he quality of work was good...However, when it comes to verifying insurance, it lacks professionalism. I had to have an implant completed and asked if they accepted and was approved by the company. I was told "yes" but they would send a "pre determination request", which I was familiar with based on past experience with other dentists. While waiting for the letter from the insurance company Smith's office set up different procedures to complete the process.
I never received an approval from the insurance company. When I went in for the final procedure, I asked if they received the approval....They answered only " i am sure it is all OK . we did submit the request".
Upon returning home I called the insurance company and they said they never received a request. ( They keep very detailed records) In addition, they informed me that the Dentist was not approved by the insurance company and would only pay 50%. Therefore, i would have to pay an additional $600.00.
So, if you are interested in using this dentist, I would suggest you verify anything they tell you and VERIFY cost with your insurance before having a procedure. (Based on past experiences with other dentists, I took them for their word)
This Dentist is more interested in $$$$$$ than being concerned about the patient.
I have used a number of dentists and have always been guided by people that are concerned about the patient and the ability to pay. Especially those on a fixed income . ..

Zachary had a great experience! He’s not the easiest patient to deal with since he has some very special needs. The dental hygienist was extremely sensitive to him and related well to his communication.needs. Dr. Smith was equally understanding of my son. We highly recommend this dental team.

Not many will say they don’t mind going to the dentist but I truthfully can. Dr. Tim and his entire staff are caring and concerned about their patients. Celia does a great job cleaning my teeth and is very thorough but mostly very gentle. I trust Dr. Tim will not do any procedure that is not in my best interest.
