My relationship with Nova Family Dentistry began when my wife who was experiencing dementia misplaced her bottom plate. The patience and concern that Dr Namrata Kaur and her staff displayed in ensuring that the replacement plate, not only matched her top plate, but complimented her smile are hard to match. I was so impressed with the concern and care they exhibited with my wife that I immediately started having then do work on my long neglected teeth, necessitating that root canals, crowns, extractions and bridges had to be performed. As wife my wife, Dr Kaur has been informative, patient, and sensitive to my needs. She is very focused and desired to make sure things are done properly on each visit. All of the staff in this office are caring, professional, and go out of their way to ensure all details are known of your cost and times of future visits, if necessary. I highly recommend this practice.

I've been to Dr. Kaur twice now (once for cleaning and second for filling) and I highly recommend her. When I first went for a cleaning (been too long...) she was super nice, helpful, and very gentle. She spent an hour with me for a cleaning. I haven't been to a dental office where the dentist actually cleans your teeth, it's usually the hygienist. So I was super surprised by that. She also spent a lot of time and patience answering my questions. I felt that my cleaning was really thorough. The second time was for a filing and I hate filings. But she made the process comfortable, quick (45 min for two filings), and way less scary. The front office staff are SUPER nice and helpful and they always call / text / email to confirm your appointment so you won't forget. I can feel that I'm getting over my fear of dentists because of Dr. Kaur.

Dr.Kaur and her staff are amazing! I started Invisalign April 2021 and today finally finished and got my retainers. I was hesitant at first but the time went by so fast and Dr. Kaur made the process so easy. Anytime I had an issue I was able to get into the office right away. If anyone was thinking of doing Invisalign go see Dr. Kaur she made the process so simply and made sure you were happy with the outcome a long the way. So happy with the outcome and love my new smile!!

Dr. Kaur has been husband & my dentist for several years now & I can't recommend her highly enough. She has been available by phone over the weekend when an emergency occurred, tailors her approach to the individual, and her manner is first class. I so appreciate how she effortlessly combines straight forward common sense with a very healthy dose of kindness & empathy. If you have been putting off going to the dentist or are just looking for a new provider, give Dr. Kaur a try. Dr. Namarata Kaur and her staff are exceptional in all areas of their craft. I've always felt comfortable and welcomed within their facility and this has helped me not dread going to the dentist.
One of my favourite aspects, other than the studio Ghibli music that plays, is that they aren't forceful on recommending treatments as I've experienced at other dentists. They give you all of the information and let you decide whether or not it's something you want to pursue.
Overall this has been the best dentist I've been to in the DC area and I'm looking forward to going here for the foreseeable future.

Dr Kaur and her staff have been great for all of my visits. I had never had a filling before and she made sure to explain everything to me before hand. My girlfriend goes to her as well and actually referred me initially when I had a change of insurance and needed to find a new dentist. I’m very glad I chose her as my dentist.
