My previous dentistry stopped taking my insurance so I had to find something else. That's when I found Martin Dentistry online. I scheduled an appt and was able to be seen within a reasonable amount of time. Now I will say this - the staff here is very nice. They greet you very pleasantly when you walk in, very courteous over the phone, and even while you're in their care, they're very pleasant.
Since I've been an adult, I hadn't kept up with my dentist appts, so it had been years since I was last seen by a dentist. I never saw Dr Martin, but Dr Nordgren saw me and said that I had a total of 8 cavities. Complete shock to me because I thought I was taking pretty good care of my teeth. Sure, I would believe about 2 or 3 cavities, but 8?!?!
Nonetheless, I trusted her diagnosis and allowed her to perform a routine cavity fill on the left side of my mouth on 4 teeth. This was in September 2017. I'd never had a filling before, so I didn't quite know what to expect. After the numbness wore off, I felt sensitivity in my teeth on my left side after drinking and eating, regardless of whether it was cold or hot. My teeth were never sensitive before, so this was quite uncomfortable. The next day, one particular tooth was very uncomfortable and there was a slight pain associated with it. Called them and scheduled an appt. In the meantime, I couldn't even chew or drink on my left side. At the scheduled appt, they coated my teeth with some flouride. It seemed to help for like 2-3 days, but then the pain and sensitivity was back. I set another appt where they did the same thing. This was in October. At that appt, Dr Nordgren told me that their only option left, if the flouride doesn't help, is to re-fill the tooth, and if that doesn't work, I would need to get a root canal. Well, it didn't help, so we scheduled another appt for the re-fill. The re-fill didn't help at all. I ended up getting that one tooth extracted in April 2018 (much cheaper than a root canal!) and boy did it feel great to be able to chew on my left side again!!! But a few days after the extraction, I've been feeling sensitivity in the other teeth Dr Nordgren filled.
I ended up going back to my old dental practice after the insurance issue was fixed. Mind you, when I left Martin dentistry, I supposedly still had 4 more cavities on the right side of my mouth. I allowed my old dentist to examine my teeth - come to find out, there was only ONE cavity on my right side. He filled it, and I have NO issues at all with that filling. Makes me wonder if I really had 4 cavities on my left side, and makes me wonder if Dr Nordgren really knows what she doing or not. I can't speak for any other Dentist in this office because she was the only one I ever saw, but I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Been going to this office for several years. The staff is always polite & courteous. Doc Martin has always gone the extra mile to make sure that all concerns are addressed. He's even been able to work me in on a couple of emergency events.

I visited this place a while ago to change silver fillings to white fillings and I got home and noticed some of the silver fillings were still on my tooth the lady didn’t clean it that good. My two bottom left molar’s had a bad taste and hurts when I eat so I thought it was normal, I visited another dentist and I asked why my teeth were hurting and have bad taste and they checked it and found out I had two leakages so I got it re-done and there’s no more hurting and bad taste.

Dr. Nordgren did some fillings for me and every since she’s done them my teeth has been extra sensitive. I’ve had fillings done elsewhere before and my teeth has never been this sensitive for this long. Also, it was hard for me to get floss in between the fillings because she didn’t floss in between them after she was done, which most dentist do. They will also refer you to an oral surgeon whom isn’t within your insurance network, which will have you paying a large amount of money out of pocket.
