I want to say that Rio Vista Dentistry saved my life!

How and why?

I had a tooth abscess and the bleeding was inside my tooth, but I was always chewing gum so you couldn’t tell much.

In my lab work, I had received my count of 528. Very high!
My first procedure it came down to 328.
My second procedure it came down to 128.
My last procedure it came back down to normal of 20.

I want to start off by saying that Dr. Bonnie Villarreal is absolutely the best. She knew the years of experience I had in the dental field and the fear I had to get in the chair today. She made me feel relaxed and kept reassuring me that I was doing great during the procedure. Her assistant Mellie was wonderful keeping me calm and talking to me through my visit. I have been a patient at Rio Vista Dentistry since 1991. So, I’ve had the pleasure to be under the care of Dr Matthews, Dr Mackey and now Dr Bonnie. The care and treatment is outstanding and extensive in scope. The environment is professional, yet warm and compassionate giving it that family feel. My hygienist, Maria, is as good as it gets!

I would specifically recommend, for those who experience gum issues, the periodontal therapy treatment. I started the treatment 5/21/18. At that time my gums were receding and bleeding. I had 15 different pockets of gum deterioration measuring between 4-7 in depth. A healthy gum measures between 1-3. At my latest check up 5/26/21, I had 1 pocket that was a 4. The treatment works! Another plus, it is not an unpleasant experience!

Love this dentist office! The staff is always so nice and Dr. Bonnie is so nice and helpful. She helped save a tooth another dentist just wanted to pull out and she helped get rid of my jaw pain/headaches with getting a night guard. I’ve been going here for over seven years now, so glad I found a dentist who cares! Highly recommend.

Very amazing office. The assistants and staff were polite and Dr. James was very thorough with my exam. I understood where my pain was coming from, and he was very knowledgeable about it. The Staff at Rio Vista Dentistry are very professional and friendly. Mellie will always ask about my family and how my son is doing. She remembers all our names! That means a lot for someone to remember your whole family. Dr Bonnie is so wonderful she takes time to explain what she needs to do and if you have any questions. Dr Bonnie always takes time to also ask about my family. They make you feel like family.

My daughter has been in the dental field for many years and has always stressed how important it is to keep the spaces, where I had teeth extracted, filled. With her many years of knowledge, she explained the new technology the doctors use and how beneficial it is for my dental health.
