Xpress Dental

I'm writing this review to complain about Vanessa, who is the insurance clerk and supposedly the office manager too. She is rude, patronizing, and impatient. I called to ask her questions about my treatment and insurance, but she did not explain anything to me, not even what my share of charge was. Instead, she refused to answer any of my questions, and said she would call my insurance the day before my appointment. I said "Today is the day before, why can't you just call my insurance right now?". She refused. I told her I was very disappointed with her service, and she did not even acknowledge my statement. She just said, "Okay sir" and hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to the office manager, and they transferred me to her. When she answered, I asked, "Are you also the office manager?" She pretended she couldn't hear me and proceeded to hang up. I called back a third time and asked to speak to Dr. Tan. Again, I was transferred to Vanessa, and I told her I needed to speak to the doctor. She told me that he was busy, but even so, Dr. Tan does not talk to patients on the phone. That I would need to talk to him when I came for my appointment. And yet again, she hung up on me. She has no business dealing with people. I have read other posts that complain about the office staff, yet Dr. Tan does not seem to care. Needless to say, we will not return to his office. They will be losing five patients.

Got me in very quickly and even though yes his practice is busy I did not feel rushed. All the staff were very respectful and nice. Bedside manner was great as well. I was very pleased with my experience. Will be going back for any other dental needs

Dr. Tan is the best dentist I've ever had. For years I struggled with local dentists that just wanted to max out my insurance. Went to Mexican dentists in Progresso for several years because of that. Being present at a shoot out between Mexican marines and drug cartels got me interested in an American dentist again. I found X-press dental several years ago and have been there since.. He's not cheap but he has the staff and equipment to get the job done.. and no surprises when the bill is due..

Super happy to have found this dentist. I went through several bad experiences when I moved to the valley - and this Dr. Tan is incredible. His staff is amazing and took great care of us. We loved having the "family" exam room. Same day crown made for a great experience. Their extended hour and excellent service made what normally an unpleasant experience great.

Dr Tan is the best! He explains thoroughly to any questions/concerns. I recently had my wisdom teeth pulled out and didn’t feel a thing! On the plus side they’re open on weekends for the 9-5’s I would definitely recommend

First time here today, I am so satisfied with everything! They are caring,kind, knowledgeable, super clean. An amazing Team with Dr.Tan and the entire staff! Best dental office, they work with you as private pay and they really show they care for their patients. AMAZING! -Dora A.

I am so pleased to state that all the employees at Xpress Dental are so very nice and courteous. They don't make me wait and always ask how I am doing. Love going into my appointments. I feel like I am getting pampered every time I go in.

Staff is horrible. They seem to be standing around and overbooking patients. But when you complain the Doctor just blocks you as a patient. Doctor seemed more interested in being negative instead of helping patients that complain that the staff is horsing around instead of working. not trying to be a karen, but if i see 5 employees waiting to do nothing while the patients are waiting over 4-5 hours for service the least they can do is prep and have everything needed when going in to see the dentist. Once in the room the staff had no idea where items were at and what to do as the doctor had to tell them to make sure the items were clean and sterilized. Overheard other customer if you posted anything negative here on goggle review they will remove you as a patient, thus the Jane Doe. Expect to wait as a patient and expect the employees to be rude and to be honest immature.

The staff and dentist are awesome. They call ahead of time to confirm and rescheduling is easy. I've never waited long to be seen. I never have any pain with my cleanings or procedures. The hygienist and dentist answer all my questions. I've been here 2 years after a bad experience I had somewhere else

Dr John Tan pays close attention to details. He runs his office like a well oil machine. Staff is friendly, efficient and very attentive....was even given a warm blanket to keep my legs warm. Had my teeth cleaned and a cracked filling fixed on the spot. Well worth my 2 hour drive!!!
