Doreen, my hygienist, was thorough and made sure I understood each process and why it was important for my health. Paul, my dentist, was able to assess my future needs in a succinct manner. Going back next month to get some fillings 😎

I have been to many many dentists as someone who moves a lot. Dr. Porter is amazing! The staff is polite(and personable!), the office is clean, and they did an awesome job managing my pain. Praises all around!

Really wonderful experience. All the staff & Dr. were attentive and kind. Took the time to talk through all my questions and then some and educated me on things to look out for. Was incredibly impressed.

I have been a patient of Avenues Family Dentistry for over 10 years. I am impressed with the professional and personal care of Dr. Porter and his staff. I also love the 7:30 am appointment time. Susan is an awesome hygienist!

Everyone was super friendly, including front end staff, hygienist, and dentist. They were on time and efficient, without feeling rushed. The hygienist and dentist took the time to explain what was happening. The office is a bit dated, but all the equipment seemed fine.

Dr. Porter and his staff have been taking great care of me for years! Highly recommend this facility for their professionalism and friendly, caring attitudes! Gets things done right the first time! Never recommends something I don't need!!

I got my teeth cleaned and I was very happy with the results. Thank you for the help that you gave me getting around. It was good to find the reason that my gums were hurting in the one place. I will get to new something I can't remember the name on Monday and everything will be set crowns that's the word I was looking for two new crowns. Haven't done this before on text on Google this is new for me. Thank you for being kind and helping me I appreciate that very much see you on Monday Maggie Tao

Avenues Dentistry is the best. Great staff and chair side manner. Dr Porter explained all aspects of the procedure, made sure I understood all the options, and made sure I was comfortable with my decision. I recommend them highly.

Everyone is super nice and the office is gorgeous but GET A SECOND OPINION. I just recently moved to slc from Provo and was looking for a new dentist and found this place from my insurance provider. I went in for 6 month cleaning and was told I would need 6 crowns and with insurance would be $4000. I had just gone to my old dentist 6 months prior and crowns had never been brought up. Every now and then I would need a filling but there was never even a mention of possible crowns so I was quite in shock. Today I went back to my old dentist and had them do an X-ray and look at the SIX teeth this dentist said I needed crowns for. My dentist said that was completely unnecessary and not something he would recommend. I felt like I was being sold stuff the whole time I was there. This place also told me they would need to fit me for a mouth guard bc apparently I grind my teeth too. Beware, especially if you’re a new patient. If you really do need the work done I would still advise going somewhere else bc their prices are crazy. They do have a tv on the ceiling though so you can watch Netflix for your $4000 crowns. So there’s that.

Went in for a crown and left with a splitting headache. Spent over two hours sitting on the chair waiting for this and that to get actual work done on my tooth for under an hour. Disappointed ☹️. My first crown took just a little over an hour.
I guess it’s time to find a new dentist.
