Review of Dentist Orem

Dentist Orem: A Review

If you are looking for a dentist in Orem, Utah, you may come across Dentist Orem. This dental clinic is located at 211 E 840 S #5018, Orem, UT 84058. It offers general dentistry services such as cleanings, fillings, and extractions, as well as cosmetic dentistry services such as teeth whitening and veneers. However, before you book an appointment, you may want to read some reviews.

One customer had a negative experience at Dentist Orem. They felt that the clinic was more interested in making money than providing quality care. According to the customer, the hygienist and dentist convinced them that they had periodontitis and needed a special cleaning, even though they had no symptoms and no previous records were requested. The customer later found out that they only needed a regular cleaning, and they felt that they had been tricked into paying $438.20 for unnecessary treatment. The customer also mentioned that the clinic had a deal for people without insurance, but it came with strings attached. If they didn't pay $299.00 on the spot, they wouldn't qualify for a 20% discount, which reminded them of a used car lot.

Based on this review, it seems that Dentist Orem may not be the best choice for dental care. However, it's important to note that this is just one customer's experience. Other customers may have had positive experiences at the clinic. If you are considering Dentist Orem, you may want to do some research and read more reviews before making a decision. You may also want to compare prices and services with other dental clinics in the area.

Unnecessary Procedures Deceptive Pricing

For sure they are nice and keep it fun, but that's not what I went for. Plus, they get paid by commission--an eyebrow raiser right there.
The hygienist and dentist convinced me that my gums were infected and talked me into getting the SPR cleaning for periodontitis before I found out that I had none of the symptoms! No bleeding or sensitive gums, and they hadn't requested previous records to base their findings on. My family talked me into getting a 2nd opinion. That and my personal research proved that my $438.20 had been for nothing. I just needed a regular cleaning.
Also, beware the deal for those without insurance. If I had walked out of the office without paying $299.00 on the spot, I wouldn't have qualified for the 20% off from paying that membership fee. That reminded me of a used car lot. "If you leave, the deal's off". (So yeah, the cost for that SPR cleaning was for 20% above $438.20.)
So my advice, don't go there. At least go somewhere else first and have these guys be your 2nd opinion and be sure to call around for prices! The dentist who did my 2nd opinion said I could have their deal for people with no insurance ($99 cheaper than Merit's) if I paid on the visit when they did some work on me. Plus they are trustworthy and they've received the Best of Utah Valley award for many years.
My work was done at Merit's Orem office. Dr. DeLoach in the Draper Merit Dental owns Orem and the Draper offices, but he was of no help with my grievance.
