Federal Way Dental Excellence

As much as I hate to admit this, I am terrified of the dentist. Unfortunately my solution to my fear was just to not go (I don't recommend this btw). Finally my mouth hurt bad enough I had to bite the bullet and find a dentist. The girlfriend found one in federal way that she really liked and said they treated her kind so i told her I'll try it.
My previous dentist in seattle didn't fit my crown right and has been my problem child ever since, granted it probably didn't help that i was eating hard candy two weeks before breaking down and needing a dentist.

So let's get to the good stuff. The dental assistant I had was Amy and she reassured i was in good hands. She is funnier than hell and kept me calm while sitting in the chair. I really liked her and I hope she knows how much i truly appreciated her.

When Dr Ray came in and saw my problem child tooth, he listed off options that i had for it. His demeanor was calm and I felt he was very knowledgeable so I knew i was in good hands just like Amy said.

The other thing I really appreciated about these two was that they kept checking in with me while they were fixing my mouth. Even if i didnt say anything they saw my body tense up and would ask. If i said i felt something they got me more comfortable with the numbing, etc.

I highly recommend Dental Excellence and whoever gets Dr Ray and dental assistant Amy, just know they are fantastic and you truly are in good hands.

Haven't been to the dentist in years (pandemic + dentist anxiety...) but found the courage to get an appointment for x ray, check up, and clean up. Lam took care of me and was awesome: he was very patient, considerate, nice, and made sure I was comfortable at all time. The receptionist was also extremely nice and took the time to answer all the questions I had. I couldn't recommend this place more!

I am so grateful i found a dental team,who really takes care of my dental needs. The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful setting the tone for the visit! I live the office feeling like a million bucks! The Drs and hygienists are highly skilled , knowledgeable, and professional! I live 45 min away from there and I don't mind to commute for such a great dental care!

We wanted to thank this incredible team for this review. They have been our family's dentist for years and are all so kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I am really glad to have a dentist that I trust and that is affordable and understanding of my needs and concerns. Will continue to use them and would refer them to absolutely anyone in the area that needs a good dentist.

They're amazing. I was able to get in on an emergency visit immediately. Everyone was very kind. Came back a week later for a root canal and crown in the same day, which was great! The process was painless and even got a filling done while waiting for the crown to be made IN OFFICE! Very informative which made the process even better and made any anxiety I had go away.

Never on time (I am not talking about 5-10 min wait.. Its 45-90 min wait). You have to wait for doctor to accommodate other patients scheduled in a same time with you. Your time is not valuable in here. You would expect all will be ready for your upcoming appointment - not in this office. Its disrespectful. I had procedures which didn't go well. Had to redo implant crown. They didn't check on their job - mistake was discovered by cleaning assistant (thanks to people who care). My crown was not ready for my appointment, then it was wrong fit (sad that doctor didn't see that ), then i came for next appointment and discovered that it wrong again, cant fit and had to make a new impression for another try. Would you be happy about coming multiple times but only get more disappointed?! Root canal took over 3 hours!! Try to stay with open mouth that long (!) After temporary crown cement and thread was left inside gum which caused inflammation and pain. After, finally getting my implant crown, the filling they put on top of screw, fell out the same day. My phone calls with messages not returned. They have sign that emergency patients the same day - not true. Its only 2 doctors who dont overlook patients. Any way take my advice - stay away from that place. Its great clean beautiful office, but if you shooting for good professional service, if you like to plan your day - this place is not for you. Very disappointing!!!

I cracked a tooth while visiting my daughter. We called afternoon on a Saturday and they were able to see me within two hours. The tooth had to be extracted and Dr. Ray did that immediately after viewing the x-rays. Not only was he highly skilled and professional, but the entire staff was friendly, efficient and supportive.

I am so grateful to have found this place. I had an infected wisdom tooth and they got me in same day and took care of me. The receptionist, dental hygienist and dentist were so incredibly kind throughout the whole experience. They kept me comfortable from start to finish and even made me laugh. I can’t recommend them enough !

I've always love this group, clean environment and friendly people. Very accommodating and easy to talk to. My hygienist and my dentist is very respectful and always made sure I am satisfied. I would recommend this dentist to people .

My kids loved their appointment today! My son laid all the way back and my daughter who is 2 finally let them do a full cleaning with the prophy brush for the first time and sat so still for pictures. Dr. Ray was amazing as well as the staff!
