I left this practice because I was given unnecessary procedures. I was told that I had cavities and this was the first and only time that I was told I had any cavities. I asked Dr. Dionisio if there was any alternative to using a needle to numb my gums because I don't like needles. She lied to me and told me that there wasn't an alternative. After Dr. Dioniso completed one side of my mouth, I did further research and found out that there is an alternative called Waterlase. Therefore, I went to another dentist who used the Waterlase and asked him to fill the "cavities" on the other side of my mouth. After seeing the second dentist, I realized that Dr. Dionisio lied to me about having cavities. I did not have cavities and still had the sealants on my teeth that I received as a child. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE AT ALL AND I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GET A SECOND OPINION!!!! She also gave unnecessary procedures to other former patients of her practice that I know of. They also thanked me after they got second opinions prior to proceeding with any procedures.

Ma’s employees used proper practices for the COVID situation we are addressing. The dentist explained my dental issues clearly and was very fair as far as monetary issues go, so I don’t believe I was overcharged at all.

I have been a patient at Ma's Family and Cosmetic Dentistry under the care of Dr. Campbell since she opened it in 2010. I recently went in for a routine visit and was so happy (as always) with the experience that I thought I would finally find some time to write a review about how wonderful Dr. Campbell is, as well as each member of her staff.
I have a condition that requires that I avoid stimulants, such as Novocain. Dr. Campbell never forgets, and even though the alternative numbing agent makes her job harder because it takes much longer to kick in while also wearing off more quickly than Novocaine, she is always patient and reassuring.
After a filling she'd done for me, I began experiencing extreme sensitivity in that tooth. She was quick to respond and explored some options with me. One of the options was to get the opinion of the Endodontist located in the office suite right next to hers. After getting his opinion that a root canal might be a possibility, Dr. Campbell and I agreed that we would try one more thing before going that route. She suggested a sedative filling - which I'd never heard of before - to see if that would help relieve the nerve pain. The sedative filling worked immediately; I was able to tolerate hot and cold foods again and, best of all, avoid a root canal.
Dr. Campbell is a rare gem - not only in the world of Medical Dentists, but in the entire world. She genuinely cares about her patients comfort, needs, after-care, and even financial circumstances. She has had the same staff since she opened, and I truly believe that can be directly attributed to her amazing personality, professionalism, and authenticity.
I have recommended Dr. Campbell and her staff to many in my network, and all who make an appointment come back to me with positive feedback and grateful for the referral. I live in Loudoun County and have to pass maybe hundreds of dental offices during the hour-long drive to Kingstown/Alexandria, but I refuse to see anyone else.
