chose it because of the reviews. I'm glad I did. Best staff from front to back. Made me feel at ease because I had alot going on. Thanks everyone!!!! Denist very professional too and gentle.

Was relieved to get emergency work done when my regular dentist couldn't see me. However, was very uncomfortable with the high pressure tactics used to push treatment an options.

Dr Praveen is very much dedicated and provides the best service to his patients. He treats his patients with utmost care and takes care of them very well.
