Desoto Family Dentistry

I wanted to share my experience regarding a treatment plan. I was given a treatment plan for replacing my metal fillings, plus a night guard. The treatment plan showed the money that the insurance company would pay and what I would be responsible for. I confirmed with Debra that I was only responsible for the customer pay portion, she stated "yes" and also offered to divide may balance in to two equal payments. I agreed and scheduled the appointment. A month passed and I was sent a bill for an additional $800. I called to inquire and was told that was the balance I owed after the insurance company paid their part. I explained that I had been given a treatment plan for a specific amount out of pocket and was told "I'm sorry...". So my advice to anyone who finds themselves in this situation is to do your research, make sure you know what your insurance company is going to pay, what you will be responsible for and get it in writing!

I love my visits, everyone friendly and take really good care of me. I definitely feel like family each visit.

Dr. Praveen Karkey, won't stop thanking you for such an amazing job. So happy I can feel so confident I can smile and not hide. If you need help with dental work, Desoto Family Dentistry is the place. The girls from the front to girls in the back make you feel at home. They know who you are. The Doctor is the best. He explains what he will do and let you know what's best. I was scared going to the dentist, but I never experienced pain. I got my wisdom teeth removed, several treatments. I was always in good hands. Thank you I always look forward to going to my appointments. 😊

The best dentist by far that I have encountered. My fast braces process was fast... Dr Varkey did a great job with educating along the way of the process. I absolutely love my smile and the process it took to get here was worth it. My daughter has braces and she love them as well. The staff show great hospitality very warm and friendly. They are good at working you in for emergencies and responding to calls. Very efficient and friendly nothing short of amazing!

All staff are friendly starting from the front desk on back. Every service is always explained before anything is done. I also bring my toddler son here and they are so patient with him, he loves coming each time!

I recently switched to this dentist office and have been satisfied with my decision ever since. The staff is wonderful and understanding. They work with you and make sure you always leave with answers to your questions. I appreciate the check up calls they give after your appointment. All around great office and I will continue to be a patient.

I was searching for a new Dental office and came in contact with this office. Worst Dental experience of my life. The Dentist was rude and told me that my issues with my mouth were my problem. I asked for gas(nitrous) 3 times during 3 different visits and was in so much pain and discomfort that I had to continuously ask is the gas on? The last time I was there and received gas after the Doctor told me my tooth issue was my problem, he turned the gas up so high that I could barely drive home and had to lay down when I arrived home. They usually allow you to be on oygen at least 5 minutes prior to you being released. That didn't happen. When the doctor asked how my bite felt with the new teeth, I was feeling to see and I said it feels ok, mind you I'm still under the effects of the gas. The Dentist got up so fast and said good! He was gone immediately! Mind you prior to me getting this procedure, The Dentist informed me that they would be able to adjust the color of my bridge and file the teeth down if needed. Well, the Dentist removed himself so quickly from the room without showing me the finished product of my teeth. I was so disgusted and felt as if he would file my teeth too much until it was unrepairable that I asked the Dental assistant for a mirror to see what was done and left. Now my teeth are too big and more yellow than the rest of my teeth. Thank you Dr. Praveen Varkey for my teeth that are too big and too yellow. Thank you for telling a first time patient that my issue was not yours and thank you for allowing me to be taking off nitrous without proper protocol. Remember you reap what you sow Mr. Varkey. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! THEY LITERALLY HURT YOU and either put you under too much gas or not enough! Get it together Mr. Praveen Varkey you give good Dentist a bad name. As patients, we know you didn't cause our problem, but when we choose you out of thousands of other Dentist, we expect as patients for you to make our problems yours and repair the damage after all that's the business you're in. Everyone else in the office was nice. But, Dr. Varkey could care less about his patients and he made that perfectly clear to me. I would be completely insane to ever come back. If you're looking for a caring, ethical Dentist....He is NOT the one. Not to mention I waited over 40 minutes to get seen.
