Best dentist in Hampton Roads! The people are all great, very friendly and helpful. Dr Horwitz always has a great, positive attitude and explains everything he is doing. He is always very careful to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. The technicians and office staff operate the same way. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

I came here for a second opinion regarding a minor crack in my tooth. While my regular dentist couldn't offer any remediation beyond "watch and wait," Dr. Dorfman offered to shave the tooth down ever so slightly so that when I bite, I wouldn't hit that tooth as hard. It made an immediate difference and now I can chew more comfortably on my right side again - a huge relief!!

The office is very technologically advanced, with top of the line photographing instruments, x-ray capabilities, and more. I was very impressed with the knowledge of the dental assistants as well, who made a point of educating me about the technology and the remediation that was offered. All in all, I felt like a part of the conversation, which was a nice relief since it can be a little scary to go to the dentist sometimes. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone looking for an excellent dentist and team of professionals!

I have been going to Abbey Horwitz since I was a kid and now that I have a family myself it was important to me to make sure they too had a great dentist as well. Katherine by far is one of the best hygienist, but all the staff there is wonderful. This past appointment my whole family went as a group not only did the accommodate us all they made it a wonderful experience for my daughter whom was having her very first dental cleaning. Her hygienist made her feel comfortable and made her feel safe the entire time. My husband’s hygienist even allowed her to sit in with my husband to observe, talk about a team that cares about their patients and their level of comfort. My son loved his hygienist for talking him through the process and listening to his concerns. As we all are aware the dentist can be a scary place, but Abbey and associates make you feel like a family, they remember your name and treat you like more than just another set of teeth.

After not having been to the dentist for 13 years I was a little apprehensive at the least to finally get in the door. My mind was put at ease immediately at Abbey Horowitz DDS & Associates. The front desk, dental hygienists and doctors were all so helpful, patient and friendly! I was in and out very quickly and the dental work I had done was simple and painless. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in Virginia Beach! They're the best!

My visit was nothing short of fantastic. I have never been afraid of the dentist but I have also never felt completely comfortable with dentist appointments in the past. The staff at Abbey Horwitz & Associates not only made me feel comfortable, they made me excited about my dental health and my future visits. The attitudes of every single member of the staff were so welcoming and absolutely incredible. I felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. My expectations were exceeded beyond anything I could have imagined. I think it is obvious by now that I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a personal experience with staff that is both knowledgeable and truly caring.

I had my regular cleaning appointment and as always, it was a very comfortable experience. From the reception, to the hygienist, to the dentist, everyone is friendly and makes me feel at ease about being there. Lissy has been my hygienist for a very long time and she is the best. Always friendly, always gentle and attentive. Dr. Dorfman has been my dentist since he started working there and I couldn't be more satisfied!

I absolutely love Abbey Horwitz DDS & Associates. The entire staff is so nice and friendly. Kathryn is so thorough during cleanings and just a pleasure to talk to. She always makes sure she schedules my next six month appointment before I leave, which is so helpful. Myself as well as my parents have been a patient here for at least the last 8 years, maybe longer. The office is superb and very welcoming, as are the staff up front and in the back. My hygienist is great, friendly and handles the instruments with precision and care all whilst not causing me any discomfort. Dr. Dorfman is a great new addition to the team.
