LOVE Normandy Park Family Dentistry!! Melissa is the best dental hygienist, she is so funny and really makes your appointment fly by! You can’t go wrong with any of the hygienists though my husband sees Lacey and loves her as well!! Dr. Carey and his team are truly the best! They book out far in advance so if you are looking for a new Dentist book now!!!! They are worth the wait :)

I’ve been coming here for years! I love this office! Dr.Carey is incredibly nice and personable. The dental hygienists are AMAZING, they are so fun and easy to work with. The office staff is also always very courteous and helpful. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!

I had some trauma from my previous dentist and was hesitant to try a new location but Dr. Carey and his staff are thee BEST! Everyone here loves their job and truly cares. I scheduled my first visit for 10 AM 11/17/22 on 10/4/22 and had to request time off from work. Unfortunately, power was out that day. They had me standby for the morning. I understood, although it was frustrating since I had other things scheduled. Then at midday the power was not back. Eventually, my appointment was cancelled.
I was upset since I arranged this way in well advance and used my time off from work for nothing. However, I could understand. I was able to use the rest of day for something else. They said they would call me the next day. I did not get a call. Then, today they called me to reschedule it for Feb 2023 as they do not have openings.
I think it is a common sense for everyone to know that patients in this time of year schedule dental appointments to use up their yearly benefit before the end of year. All they have to say "we can scheduled you for perhaps January/Feb and contact you if there is a cancellation."
Well, if there was no cancellation, then they would only simply say that there is nothing they could do as there was no cancellation.
I also work in health care as well. I know how clinics work. In this exceptional situation, clinics do make exceptions. I certainly made such exceptions for situations that patients did everything right.
They perhaps have enough patients not to care much of patient's inconvenience especially when patients did nothing wrong but all the things to make it to the appointment.
Only thing that I could do would be not giving my business which they don't seem to be need anyway.

I would only be a patient that is irrational to them. However, again I also work in health care and so I know enough.

All they had to say was they did nothing wrong since it was the power that was out. If I could point out which I did not say on the phone, it is not patients' fault that the clinic did not have backup generators.

I always have such a positive experience when I have an appointment. Melissa is kind and welcoming. All the staff are incredible. Dr. Olson is a delight and explains things really well.

My wife and I have been going here for years and the office is always on time, clean, and the staff and Dr. Carey are super friendly. Highly recommend!

Have had a great experience at this dentist. Very courteous every time I visit. They give advice about improving dental health, but are never judgemental about it. They also ask about how your life is going, and will remember details about it the next time you come. This shows that you aren't just another patient to them, and they have an interest in having a lasting relationship with you.

Normandy Park Family Dentistry is by far the best dental office I’ve ever visited (and unfortunately, I have had plenty of dental visits in my lifetime!). I suffer from high anxiety due to several bad dental experiences, including a root canal on the wrong tooth or a crown placed on top of dental cement causing a painful infection. I’m glad I held out hope there was a good clinic somewhere in the world and that I had an a dear friend who guided me to Dr Carey and Normandy Park Family Dentistry. The staff is warm and friendly and make you feel like family. Dr Carey is knowledgeable and kind. Dental Hygienist Melissa is the best thing since sliced bread (she may be even better than a black lab, which is hard to top) I’ve been going here for years and highly recommend them to anyone seeking an kind, compassionate, amazing dental experience!
